Knight of the Reliquary has been falling out of favor due to Deathrite Shaman. I think those match-ups are fine as long as removal is used aggressively on them, generally Tarmogoyf is good against those decks due to the exalted creatures.
This is my Junk list, Lingering Souls aren't used because most creature match-ups aren't bad and generally Elspeth, Knight-Errant is better.
The downsides of this deck are against decks with Wrath of God or Oblivion Stone. If Tron becomes popular, Golgari Charm should be considered in the sideboard. Burn may be tricky as well, Leyline of Sanctity or Obstinate Baloth are both good options and help against Jund as well.
Yeah, I think you need to have 1-2 lands and 4 land grant, that way you can go:
land grant for black source, dark ritual, dark ritual, spirit guide, destroy the evidence yourself.
Then go off.
Or something...
it just seems like you cant have 6 lands, and you don't have enough time to hold up counter spells.
Knights don't play well with Deathrite Shaman, and Deathrite Shaman is just a more powerful and useful card in Modern. 4 Smiters and only 2 Liliana's seems wrong, though.
Well here's another Junk list from ptrtr that uses Shaman and KotR
I may be mistaken but cant you not use loxodon smiters ability with your own liliana because it says if a spell or ability a "opponent" controls. Or am i wrong on that
You are correct, your opponent doesn't control liliana so loxodon smiter isn't put into the battlefield.
That version whit Glittering Wish looks very nice, even if is not the fastets of them.
This deck looks like a lot of fun to play. I have to say though, that the only really good targets for Glittering Wish are Gaddok Teeg, Wheel of Sun and Moon, and Maelstrom Pulse. The cost of this play is a large tempo loss and a sideboard loss.
I was very skeptical about Sculler too, but let me tell you, once you play it you'll see yourself how great it is. Most times it causes your opponent to swear cause you picked out his only removal and he can't do anything about it.
Thanks I could try it, what would you recommend cutting for them?
I would strongly suggest Thalia and Tidehollow Sculler. That way, you can get Doran, Goyf and Knight of the Reliquary as your huge beaters, Tidehollow Sculler and Thalia as your disruption, and your removal suit would consist of Liliana, Abrupt Decay and Path to Exile, plus 4-5 1cc discard. Then Confidant for draw, of course.
Sculler is too slow and vulnerable. Liliana is too slow and mana-intensive. If I find I need more discard, I will add more Inquisitions.
I have again edited the decklist:
I added to the sideboard 3 leyline of sanctity against valakut, storm, and jund.
I switched the numbers of thoughtsieze and inquisition.
I moved bojuka bog to the main deck.
Snapcaster Azorius charm is big game.
you can also get him back with the angel, he gets sided out in some match-ups but you can also flash back syncopate.
I really like the combination of syncopate and dissipate, because if you have dissipate, then they aren't going to play around syncopate.
