    here's my list:
I know it doesn't focus on Liquimetal Coating to blow up everything, but it rather acts more like targeted removal. Planeswalkers/Titan/Avengers for wincons, and tons of draw power.

Otherwise, if they counter your coating you just lose and that's no good.

I like this list, I play Imperial Painter in legacy and even with 4 Imperial recruiter 4 magma jet and 2 sensei's divining top's to find the Painter's servant you still find yourself not having it ~ there has to be a way to win without the combo specially in a format where you don't have guaranteed ways of finding the main piece..

Also this list play's like a control deck and if it doesn't draw its liquimetal coating it isn't SOL, the few copy's of artifact/enchantment removal will probably still come in handy with how this post SoM format will end up being like.

No one said this is better then reanimation yet. In fact some of the posters admit it probably isn't.

Likewise though name a reanimation target that will win the game on the same turn.

Iona does a lot of the time and it doesn't require 2 other cards in the GY.

Resolving two spells is too many cards to work? I wonder how those Legacy Reanimator decks ever worked then, or any deck for that matter...
Also, that is a steep bet against a deck which has a potential turn 1 kill and often a turn 2 kill which it can back up with counterspells:

Opening hand for Turn 1 kill:
    Underground Sea/Fetchland
    Dark Ritual
    Dark Ritual
    Reanimate
    Buried Alive
    Force of Will/Daze
    [Random blue card]

Hell, this is a deck that could potentially win on its first turn against DOUBLE Force of Will by the Opponent, if the counterspell is a Daze and the [Random blue card] above isn't blue, but actually a second reanimate (assuming the opponent is dumb enough not to counter Buried Alive, but Reanimate). Not a bet I would make.

Reanimater works because it can use Entomb which is 1cc while buried alive is 3cc, it doesn't need dark ritual so it has more good cards in general, the creatures can do things by themselves so you can use careful study and other discard outlets well, this combo should stay in survival.

You might want to learn how the stack works before proclaiming the combo doesn't work, never mind the fact it (the combo) has already been explain twice in this thread.

As for the combo itself this is probably the shell that should be the basis of a pure combo attempt.

    4 Personal Tutor
    4 Burning Wish
    4 Dark Ritual
    4 Thoughseize
    4 Ponder
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Sensei's Divining Top
    4 Force of Will
    3 Daze/Duress
    2+ Buried Alive
    1 Intuition
    1+ Reanimate
    1+ Exhume

Redundancy is not an issue, speed might be. There are also interesting sideboard options to consider, like 2 Doomsday, Emrakul, Shelldock Isle, Needle/Talisma of Vitality package for when your opponent boards in grave hate in game 2.

I've briefly considered a Survival shell but Retainers/Iona seems like a game win already and that's just two pieces.

Retainer/Iona doesn't always instantly win.. this is a nice back up plan ~ + necrotic ooze is just plain good solid in survival.

The UW Control I have been running looks pretty good post Rotation. I lose 4 path and a few things in the board, but the rest is all there!

This build turns me on, how well does it work in tournaments?

You would play time reversal when you have quite a few less cards than the opponent, after a board sweeper, or when you have a worse board position but have semblance anvil out on say artifacts, and NEVER if you have board advantage since it could give them answers (DoJ etc)

No CoW + Zuran's orb to?... in all honesty though this deck really won't go anywhere, I've tried the whole infinite life fastbond thing and it just doesn't work, now.. if Grow-A-Tog with Gush + Fastbond ever comes back... /mouth waters

Instead of Buried Alive, you could Dredge everything you need into your graveyard and Dread Return it to play. Then your graveyard is full of activated abilities to copy and you could just pick whatever ones you want. I'm not sure if this will be any faster than Bridge From Below though.

Cephalid breakfast is basically this but with counter protection and hand disruption

4cc Is still played in legacy it just has to fit with the power creep/ improve the game state like JTMS, vengevine, Elspeth, ***, humility, that green planeswalker, fact or fiction, etc-anyways though... CEPHALID BREAKFAST shell is the way to go with this since it can double as a combo price if the kor or illusionist gets removed

Counterspells are bad with lion's eye diamond, horrible, use hand disruption or chants. This combo could possibly work in a cephalid breakfast shell (cephalid illusionist + nomad's en-kor)

Also please realize legacy isn't a combo winter format(even vintage is swaying to away from combo) it's filled with control decks and aggro as well, and necrotic ooze fails to lightning bolt, chain lightning, lightning helix, and swords to plowshares which are all widely played. Hell even snuff out and other black removal is sometimes played.

The fact that they make no money directly wouldn't really keep anyone from suing the company for reneging on their pledge, which they publicly made, and misleading customers. Losses for wizards wouldn't be too high with getting sued, if any, since only a few would dare such a thing, but they'd most likely lose many of their collector fans, or the vintage player base. Add that to the fact that it'd be bad PR for wizards by announcing something as only available for some time and then never again... And making a new edition of it a few years late, and you'll know why the reserved list items are likely to never be reprinted again. Also, the negative from wizards to add ANY more cards to said list states they know they screwed up badly by creating it in first place, but must abide to their previous public statements.

Add to all this that the USA are pretty much the paradise for legal lawsuits and well, I'm totally sure several people would decide to sue wizards because their black lotus isn't worth $2k anymore.

On a separate note, I actually couldn't care less about the reserved list being done away with (It would actually help me find many older cards), since I refuse to spend so much money on a card as most proper collectors do, and I collect only because the collection looks pretty, not because it's worth loads. Also, I started playing recently, so the reserved list affects me little if at all.
However, on a more particular point, it is likely cards on the reserve list will end up banned from older formats, anyway. There's only so much time the P9 can stay playable (while being played), since everyday the amount of them in the market is lower and lower, and this will eventually happen to pretty much every card on the reserved list. So there'll come a point where said cards will either have to be reprint, or become nonexistent (Probably the later).

Just because something isn't on the reserved list means they are going to reprint it, for example Force of will/Mana drain, saying that they would loose the vintage player base if they removed the reserved list is dumb.. They wouldn't be reprinting power library's etc the biggest thing that NEEDS.. really.. really NEEDS to be reprinted are the dual lands so the price of legacy could drop somewhat, and you know what the original dual prices wouldn't even go down to much.. only the new dual's with there weird borders would be somewhat cheaper.

And btw if they were reprinted the demand would be high so the over all price would still stay high as long as they weren't reprinted in absurd amounts mainly because there isn't that many dual lands left to go around.
