let me first say that I am far from been a good player. I play mostly with friends and FNM, but I take a lot of time to get better. Last saturday, a situation happen and I would like to have the opinion of better players to know how they deal with it.
I was playing pauper tournament and know that 4/8 (50%) players play blue. I know it because we play casual and between friends and before the event, we talk about the game. I dont know exactly what cards are in the decks, but I know that 4-5 players play blue or splash blue.
When I prepare my deck, I know that I must put 4 x pyroblast in my deck. However, do I need to put the 4 of them in my main deck or I should put 1-2-3-4 in my sideboard? I mean, if I put them in my main deck, they will do nothing 50% of the time. However, If I got none In my deck, I face the risk to face a blue deck and have problem to deal with it. Sure, I can sideboard between matches and add 4 to deck, but I risk loosing 0-1. If am unlucky or play not well, I have a chance to loose a match that I could have won more easely if I add the 4 pyroblast from the start....
Hope everything is clear. English is not my primary way to communicate.
I have no experience in modern at all. Dont know anything about it. Last week, a friend of mine bought me some cards for my birthday. I think this is a great start for a deck, but I would like some help to give it a direction. I play casual et FNM level. However, I dont mind to put the extra money to make it real good and fun to play. This is the basic cards that I got.
usually, I am more a casual player but I went to a FNM last night and played against some really good player. However, one rule was played a way that I think is wrong and would like your opinion on this.
I have a Desecration demon on the play. I declare the beggining of my attack phase. Opponent do nothing. 4-5 seconds pass. I declare that my desecration demon will attack my opponent. He then declare that he will sacrifice a creature to tap my attacking desecration demon.
In my point of view, this is wrong play, since he need to sacrifice before I say wich creature will attack. I understand that i didnt annonce the beggining of my attack phase or didnt let the time to respond, I would be wrong. However, the way I played, I think I a right....
Must also say that my opponent knew that he could sacrifice. Its not I didnt know case
Can someone with wall of blood pay more than one life to get more than one +1 +1?
Exemple : pay 10 life to have a 10/12 until the end of the turn.
If yes, is it the same case with mana ability? If it doesnt tap the creature...can you pay more than the minimum to active the ability more than one time?
Could anyone suggest me 2-3 ways to play a 3 players game. I always play the free for all version, but would like to try something else with my friends...thanks
Let say that my opponent is playing red aggro in standard. If I enchant one of his mountain, does that mean that the mountain no longer exist and now its a swamp or the mountain is still a mountain and a swamp?
If I attack with Master of Cruelties and my opponent block with his Boros Reckoner, will he be able to deal the 1 damage to a target creature or player?
Master of Cruelties assign no combat damage this combat....
