It doesn't help you survive. All it will do is eat some of a flames or chump some damage from a loleth troll or at best make him waste his mana on a removal spell. It provides you with no board presence or advantage and might aswell just be a searing spear for all the effect it will have upon the game.

Opponent lost speed. We got an extra turn. Profit!
Very interesting rebound in one or two hits from death, but Supreme Verdict better to have the opportunity to play on the third turn IMHO.

It's a creature so it dies and it dies to all common removal. You are also playing control and it has a relevant global effect that zombies or jund or g/w players will want to kill. And they will have a lot of spare removal to use on it.

Yes, this is argument. But can kill any creature that is no reason not to play there at all.
The main task of the control deck, live up to the moment when the accumulated land will allow it to manage the situation on the table. And every card in the control should correspond to this idea. What makes the Goblin Electromancer in control deck?
First of all, it allows us to get past the level of control the game. We can play our spells on the course before, so we move to the control over the situation. Let our Supreme Verdict kill the goblin, but before we can respond to the threat and save many lives. Suppose that the opponent will kill a goblin, but he will spend mana and slow the pace of the game. In an extreme case we surrender goblin put into the block and also win yourself 2-3-4 life.

If/when I see Goblin Electromancer played, I will laugh at my opponent. I will enunciate the acronym "lol".

    No problem.
If you want to pass for a fool, you act so often.

why? you dont think goblin electromancer is good?

First of all, Goblin Electromancer allows you to play Supreme Verdict in 3 turn and Terminus without miracle (yes, it happens) in turn 5. Also you may draw addition card for Sphinx's Revelation, addition angel from Entreat the Angels and many other options.
    I think so.

It's nice but think about it this way: Would you rather play him or charm/desperate ravings at EoT on turn 2?

I play charm on turn 2 and Goblin Electromancer- Desperate Ravings on turn 3.

I still say that Sphere of the Suns is the card you are searching for. It makes your turn 3 plays much better. Target for Kuldotha Rebirth and gives all colors.

Maybe worth a try 2 Mox Opal?
