i had the thought of running a mid to late game stuffy doll based deck with the addition of Boros Reckoner coming into the format. i dont know maybe a spell that does 13 damage to all creatures. or a few burn spells to help push the win in. now have that as a 2nd win con and a average bloodrush/batalion to help carry the game through so your not relying on 1 way of winning. thoughts?
To me it kinda sucks i was going into the format trying to build storm and becuase of the ban i have started looking into a whole new style deck of using RW and Bloodrush to get me the win. With all the new cards coming out and all the cards that are out there who is to say that the bans are bad. yes they slow some of the decks down but i dont believe that makes that wrong for banning those cards. It just allows more growth in the format. I mean how many decks are gonna spawn off of the BBE ban 2-3 maybe? I say maybe it is time to bring a little more creativeness into the format and move it forward not have everyone playing the say deck (Jund).

So i am looking at making a post gatecrash boros deck and i am trying to determine what i should run in it.. below is my thoughts and i am more than willing to here all the thoughts of others out there. I am open to other thoughts or what people might consider good cards for side board to deal with other types of decks that might be expected to be seen. the deck is far from complete but it is what i have so far. I will edit it and try and get it up to par soon. changes will include new cards and swapping out and mana fixing.
I am looking at running GWR Mid range to late game deck after GC comes out and i am wondering if there are any spells that allow you to ramp up your mana? I know the standard green but are there any good red/white ones to use?
This Deck was an idea after seeing a zombie deck that had Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, I played the deck and board wipes didnt help any no matter how fast i could wipe the board he just kept spawning more and more mobs. So I decided to make a deck that would abuse undying and persist. I chose Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter for his sacrifice ability to pump him up while using creatures that will keep coming back to the field. His 2nd ability allows me to sacrifice a creature. remove a threat from the board and get my creature back stronger than before.
My History in Magic
I started Magic back in 3rd edition. I started playing back in high school with a little group of friends who help introduce me to the game. I played for a little while up until a little after Ice Age. I picked the game back up right after Avacyn came out. I started playing with a Mono-green deck and ended up getting my first pack of M13 and pulled a Stuffy Doll out and i fell in love with the mechanics of the card. I have built many decks with him in the deck just for the head scratching that it and laughs it gets and nothing is better than the tears that come when stuffy does the last point of damage to the opponent.
Mechanics of the Deck
So Let us say we Play our general Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter on the field and we have Sightless Ghoul on the field and our general hits the field. We pass the turn. Everyone else goes. it is our main phase. We sacrifice our Sightless Ghoul has 2/2 power/toughness. When we sacrificed the Ghoul we got to put (2) +1/+1 Counters on our general who becomes a 7/7 and our Sightless Ghoul goes to the graveyard. Our Sightless Ghoul comes back from the undying trigger with a +1/+1 Counter on it making it a 3/3 now. We Cast Cauldon Haze which give our Sightless Ghoul Persist and undying. We sacrfice the creature again and it goes to the graveyard. Since we are in control of the triggers we want to trigger the undying trigger first which forces it to remain in the graveyard due to having a +1/+1 counter on it and then trigger the persist trigger which brings it back to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. Since we sacrificed it to our general who was a 7/7 he gets 3 more counters on him to make him a 10/10. We then sacrifice the Sightless Ghoul to our general for a 3rd time and he gets 1 more counter on him from the Sightless Ghoul making our general a 11/11. When he goes to the graveyard we lose the -1/-1 counter from persist and we use the undying trigger to bring our Sightless Ghoul back from the graveyard. as a 3/3.

My question is if i have a creature that has undying and i use a spell to give him persist and i sacrifce him how to the abilities take affect?
Also if the creature has a +1/+1 counter on it from undying and i give it persist and sac it does it lose the +1/+1 counter and come back? And if it dies again does it come back with the +1/+1 counter on it?
here is my attempt at doing a atrifact deck. i have looked at some of the other decks but i also love putting my own twist on things. I am looking for this to be a deck that makes other people groan when they play it.
the deck is still in the work i am trying to figure out what i need to take out to get in at least 4 more lands. and need to work the sideboard so that i am able to handle flyers.
