Rabiah (The plane Arabian Nights was on is named Rabiah) maybe? Im not an expert on Arabian mythology, but maybe a return to Rabiah based on said mythologies like how Theros is?
Other then that, though, I could probably get into any crazy idea for magic's future.
My family knows and does not mind it, save for my father who sometimes plays and my stopmother who was actually the one who got me addicted in the first place.
I dont have any interest in romantic relationships, so I dont think that will be an issue.
Some coworkers know about it but for the most part its irrelevant.
My friends know about it, and dont really care, except for the one that plays.
Honestly, one of the biggest things I love about magic is how it can have so many interesting settings at once. But I do agree that it could use a lighter block (But I guess I should wait and see how Theros plays out).
A return to a more typical generic fantasy appeals much more to me than I thought it would though..
EDIT: For a block or core set anyway.
Tempest Owl would be mine. I started around Zendikar, I already knew how to play by then but I didnt really own cards. Anyway, I got a booster pack so I could start being serious about Magic, and it's the first card I remember seeing.
I've got a theory. I'm on board with Conspiracy being some sort of variant format, but..
Anyway, this 'Conspiracy', in addition to being a new format, is probably going to reprint some old cards that never got to be in the new frame yet, of course.
But they're going to be really good stuff, to reduce the prices of said cards, and making Vintage/Legacy/Commander slightly more accessible, making sure everybody gets to hear about it by hyping it up like Commander, but there will only be one of each Conspiracy deck per card shop, excluding stores like
Walmart and Target so they don't upset the 'Collectors'. Bigger stores like Star City would get like, three of each or something.
Well, first I start crying and screaming. Then I tear everything I can find and push the tables around until I get kicked out.
Seriously, I tend not to say much about it, since where I go everybody just finds something else to do right away. I do get alittle disappointing when there is nothing I could've done to win.
Im also going the extra mile to get stuff like Commander, conspiracy, fnm promos, etc.
Although five is definately enough. This is really the kind of thing that would need moderation, imo.
