Would Fog (or similar effects, such as Blunt the Assault or Clinging Mists be good in the sideboard as a 1- or 2-of? I feel like there are a lot more aggro decks popping up, and these cards could help stall a little until you hit mana for Wurmcoil Engine or Oblivion Stone. Or, should I just be thinking about more sweepers and life gain effects?
How about combining this combo deck with another one? Similar to the Thopter Depths deck in Extended a few years ago, if you put two combos in the deck, your opponents' resources will be strained. They will have trouble sideboarding, and you can select which combo you want to win with in any given matchup.
I'm going to try something like this at my next Modern tournament:
Lands that come into play tapped are bad, and I want to avoid them unless they do something really good. There is so much colour fixing available that I don't really need the Vivid lands to fix my mana. I'm much better off taking a basic land that I can tap for mana right away.
Fair enough... and now that you mention it, I almost always have charge counters left on the Vivid lands at the end of a game anyway. So, it seems like I hardly need them for the fixing.
I just revamped my multiplayer Riku EDH deck, and I would love everyone's opinions on it. This is not for a super competitive playgroup, so I don't want to just combo everyone out really fast (although I do love Palinchron's interactions in the deck...). It is for a more casual atmosphere where there isn't much land destruction (hence the Ravnica bouncelands), and obviously I have a few pet cards in there (Hello Unexpected Results!) that may or may not do anything, but are plenty of fun. I've also noticed that a lot of the lists people post in here do not have the Vivid lands in their manabases; I'm curious why that is so. I'll replace them with other lands if your reasoning makes sense. Budget is not really an issue for me, so feel free to suggest whatever card you think makes sense in here.
I'm missing Wooded Foothills in here because it is in another deck, and I never proxy. I'm working on buying or trading for another one, which would be an obvious inclusion.
What do you guys purpose to deal with sowing salts?
I've heard that is a reason why Ghost Quarter has popped up in the maindeck lately: Ghost Quarter your land in response to fizzle the Sowing Salt. Something else I have been thinking about that could fight Sowing Salt is Riftsweeper. What does everyone think of that?

Let me know what you think!

That actually looks pretty good. Why not 4 Deceiver Exarch and 2 Pestermite though? It is better against stray Lightning Bolts and stuff.
