Best options Gaddock Teeg: Creates a lot of disruption to some of their counterspells and big finishers. Your opponent often needs to focus resources to keeping it off the battlefield; good find off of Green Sun Zenith Voice of Resurgence: Similiar to Teeg that if you don't quickly deal with it, you feed to much board advantage over to you; good find off of Green Sun Zenith Knight of the Reliquary: Probably one of the best T2 plays if you have an elf out. I like the snipe non-basic with a Wasteland -> Immediately follow up with a Cavern next turn Thalia, Guardian of Thraben: A mostly one sided card that adds pressure to countering every threat you put out Council's Judgment: Way to get around Hexproof creatures, great removal regardless
Other options Prowling Serpopard: Solid stick, with Uncouterable abilities Selfless Spirit: Good evasion 2 drop that can protect a board or a creature in a pinch. Can also create unfavorable blocking decisions for your opponent
Edgar needs to go. He's been warping the ***** out of the Cockatrice meta; even through Wraths he can reset and continue to bash on. He puts pretty much every deck, even aggro, on T4-T5 clocks if you find a few of your combo pieces and he has access to Tutors to search for them. Not much interaction when yhe is creating value without being on the field. Derevi and Oloro were banned for the same reasoning: creating advantages without being cast / warping Commander taxes.
I'm not one to normally to advocate early bans, but this is one of those times.
This is good news. Haven't played Edric, Zur, Derevi in awhile
It's funny because that is the exact meta we will be in if they just reset the banlist.
Doh, my bad, should have put a '/sarcasm' tag
Some of the older French players will remember, but literally Zur, Edric, Derevi and Oloro dominated the metagame for years (much less so for the Commander 15' gens). These generals are TOXIC to the meta and I don't mean that lightly. They are overpowered, not fun to play against and have certain matchups that are unwinnable. That being said, I am all for a 'free-4-all' test and let them fight it out. My guess is that Zur, Oloro, Derevi would still be Top 3 contenders.
However, I am excited about the prospect of Marath back. I missed her :3 Also, Tasigur being back is interesting too; of all the generals currently banned in French, he was one of the few I thought needed more time to settle out.
What Asimov said is 100% truth. Vial is definitely getting the axe, there is no doubt in my mind. Breya is also incredibly strong in the meta at the moment and needs to be looked at. She literally is the new Marath: THE Swiss army-knife of generals, in 4 colors.
I would give the same advice to newer players: if you're building some of these new Partner and 4 color generals, be prepared they might get banned..
I know that mono R burn (and also W/R too) has come back into the meta; has anyone tried testing Zo-Zu The Punisher again? I feel like that deck might chew up control and combo decks more so than say a Zurgo or the RR Grenzo. You would disrupt decks like Titania and Maelstrom while still having some favorable matchups against U control in general.
Thoughts? If anyone wants to build it with me, PM me
EDIT: Also, surprised that Radha isn't being talked about more. That deck is nuts and is super consistent with hitting T3 4-drops and putting on huge amounts of pressure...
So what are people's thought's on Anvil of Bogardan? I haven't tested it yet, but after going through a lot of the playable cards, this may look the best?

+1, Blue does not need a 'soft' buff
So glaringly obvious Generals allowed (cough Olloro, Marath, Breya). Guess we get to be patient while they re-ban things

I'm out of the meta.. Doesn't feel as fun as it use to be..
