To win the game why don't we play Moldervine Cloak? It fits our game plan and gives us inevitability.

ramosian rally seems like just the card for this deck. There could be some awkward draws where you don't have a plains, but that's doubtful

They've already spoiled only two playable slivers (and one that WILL be played) and only a third of the spoiler is out. Why. Wizards. Why.

I think you're going to have a problem including artifacts while still limiting them. Maybe you include the pro-blue swords so that creature decks get a boost in a counterspell heavy format? Aether Vial should definitely be in here for a merfolk deck. I also like Rishadan Port for more versatility and mana denial.

An interesting idea (in a mono blue cube) would be to include cards for a High Tide or Show and Tell deck. Just an idea to float out there.

Seems like a brave idea so far, good luck.

Why not play Raid Bombardment? It's like a mini hellrider and if your opponent has blockers can force through the last damage.

I really like Curfew and it doubles for the possible infect matchup. Then in a blue deck you can counter it on the way back down. Curfew in response to rancor is best.

    Electrickery is also alright.

For card draw have you considered Think Twice?

Not sure what you mean by "aggro". If you're referring to stompy, then I've found putting Magma Spray into my UR post sideboards to help IMMENSELY against their Young Wolf and Safehold Elite (and exiling works now heh).

Otherwise, seems fun. I plan to load this on MODO.

    I'd reconsider.
He tutors Ensnaring Bridge straight away, he fetches Contagion Clasp (Which is a godsend vs Pod as long as you keep Melira off the field)
He's also a potential win-con late game, becauseall your bridges/clasps become 5/5's and just smack 'em.

Also, I tried Jace Beleren but he was AWFUL with Ensnaring Bridge which is the main part of the deck.

If Ensnaring Bridge is what you want to be doing, why bother with Tezzeret? Why don't you just play a Spell Snare or even Supreme Verdict in his spot? I guess it seems to me inefficient to play one card that can fetch one other card (if that even makes sense).

As this is a tapout control deck, it seems like it REALLY wants 2-4 Supreme Verdict for sure as it seems like you can get into a situation with a live Gideon and no way to wrath to stop the onslaught. (other than pyroclasm)

I've been testing this deck for a day. I'm having way too much fun playing it and love the synergies it has. This deck is so sweet. Any new changes or card updates you find would be great.

I've 3-1'd two dailies with a turbofog deck. However, this was at the time when stompy and white weenie were bigger players in the format. I would straight scoop to 8post while stompy and ww couldnt win.

I'm not on my laptop right now but when I get back i'll poat my list.

A potential add I see right off the bat is Respite. 12 fogs is ideal. Another add is brainstorm because it combos with jace's erasure.

It ultimately depends on what you want to do, but here are some things to consider...

Legacy is kind of dried up on MTGO. Lots of daily events don't fire. It may not be to your advantage to play legacy.

Standard is fine and all but it has a high upkeep, especially on MODO (it seems like the format changes every week online). I wouldn't invest in standard unless you have an intent to play a lot.

Those are the things I'd be aware of when delving into constructed.

Furthermore, you can always get into pauper! It's pretty cheap and will net you some fun.

    Good luck

I was running 2 Maps, then decided to see how I liked it with 4. I think that 4 may be too many, and will go down to 3.

I may try running 4 each of the combo pieces. It is just that they are pretty dead once I get one, especially the Stonehorn Dignitary.

Instead of shifting red, what do you think of Excise, Righteous Blow, or Sunlance.

Also, what do you think about Brainstorm, since I am currently running 5 Scry effects and 4 shuffle effects? Would it be better than Sea Gate Oracle?

Reconsidering Deep Analysis, I think that I may put it in simply because I have been running into a fair amount of mono-B discard in my playtesting. It has a nice upside in that matchup, even though I think both cards are pretty equal in most other matchups.

I still disagree with sift. I think that compulsive is a better card just in general. Or Deep analysis is even better for the mana investment.

I think you should run 4 preordain. Brainstorm isn't really as good in pauper (unless you are trying to flip delver) as it is in legacy.

    3 maps sounds fine.

I think journey to nowhere should be your removal spell. It's just good in general and not as specific as these other ones. You should also put prohibits in there as well to counter threats that are hard to deal with.

I think that this deck would get wrecked by the discard in jund (having 4 combo pieces hurts).

I think you need 4xLeyline of Sanctity in the board and 4xSerum Visions 4xSleight of Hand in the main deck.

I like Sift more than Compulsive Research because I would rather pay the 1 extra mana and be able to have a freer choice in my discard. I have found when playing the deck that there are times when I would rather keep my land instead of another card, or two cards in the case of Compulsive Research.

Sift is also better than Deep Analysis on the first casting. Over Deep Analysis' two castings, you get 4 cards for 6 mana and 3 life, whereas Sift gives you ~2.5 for 4 mana.

I understand why you both recommended the other draw spells, but I like Sift. I don't think the choice between these three particular draw spells will make or break the deck, though one is likely more efficient here than the others.

Do you have any other recommendations?

Your list is already fairly committed to the stonehorn/wall flicker combo, so why not go all in on it with a 4 of each?

Or back off on the combo and move towards more red perma removal.

Also 4 maps was always a bit much for me. Maybe 2 or 3 but 4 is too many (though this is largely personal preference)
