Also thinking of playing 1 or 2 copies of wily bandar in place of envoy just to try him out he's got no synergy with the deck but with odric out I can make all my dudes indestructible every combat
So I've been play testing this deck and am really surprised at how well it can do I just want to say that if you get mimic out on turn 2 then play a revolutionary on 3 he can come in as a 5/5 trample and it's pretty awesome I'm working on a sideboard now Def thinking stasis snares and declaration in stones and maybe an extra herons grace I'm not sure yet I'll post it after I do more play testing
Thank you for all your comments and ideas I've fixed the list and made room for main board charms and put together a sideboard. I'm going to run this deck again at fnm and see if I can't 4-0 again any more suggestions are always welcome
Sublime archangel is great especially when I drop her turn 3 following up a smiter then rancor or courage I def think I'm going to run md charms and drop 2 courage into the board lose 1 rancor and 1 forest and go to 23 land and as far as young wolf I'm going to play test some more with him he seems really solid in this build his undying is the reason I put him in I can keep a lot of creatures on the board for sublime
I played this deck at my last fnm and went 4-0 with no sb I think it's got real potential just need to come up with a sb plan and maybe make room main deck for some removal like Oring or selesnya charm any thoughts?
This is a deck I've been playing for awhile with pretty good results but now that gatecrash is out its even better stomping ground makes it so much more consistent and if you haven't played with rampagers yet I highly recommend them titanic growth plus trample that can't be countered whats not to love. Anyways the basic rundown is turn 1 crawler or ghoul turn 2 geist or rancor on crawler or ghoul swing turn 3 mangler swing turn 4 aristocrat swing by this point your opponent should be peeing their pants. That's the basics of course there are other ways to go about it but bottom line is this deck is very fast and very deadly enjoy and let me know what you think
Ive been running a G/B zombie build and I think u should lose the blue and take out the ghoulltrees and the jarads and replace the catacombs with cemetery's and maybe play strangleroot geists and some giant growths also altar's reap might be worth looking into it can give u great card advantage also u need some removal main board like those abrupt decays in your sb also tragic slip would be good
I havnt play tested against ant rakdos decks yet but azorius charm seems good I'm not sure about the pilgrim though and for jund I always side in xtra O rings/detention spheres and that seems to work well feeling of dread is good too also I'm thinking of running rest in peace it will also be good in control match ups
I haven't really played enough with precinct captain yet to really decide where he stands inquisitor will prob come back in and replace him I mean pro VWZ and vig is just too good especially with the recent flood of zombie decks in a lot of local metas and as for stalker I've tried running him main deck and he didn't really work out so well I can't tell you how many times I'd draw him mid to late game and he's done nothing for me he just turns out to be a dead draw he does work well with the theme of the deck but he's very sircumstantial if anything maybe run him as a 2 of in the board
I originally had inquisitors main deck and boarded them to try out precinct captain as far as the champs and the travelers they're def staying champs can become a house in this deck and travelers are good chump blockers and great against lilianna I think I will take your advice and replace fiend huntesr with faiths shields and see how that plays
I was thinking about running Thalia especially for control match ups but I just felt like it would hurt me too much having to pay 4 for o ring and detention sphere and 3 for spectral flight and I feel like Thalia is only really good when your on the play on the draw not so much but she def is worth a try
Thanks for the input guys yes it is an exalted deck but it doesn't rely on it to win usually just getting turn 3 Geist then spectral flight on it will do the trick I'm still play testing my match ups at fnm were round 1 and 2 jund zombies and this deck owns against them I just sided out the 3 fiend hunters for 2 more o rings and another detention sphere and the 2 captains and a traveler for my inquisitors and 1 ajani for a clone in hopes of copying their aristocrat and that strategy worked really well I took both rounds in two round 3 was g/w Aggro and I sided out ajani brought in the 2 clones and sided out the captains for my 2 redirects which actually saved me in game 2 cuz I was able to redirect one of his charms and swung for win next turn got it in two what it boils down to is I was just faster and round 4 was r/w/b control still need more play testing against control I somehow won game one just cuz the guy ran out of steam rather quick lost game 2 and won game 3 cuz he got mana flooded I sided in 3 faiths shield 1 righteous authority and 1 clone overall the deck plays very smoothly and with the growing popularity of zombies this deck should do pretty well for awhile but I still need to play test more
Went 4-0 with this deck at fnm this past Friday thought I'd share it with everyone if you liked the haunted humans builds that were around when innsistrad came out then this deck is for you sublime archangel fills hero's spot quite nicely and although angelic destiny is gone spectral flight on a Geist is almost just as satisfying and with all the exalted going on with sublime and knight of glory who needs honor of the pure
