The thing is, it isn't a miscut. The back is normal, where the front LOOKS like a miscut. Somehow, the front artwork was printed a quarter inch (or so) below where it should be, while the back artwork is appropriately sized
I work at an LGS, which is currently in the process of overhauling our organization process. Yesterday, we found this (pics below). Unfortunately, the card itself isn't valuable, but this "faux miscut" is a printing error I haven't seen before. Just wanted to get some thoughts on it.
I recently put together 94 swamp Maralen EDH (look it up if you aren't aware. Cheap to build and super troll-y) and have been encountering a problem: With the Beta client, I am unable to view more than 10-15 cards in my hand at a given time. Is there some setting I cant find that can fix this, or is it a bug?
In my experience, VS Selesnya I tend to drop some of the detain effects and load up on the removal. If you can keep them off those tokens, you can do pretty well. My friend went bant with his Selesnya deck, thanks to multiple copy's of cancel and that mass tap-down overload card. Now THAT's a scary deck.
Went 4-1-1 out of 52 people. Azorius was fantastic. While apparently some people didn't feel the detain mechanic was powerful enough, I cant count the number of games that I would go down to 2-5, then stabilize and win. I got lucky and somehow managed to avoid playing any selesnya players save one (who happened to be the guy I pool with).
Man oh man, THAT guild. What's that sound? I think it's 398523498529 centaur tokens about to eat my face.
All said, good night. Both me and the guy I pool with top 8'ed, AND we got paired up first round of top, so we walked out with ~a box in prize support. Foil Jace, Foil Armada Worm, Regular Armada Worm, and ALL the shocklands. Fan-Tastic
Hello everyone! I've recently gotten back into commander and found a fantastic playgroup. We've finally convinced the shop owner to hold chaos EDH tournaments, and I'm looking for ways to improve my deck.
I'm using Zedruu the Greathearted as my commander, mostly due to the crushing restraints the R/W/U color combo has in terms of potental generals. While I do enjoy his ability to turn access lands into card advantage, I'm really not looking to build around his abilities, and have really been considering switching to Numot instead.
Anyway, the deck has essentually turned into a control deck with a handful of combos to allow for a win. I'm definately interested in any other wincons anyone can think of, as well as any cards people think can come out.
Gave this list a run tonight on mtgo (went 2-2). Problems I had:
For a deck that wants to play the long game, Oliva Voldaren is a real threat. Both games I lost tonight I went from a superior board position (20-3 in one case) to death in a matter of turns once Oliva hit the field.
Aaaaaaand that's really about it. Tree of redemption is hilarious against jund, ESPECIALLY if you can hit it with an increasing vengance early on. This deck is fun, but missing something, and I'm not sure what.
That's either a) A ****-tonne of multicolor cards
or
b) Important
Thanks
