Anyway, any suggestions on cards to put in/take out would be greatly appreciated. I would love to make this a great control deck that my opponents fear. Right now it's kinda hit-or-miss. Thank you in advance
I used to have another thread with this topic, but I couldn't find it. Hope it's okay that I'm making a new thread. Anyway, I really love the character Nahiri, the Lithomancer and have been trying to make a deck with her as the general. It's difficult because monowhite is probably one of the worst archetypes for EDH with its lack of card-draw. It's doable, but difficult. I'm definitely trying to focus the deck around being a control deck. So here's what I have thus far:

Made a lot more changes. I'm really liking the configuration I have right now. More controlling. My playgroup hates it because they feel like I have an answer for everything they play.
You could always drop Sphinxs rev. X cost cards are horrible in narset decks. Also look into holy mantle and spirit mantle
That is something I'm considering. I've been repeatedly disappointed whenever Rev was one of the four cards revealed by Narset. And it's not like I didn't consider that when I was making the deck. I was just naive enough to think I would be casting Rev from my hand most of the time. I also didn't consider how much I actually don't want to draw cards. Until Omniscience is on the field, that is. Manipulating the deck is much better.
Ive had good results out of overburden and static orb. Also I don't play instants on other peoples turns so I run price of glory. I also used to run soothsaying but ive had better results out of mystic speculation. And ive had cards like blatant thievery and other permanant stealing enchantments like volition reins and confiscate put in loads of work.
When I was buying cards a couple weeks ago, Overburden was on my list, but I was talked out of it. I like the idea, but the guy I was buying cards from said it wasn't as good in my deck. I would have probably still bought it, but cutting it made room for Soothsaying, because that wasn't originally on my list.
I'm fairly happy with my deck right now. I played some more last night in a four person match. I could have won, but I punted so hard. I revealed Armageddon and Cataclysm from Narset's trigger with Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Venser, the Sojournor, and Ghostly Prison in play. I had Assemble the Legion in hand, too. I knew I wanted to cast both Cataclysm and Armagedoon, but knew I would lose both of my planeswalkers from Cataclysm. To make up for that, I was going to play Assemble. That way I'd be getting tokens to protect Narset from any sacrifice abilities (except Crackling Doom because I was playing against Khaalia).
I made the mistake of casting Assemble the Legion before casting Cataclysm. After I passed the turn I was so mad I didn't just float the mana, cast Armageddon, cast Cataclysm, keep my Ghostly Prison, then cast Assemble the Legion. Because I didn't keep Ghostly Prison, after the Khaalia player was killed, I was dead a few turns later
I used to have this combo in the deck when I first built it actually. The problem with it is the same problem that I have with Test of Endurance, everyone else gets a turn to disrupt it in some way. For my meta it's just too easy to disrupt. Either you need ten mana to drop both of them in one turn, which leaves very little mana up for protection for the combo, or you have to spread it out over multiple turns, in which case my opponents have multiple turns to disrupt it.
You'd have to squeeze it in, but there's always Leyline of Anticipation. Flash something in at the end of the turn right before your upkeep. Probably more difficult because you'd want a little redundancy. Just a thought, though.
I ended up proxying the cards I don't have yet, which is only 15, and played a couple games last night. First match was me and two others, then with three others. I won both matches. One person was playing a Kaalia deck. He was too afraid to attack into Aurification, then Ghostly Prison kept him at bay, even though he is able to cheat in an extra attacker (Right?). He decided to go after the Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck. It's a pretty brutal deck. Unfortunately for him, by the time the Nekusar opponent was out, I had him dead in two turns and an army of 1/1 pegusus's (sp?) to block any attacks he might have gotten through.
Second game I got my fiance (a Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon deck) to rage quit a turn or two after she killed Nekusar. But then, I did keep her general tapped down with Tamiyo, the Moon Sage, and if she had been able to attack I was holding onto an Oblation and Condemn.
I like my Narset deck. However, I don't believe I'll be winning very many more games. I think they'll all target me right away.
Thank you! I've been trying to figure out why some people play Venser. Now I know. I wanted him in my deck because he's one of my favorite Planeswalkers, but I wasn't sure if he'd be any good. I didn't make the connection.
Thanks for the suggestions. My little playgroup is pretty casual, and I don't want to get completely hated because of an infinite loop with infinite turns or something. As fun as that would be for me, I don't think it would be too much fun for everyone else
Deck is nearly complete. It's gone through various changes since I first posted the list. I'm pretty sure I will be painting a target on my own back, but I'm excited to try it out.
I know I'm not the first, and I won't be the last to build this type of deck. I saw Narset be put to use on the SCG Commander videos and instantly wanted to build a similar deck. I love the pillow fort idea. I've browsed other similar threads to kind of put my own list together. Here's what I've come up with:
I know there's awesome deck manipulation cards like Scroll Rack, but I'm not too comfortable dropping $20+ for a single card. I know it seems weird, but I, for now, draw the line at $15/card.
Anyways, I'm looking for advice on this deck. There's so many cards that do what I want the deck to do that I'm overwhelmed by it. So I'm coming here for help. I guess my goal with the deck is to be difficult to attack, controlling the board state, and then getting Narset out to cheat stuff out. Probably winning via Commander damage.
Received Thunder Totem, Mistveil Plains, Gilded Lotus, and Indomitable Archangel in the mail yesterday. Played a round last night, and I really like Thunder Totem. Avoiding board-wipes for me is really important since I use them quite often. The deck is coming along nicely.
I made this using your list as a reference, but obviously went my own direction. Back during the Innistrad-RtR Standard rotation, I had an Esper Walkers list that I absolutely loved. So I tried to make something like that again. Hence, all the planeswalkers. Some of the cards I've chosen might not even be relevant in Commander. I'm not sure. I'm still kind of new to the format. I'm sure this list will evolve once I actually start purchasing cards for it. Unfortunately, that won't happen until I start my new job after the winter break.
I don't want to completely derail this thread with my own list, so I'll probably make my own in the near future.

I figure since my general is a planeswalker, I don't have as much a need for haste.

I think Sword of Fire and Ice would be better than Champion's Helm. So:
