Could see this being a thing in standard if a go wide white deck is viable.

Its kind of crazy that a standard format has a card like angel of invention seeing no play.

Everyone does realize these have to be in your hand to cycle right?

I would rather have the horizon canopy cycle printed.

If you are going to develop a card that flickers any permanent you should probably make sure there is no way to copy it infinitely. Cat that bounces non planewalker perminants would be fine, instead the format is warped by a mistake.

You can also check mtgolibrary to find bots that have them.

Is there anything better than shimmering grotto for the last land slot? God I hope so!

They always spoil all the good stuff first. The chaff will show up at the end.

Warping wail is good against merfolk and burn I have found. Seems to be two match ups you are having issues with.

Also i would find room for a few ratchet bomb in the side board, it can help with spreading seas and blood moons. When playing against those type of decks the best thing to do is just lower your curve after game one. Take out all the over the top stuff and turn into a midrange deck.


I would reevaluate the 4 Karns a nd Ugin. If you wanna play that much top end you are better off playing g/x tron. Eldrazi Tron is more about being a fast midrange deck that can take advantage of the all the extra mana. It makes hitting tron less important.

Which card is it?

joined a draft and there were duplicates of cards in packs. I ended up with a pack that had two dismembers in it.

By the time the draft was over I had 2 Elspeth Sun's Champion in my deck and had past 2 others.

I had multiples of a lot of cards. I filed for reimbursement.

They want to reprint Damnation, they are just not going to do it in a set where the "no regeneration clause" is irrelevant.

A black Day of Judgment would be good then.

Except, that is not what people are asking for, they specifically need Damnation because its "Can't be regenerated" clause is relevant in certain formats (such as Modern). If any black Mass Removal spell could do, there wouldn't be an issue as we get those often.

I don't play a lot of modern but I do not see a lot of regeneration going on. Is it just the elf deck it would be relevant against or is there something else big I am missing? I see Thrun played occasionally too I guess.

I quit going to my shop recently for two reasons. The player base had become unbearable. I was getting sick of playing against swore losers that went on tilt everytime they lost or had bad luck. It was getting to the point that going wasn't fun. There was a small group of players I liked everyone else was 30-40 year old man boys.

The second reason which was the straw that broke the camel's back; I showed up for a eldritch moon draft and my pod mysteriously had no tamiyo packs.. Of the 8 players in my pod no non flip mythics were pulled. Pretty easy to put two and two together and figure out where all the emrakuls in the case came from.

I am going back to mtgo for now. I might try another store eventually.
