Mirran Crusader needs a big mention in the Melira POD matchup, as that's the main reason many are mainboarding it now. It tends to just end the game very quickly against Melira POD.
Good sideboard cards against Scapeshift:
Leyline of Sanctity
Runed Halo (naming Valakut, the molten pinnacle)
Fulminator Mage
Liliana of the Veil
Burrenton Forge-Tender (Protection against red sweepers)
Aven Mindcensor
Tectonic Edge
Good sideboard cards against GR Tron:
Stony Silence
Fulminator Mage
Aven Mindcensor
Tectonic Edge
Ghost Quarter
Burrenton Forge-Tender (Protection against red sweepers)
Pithing Needle or Oblivion Ring against Karn.
Good sideboard cards against Storm:
Rest in Peace
Leyline of Sanctity
Runed Halo (naming Grapeshot)
Liliana of the Veil (reducing their hand is important)
Zealous Persecution (killing goblin swarm)
Also Rule of Law, Ethersworn Canonist etc., but I don't think we need that narrow cards when we have so many other good answers.
Bogles:
Runed Halo (usually naming bogle or the hexporoof elf)
Liliana of the Veil (or other cards with an edict effect)
Mirran Crusader
Zealous Persecution (on the play you can sweep their 1/1 hexproof creature in response to an aura spell)
Enchantment removal like Disenchant or Oblivion Ring

Perhaps this is the thing, with all the fatty-decks in this format now.
Brandon Nelson played it together with Lotleth Trolls, Gravecrawlers, Vengevines, Bloodghasts etc. in a deck that made it to top 64 Pro Tour Return to Ravnica:

Faithless looting can get the Vengevines/Bloodghasts/Gravecrawlers to the field a turn faster though (turn 2)

Most notably, we were crushed by the most popular deck, Jund, who beat us in 68.75% of 32 matches.
It seems our deck needs to change, I'm just not sure how...
Hmm.. Perhaps Arc Trail or Bonfire of the Damned. Pyroclasm or Engineered Explosives could hurt our own creatures too and be a bad topdeck, but could be effective if timed well.
Interesting to see Fengwen Gu play 2 mainboard Bonfire of the Damned together with Serum Visions in his RUG tempo deck that made it to 39th place in Pro Tour Return to Ravnica. I find it very tempting to squeeze them into my UWR Delver deck...
I really like your ideas of a jund vengevine zombie deck! I've been playtesting it and Faithless looting/Vengevine makes for some really nasty turn 2s...
I made a variant where I also bring in some sac engines and blood artists. Faithless looting help you bring out those cards when you really need them, and filter them out when you don't. It seems to work pretty well:
2 Overgrown Tomb
4 Verdant Catacombs
3 Marsh Flats
3 Swamp
2 Woodland Cemetery
4 Blackcleave Cliffs
2 Blood Crypt
1 Forest
Creatures
2 Geralf's messenger
4 Bloodghast
4 Lotleth Troll
4 Vengevine
4 Gravecrawler
2 Blood Artist
1 Plagued Rusalka
4 Diregraf Ghoul
2 Abrupt Decay
3 lightning bolt
2 Blasting Station
3 Inquisition of Kozilek
4 Faithless looting
2 Duress
1 Blood Artist
2 Surgical Extraction
2 Naturalize
1 Abrupt Decay
3 Ancient Grudge
2 Combust
2 Pyroclasm
1 Isolated Chapel
1 Woodland Cemetery
4 Verdant Catacombs
4 Marsh Flats
2 Overgrown Tomb
2 Godless Shrine
4 Swamp
3 Cavern of Souls
Creatures
4 Geralf's messenger
4 Bloodghast
3 Lotleth Troll
4 Tidehollow Sculler
4 Gravecrawler
2 Blood Artist
1 Plagued Rusalka
2 Diregraf Ghoul
3 Abrupt Decay
3 Path to Exile
3 Blasting Station

1 Abrupt Decay
2 Duress
1 Disenchant
1 Blood Artist
2 Surgical Extraction
3 Zealous Persecution
2 Naturalize
1 Path to Exile
22 lands is enough for Bonfire I think. Especially with all the draw cards we have (Serum visions, Remand and Magma Jet can give us the lands we need if we want them, when we have a Bonfire at hand) How is Serum Visions and Magma Jet not good at setting up miracles, you say?
Here's a list:
5 Swamp
4 Blood Crypt
4 Dragonskull Summit
2 Overgrown Tomb
3 Woodland Cemetery
4 Cavern of Souls
creatures (27)
4 Diregraf Ghoul
4 Gravecrawler
4 Lotleth Troll
4 Geralf's Messenger
3 Blood Artist
2 Bloodthrone Vampire
3 Falkenrath Aristocrat
3 Slitherhead
3 Tragic Slip
3 Brimstone Volley
sorceries (5)
2 Bonfire of the Damned
3 Dreadbore
3 Pillar of Flame
3 Duress
2 Deathrite Shaman
2 Knight of Infamy
1 Dreadbore
1 Brimstone Volley
1 Dreadbore
2 Flames of the Firebrand
Do you think it's enough green mana sources to run Lotleth Troll? Is it a good deck?
plus agaist a vast number of playable flyers, like: Lingering Souls, Midnight Haunting, Insectile Aberration, Judge's Familiar, Angel tokens (including the one from Geist of Saint Traft and the ones from Entreat the Angels), Restoration Angel, Angel of Jubilation, Serra Avenger, Drogskol Captain, Dungeon Geist etc.
I feel that this uber powerful Beast is a "one of" in this deck. I've testet a bit with him and he's not that hard to get out turn 4 if you run enough red mana together with Blood Artist. It's not a "winmoar". You can be in a weak position and get it out because of your Blood Artist.
Yeah, you might be right. What would you cut to make more room for tragic slip?
