I'm thinking of getting Karador altered.

    Hey look, 1000 pages.

Have you any artist in your mind? Otherwise, good luck trying to find one that will do it for cheap.

That aforementioned friend of mine had promised to do it for me for a Pepsi, much to my chagrin. I hate it when I can't return the service, it makes me feel I'm indebted to her...

Also, I should be holding a speech in my English lesson Wednesday, any topic will do, and I have no idea what I should be talking about...

Gals: Whats the weirdest alter you have ever done?

I lack any kind of artistic skills, so I don't alter/draw/do anything like that. I prefer to write smut.

Though I've managed to persuade a friend of mine to alter Revised Bayou for me.

If you think that's scary then you haven't seen a pissed Canadian. They tell horror stories about us in WWI.

Russians learned to be afraid of Finns that have been denied of their daily alcohol (economical depression, barely any food in Finland). Winter War was a good proof of that: Russian expected them to win the war within a week. 3 months later, they had to do a compromise and "won enough land to bury the dead".

There used to be a homeless colony in the wooded area near my place. We dont go in there

That is exactly the reason to go there. To scare the living *snip* out of them, to became a legend amongst their children's bed-time stories. All I am afraid is that I'd run into a drunken Finn, because drunken Finn is much more scarier and dangerous.

While you guys were fantasizing about having sex with an Island, I was taking a walk outside and hoping that I'd see some northern lights. Too bad I didn't.

Does anyone else take walks in your neighbourhood/local forest during cold, dark winter nights? I love taking them.

Just wondering, how shall this arch type be categorized when it'll be moved to "Proven"? Eggs(-combo)? Sunrise(-combo)? Cantrip-combo? [insert some wacky but still describing name here]?

I'd just like to notify you that Sphinx of the Chimes' ability is useless in EDH, as you can never activate it (because of the singleton rule, you can never have 2 different cards with the same name in your hand besides basics, and the Chimes forces you to discard 2 nonland cards...)

Keep that kind of nonsense to yourself. If people hear you, they may get some silly notion that the ban list should reflect competitive play.

Or maybe they get silly ideas to split the format to competitive and casual. And have this to apply ALL formats, not just EDH. Casual Legacy ban list, casual Vintage ban list...

I'm pretty sure no one wants to turn this thread into "Jivan's romantic storytime".

Still much more interesting than most of my ramblings about stuff like how I've made first impressions to my neighbours naked or something else as un-interesting as that.

On another topic, I got an invitation to my friends baptism in Easter night, as she decided to join the (Evangelical Lutheran) church. I've never been in a church service during night, but I guess it will be quite interesting to see, even though I'm not religious at all.

    EDIT:

I tried studying Japanese, but it was too blurry and I switched to Russian.

I've planned to start studying japanese autumn. (I have some knowledge about the grammar and so, but not much.)
What do you mean by "blurry"? As much as I know about the language and its grammar, it seems quite logical and... interesting.

You mean like "I before E except when I say so"?

Not exactly. Each noun has different case for the different personal pronoun (the word house is different if it's "my house" or "your house"), then there are plurals, nominatives, genetives, different cases for questions, different cases for "places" (same as above for things like "to house" compared to for example "from house")... It just a big horrible mess.

...And I haven't even mentioned the verbs. (Anyone who has studied japanese knows how terrible verbs can be.)

It's really bad when they're college students that butcher the written language. I may suck at spelling sometimes, but I know how to right-click the red squiggly lines.

Thank god I'm not the only one using it. I'm not alone, there are apparently others who suck in English besides me.

Fun fact: Finnish has 2253 different cases for nouns, while english has two (or three?)... Good luck trying to learn them all, when some of them are unique for each word.

not many, sadly. it is a unique language. maybe German because it has an anglo-saxon root, same with English? i may be wrong there.

I'm not really sure, but I doubt that applies to German (that ghost = fish -thing. And yes, I know what you are referring to.) since German is actually quite different from english compared to other languages like swedish or dutch(?).

I live in 'Murica. We don't learn ourselves other languages, they learn ours.

And even you guys seem to have trouble with it.

At times I have trouble telling if the people is native english speaker or not because of the grammatic errors and typos. It is so bad that it just can't be written by anyone who has studied the language.

Also, after 11½ years studying english, I still have the feeling I haven't learned anything and that my english really sucks.

Though I've studied swedish (another obligatory language besides english for me) for over 8 years, and I have this feeling that "I can do this" while I really can't speak it much at all.
