I would check with your local/state/federal laws if I were you, just to make sure you are not selling over the business threshold and owe the government taxes.

Also, personally I would advise against buying booster boxes solely just to sell packs. Unless you can get your boxes directly from the distributor instead of a store, and then sell your packs around 2.50 a piece with competitive or free shipping, you will never make your money back. Besides that most people do not buy loose packs online unless they get them for ridiculously cheap for the fear of them being searched and/or mapped. Just my 2c.

Depends of the volume of inventory you are selling. If you are selling tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of inventory, then yes you will need to register as a business with your local/state government for tax purposes. But if it is only one or two cards, you can go ahead and sell them on ebay or TCGPlayer without getting a license. It really depends on how much profit you are making and if it is taxable as a business.

Where did you get those "packs". I'd love to pick some up for my cube. Do fit double sleeves?

Go to gatherer.wizards.com and search vintage and checklist view. The best I think you are going to get.

Hyping bad cards is how they make their money back on an otherwise mediocre set, whether the business is greedy or not. Customers can chose whether to buy a card at $40 on release, assuming risk that it will drop as more cards are drafted/opened up, or wait until the card drops in price. For me, I take any hype as a grain of salt because I know how the system works. But I understand how someone who gets trapped in it may feel "ripped off", but ultimately it is that customer's risk analysis of the card.

Hype is a marketing technique typically used in the gaming and movie industries, among others. It is used to get customers to buy products immediately upon release, regardless of quality. More hype you put into a product, more profit is expected at release.

Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker was a $40+ card for a while, now it is a $2 card. Same with Jace, Architect of Thought.

You should look into the Ultra Pro Satin Towers. They can fit a double sleeved EDH deck and have a compartment for dice/accessories underneath. Here is a list of available colors from their site: http://www.ultrapro.com/product_list.php?cPath=71_143

Do you know how many double sleeved cards it can fit?

A little bit more than 100. The exact number escapes me right now. 120 might be too much though. Slant

Well for $30 you can get the core set online. It contains two Tie Fighters and an X-wing, and all the stuff you need to play the game, as well as some scenarios for two people (And yes, there are rule variants that you can play with more than two people). It is a good way to start and throw around at the kitchen table once in a while to see if others are interested. If you can find nobody, well, you got some sweet Ties and an X-wing to put on display. I know this thread is a little old, but I do have to say that this is one of the best small scale miniature games on the market right now. This is pretty much my second addiction, after Magic. If you are a Star Wars fan, especially original trilogy, and a tabletop fan, then this game is a must for you. I'd say it is very inexpensive for a game of its type, compared to Warhammer or Warmachine. For the cost of a competitive standard deck (~$500), you can get an army of miniatures to pretty much form whatever squadron you want. That is to say, all the expansions with multiple copies. I'd say that is pretty cheap for a collectible game.

There are so many pros to this game it is not even funny: 1) It is a well developed Star Wars space/flight skirmish game. It is also one of the most balanced games I've ever played. Both Rebels and Imperials are equal on most playing fields, but still having different techniques and tactics that is unique to each side. 2) It is very easy to learn. The rules are that sweet spot between simple and complex. Not too simple, but not too complex. Just right for everyone to play from your five year old son/daughter to your older parents or grandparents who grew up on the original trilogy to the competitive hardcore gamer. It is easy to pickup over the course of a few games, but FFG are always adding new fun things to the game through expansions/waves of ships. 3) Everything is pre-painted (I view this as a pro, because I am not very good at painting. Some people might find this as a con). The detail is amazing and each miniature is very well painted. Of course you can paint over them with your own colors/styles and that is a common thing to do in the x-wing miniature culture. 4) It is cheap. Like I said, you can build an entire army for less than $500. For less than $100 you can build a competitive squad (similar to building a deck vs collection). Small minis go from $10-15, large $20-30, depending where you can find them online. They are releasing super sized minis later this year in the form of Tantive IV and a Rebel Transport, and those will be more expensive of course.

For the cons: Fantasy Flight is always backed up in production. They were not expecting it to be as successful, if not their most successful game. Other than that, I can't really find any other cons other than damage is calculated by dice rolls (but that is not a con for me because I play D&D and I like dice rolling chance/luck).

My favorite miniatures to play so far are the Royal Guard Interceptors and the Slave 1. To me this is a five stars out of five stars game.

Interested in what others have to say.

Has anyone tried out the new colors (Blue/Red/Brown) of the KMC Hypers? Are they the same quality as the black/clear ones? Same ease of shuffle? Same ease to double sleeve? I really would like the blue ones, but I want to see other opinions first.

So I was wondering if anyone picked up any of those new Ultra Pro Dual Mana Flip boxes and tested them out to see if they fit two double sleeved 100 card decks. I really like the leatherette look but I only double sleeve.

On a side note, I picked up some of the UP 100+ clear acrylic deck boxes and I do say they are pretty amazing. I have my commander precons in them for easy storage/carry.

It might be fine in a very casual deck, but competitively it doesn't stand a chance compared to other creatures. A 1/3 attacking with that ability is not very threatening.

Anyone know what kind of sleeves these are? I had them from a few years ago and would like to buy more. I'm guessing that they are green dragon shield. Can anyone confirm? No ultrpro logo on the front of the sleeve.

It could be Dragon Shields or KMCs. They look very similar to the green dragon shields I have, except the ones I have are much darker. Super green KMCs tend to be a lighter green similar to your color. Then again it could be the lighting of the photograph. I want to say they are Dragon Shields based on the thickness.
