As a little lesser known option that's rather quick Godo, Bandit Warlord, just stuff the deck full of rocks and a few equipment. Personally i like Grafted Exoskeleton.
It doesn't make you truly unkillable because FotD wont resent poison like it does your life total although it certainly does make it harder. Thanks
True, but it works because unlife doesn't kick in until your life is zero, meaning without double strike you can't be killed through combat unless they burn you for 5 first.
5c eye of the storm with nothing under 3 cmc that isn't an instant or sorcery (primarily burn spells) and the 3cmc cascade spells. Since eye recasts each time you get another cascade trigger. It'll never be super competitive because
A. It relies on an expensive enchantment and the cmc restriction prevents a lot of the common cards in competitive decks (mostly fast mana)
And
B. At any point during the process an opponent can cast an instant and steal your win.
Firemind's Foresight is an all instant speed combo win, with the easiest kill to fetch being lightning bolt, reset , and reiterate. Then cat reset and reiterate it over and over with buyback for infinite mana, then cast bolt and infinitely reiterate it.
For what its worth if you're in red anyway, Purphoros plus assemble the Legion kills faster than Form of the Dragon. So long as you keep your devotion to red low he works under the humility/dovescape lock. Phyrexian unlife plus form makes you nigh unkillable as well.
And mistveil plains is the best recursion piece since it can still be played and used after you're epic.
Price may be issue but that how it is. Magic is hobby and every hobby has its price like it or not. At our country we say little money, little music which essentially means the more money you put into something the better it (usually) is and Magic is no exception. If you want to play better decks (not always the case) you will have to be willing to put more money into it otherwise you are forced to make cheaper but less competitive deck and accept the fact that your deck is not the most competitive or suitable to its price (again not always the case). Lastly Magic is business and Wizards get money for it. Thus it's more important for them to earn as much money as they can even though this will effect player's base which will be smaller. Tarmogoyf is a nice example. It's very expensive card but his price won't drop as long as there are people who are willing to pay its price or there is no demand for him. In that case Wizards don't care for those who can't afford him.
I don't really think modern is better the more money you put in. case in point affinity, merfolk, and burn are all top performers yet are 1/3 the price of other tier 1 decks. Wizards also doesn't care about the secondary card market because they don't make money from it. What they do care about is the number of people playing because that sells packs. Again Wizards only makes more money by printing packs. I don't even think the issue is the price of the most expensive tier decks like junk, jund, twin, and grixis. It is the issue that the cheaper tier 1 decks just aren't cheap enough. Again, though I would stress WotC is taking steps to address this so is a minor issue. Overall though the format is healthy from a gameplay perspective. All the archetypes of combo, control, and aggro with the various subsets are represented and viable. I know that in the chicago and milwaukee area modern is more and more popular.
Engine combo is the missing archetype. 2-card combo decks are a very different thing. Personally I still like that modern exists and it's a fun format to watch but i quit playing after they started banning engine combos into oblivion. That plus the terribly lopsided matches that often come down to lose game 1, hope to draw my SB'd hate cards early games 2 and 3 which cause my opponent to scoop upon resolution just equals a format i personally don't want to play anymore. It's still fun to watch occasionally as the power level isn't as low as standard but as a combo player when there's no reason to play combo over burn it's a bit upsetting.
So after taking another look through my binder I noticed with infinite mana tasigur allows you to draw your deck and infinitely recast any card from it. Which got me to brewing. I'm thinking a heavy control deck with a combo finish.
Mostly if not completely creatureless.
Just wondering about the most efficient ways to make infinite mana in these colors.
Ideas?
any deck that can includes Black and Green for all the to hand tutors, Wincon being assembling all the pieces of EXODIA then dropping them in off Eureka

I'm inclined to believe not, due to not having a type, but wanted clarification if possible.
Thanks in advance.
