I really don't understand the love affair with un sets. They are really stupid and I wouldn't waste my money on them.
Just becasue something's not for you doesn't make it bad. I don't play Commander, but there are plenty of people who do. I love humor and satire, and would go nuts if they did Un-3.
I really am flabbergasted by some of Wizards choices. I understand that Core sets are supposed to have reprints, and many reprints are even welcome, but why on Earth would they choose to reprint Battle of Wits? The card was already reprinted in 9th Edition, is selling for under a dollar, and is completely useless for limited as well as competitive constructed. Anyone who wants a Battle of Wits can buy one both cheaply and easily if they want to, and absolutely no one will be excited to open an M13 booster pack containing one.
These are the kinds of reprints that I hate, and there are far too many of these cards in M13 for my liking.
If you read this thread through, you'll see a whole bunch of people just giddy at the chance to play Battle of Wits in Standard.
Jesus Christ. Can't wait to be drafting and open that piece of crap. Wizards, if you want to reprint joke cards like this, why can't you just make them commons? Is it really necessary to waste rare slots like this. So far I've been digging this set but this crap is really pissing me off now.
Edit: Im talking about Battle of Wits, if it wasn't obvious.
You understand that the really crazy jank cards (which happen to be my favorites in any given set) have to be at rare so people don't open one ever two packs. Can you imagine drafting with this at common? That would suck.

He did say reprint in his post
Yeah, but for each of those cards, somebody's thinking the same thing.
Personally, I like all of them. The jankier the better.

That's why they reprinted it.
