Am I to believe that an Angel of Serenity (a 7 drop mediocre reanimation target) is going to have the SAME value as a Hallowed Fountain? 15 bucks each? Sorry, not going to happen. Not now, not ever.
6 bucks for a Sphinx's Revelation? The value will tank by at least 50% as most of the spells of it's nature (post-Stroke).
In 3 months, say January 1st, it will be interesting to see how much you overpaid.
LOL more like its interesting to see how much profit I made. Serenity went up to $25 and I sold them there. Revelation is now $18 to $20.
I'm for sure playing this deck during the Dragon's Maze PTQ Season and at GP Portland. I would play it at San Diego but I have a PTQ in my city the same weekend so I'm just going to save that travel money for GP LV and Oakland.
Anyone else test the list Prosak made top 8 with? That deck is amazing. I played it and the only change I made was drop a Unsummon for a Revelations. I made top 8 with it at my first standard event since rotation. I lost 2-1 to Mono Black control but really that is our worst matchup. Decks just destroys GW creature decks and midrange three color durdle decks.
I'm playing UW Draw Go. The only "expensive" cards in the deck are 4 snaps and 3 geist in the board and the 4 fountains. Its one of the cheapest standard decks and puts in work in this format. I plan to play it until gatecrash and grind out as much value in prizes with it as I can.
The Deck can deal out a lot of damage really quickly without having to overextend or burn too many cards. A lot of three color decks can stumble on land drops or be off color and a deck like this can take advantage of those turns. Going T1 Pilgrim, T2 Smither and T3 Silverblade and/or Rancor is always fun
Scrubs gonna scrub and look for reasons like the price of cards for why they scrub. I know lots of people with very valuable collections that have little money to spend on magic. They just know how to trade and grow their collection over the years and now they can play any deck in standard for close to free by simply trading.
You can play magic fairly cheaply if you do a few things.
1. Buy stuff when its cheap, know what to buy and when.
2. Do well and reinvest your prices into your binder by buying singles if you can.
3. Know how to trade and you can grow the value of your binder by $100 at one FNM.
I'm thinking of playing Bant Midrange because it has a great Aggro Matchup and blue allows you to play Negate and D-sphere to answer UWR's Walkers, Sweepers and Entreats.
I'm working on a Bant Control List. I feel it is one of the best decks in this new format. You just get so much card advantage and value from Jace to all your creatures.
Looks like a bunch of entitled Weaboos to me. The reason the show has not been green-lit to air for US broadcast is because it appeals to a very small niche audience. There is almost no market for Anime on US brodcasts today as it is, yet alone for a niche genre such as a card game based show.
