Interesting thought... Flavor wise there are no eldrazi in white. So maybe it's eldrazi 5th color, as I don't see the zendikar people using it. I also maybe over simplifying it.
I am playing an all in tokens version of this deck. 2-1 last night lost to a mardu midrange but I feel I did not get the best draws.
Here is my list its a work in progress.
So I make a draft able box of every set that I collect. I would like to do the same with conspiracy. What I am looking for is a list of cards that fill the conspiracy slot in the pack. If there is a list somewhere that would be great. Thanks for any help.
It's not the card I wanted. But I have a deck this may work in.... If I don't get the card I want this will suffice. Then again maybe a hidden strings agent of the fates and ral zerek deck could come together. Will it be tier 1 playable? Not so sure.
So at my lgs fnm the people in first and second on the last match always draw. So they can get first and second. For the purposes of getting the promo card. Is this legal at fnm?
Well then I am mildly upset. The roll was reversed And they said my creature would not deal damage to the intimidating creature. Well better I know for next time. And my creature died...
So I am not sure of the cards, but basicly. What happens if a creature being blocked by a different creature is then granted intimidate? so for instance I have a 2/2 attacking blue creature. they declare a red 2/1 creature to block. After blocking but before damage I give my creature intimidate? what happens?
Well Black got Duskmantle Seer, now Read the Bones and Rescue from the Underworld. There's quite a bit of risk involved with either as they have counter-points and generally set you back in an attempt to get forward.
Regarding red and its chaos, we have Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded and Guild Feud. Generally they are not playable but nonetheless there's a portion of the chaos.
While I agree that the game has been dumped down quite a bit and most of the old extreme cards have been smoothed out, there's still some element of what you seek, but often in very weak forms as people have a hard time handling them and apparently WotC doesn't care to attempt to balance them while keeping up the competitive playability.
For that matter I don't even know if half of the cards you mentioned were playable in their respective metagames.
Nope. All durational effects that lasts "until end of turn" or "this turn" simply stop working at the "Clean-up Step". Sundial of the Infinite can "only" mess with abilities that says at the beginning of the next End Step. It can mess with other abilities and spells during the turn, but the "end step"-abilities are often the more interesting.
For instance you can bend over Aetherling if you throw a removal in its face on your turn and its owner blinks it and you enter your end step and activate Sundial before Aetherling manages to come back, effectively exiling it.
>Untap Step (no interaction = no instants/abilities. Some abilities trigger though, but will first be resolved in the Upkeep Step)
>Upkeep Step (interaction allowed after "At beginning of upkeep"-triggers have been applied to the stack in whatever order, starting with the player whose turn it is, thus his effects comes last in resolving)
>Draw Phase (Interaction allowed after the player draws his card(s))
---
>First Main Phase
---
>Beginning of Combat ("At beginning of Combat"-abilities triggers, interaction allowed, nothing else happens. Purely for the sake of "last chance" to blast creatures with "when ~ attacks something triggers" and of course the "beginning of combat"-abilities)
>Declare Attackers (Declare attackers, interaction allowed after declaring)
>Declare Blockers (Declare blockers, interaction allowed after declaring)
>Damage Step (First-strike damage is applied and whatever abilities may trigger from combat damage - interaction is not allowed unless something triggers and goes on the stack. Then normal combat damage is applied and follows the same rules as first-strike damage)
>End of Combat step. (same as "Beginning of Combat", interaction allowed)
---
>Second Main Phase
---
>End of turn step (this is where all "at the beginning of your end step"-effects triggers and is also the last possible chance to cast instants/activate abilities)
>Clean-up Step (this is where damage on creatures are lost, "until end of turn"-effects go away, interaction is not allowed. If there's something that triggers (aka ancient cards), you will put those triggers on the stack and interaction is allowed. Once the stack is empty you take another Cleanup Step.
>You shift turn.
Ok Trait Dr is lame. oh well. Any way I am still happy with the set.
No the encoding-portion on a creature is not target (and can thus aim shroud and protection) but Hidden Strings is just straight out better than Trait Doct for enabling Heroic.
Also considering that Trait Doct is extremely narrow on which cards it can hit (I think - not sure about the limits of it).
Well thats too bad. One last question about Trait Dr. can you in conjunction with sundialbof the infinate make land permanently a different color?
The enchantment (Chained to the Rocks) will fall off when the land is no longer a mountain. I had a similar thought when I spotted it but it just doesn't work. If you want ETB-effects I'd rather go Black for Rescue from the Underworld or Triad of Fates.
Also, I think Trait needs a proper target and fizzles unless the target has a color-word on it. Thus it's not very effective in triggering Heroic unlike Hidden Strings.
@Beware: I was making a point that some rares have been deliberately been created as junk and there's no reason to it. Those in limited just makes the possibility of skewed power-level that much more. No sane person would look at Trait Doctoring and exclaim it to be an interesting design.
I think you have missed what trait doctoring can do. If I am not mistaken, in a u w deck you could triat doctor a land, make it a mountain, and chain to rocks a creature with out splashing red? while triggering heroic on a creature.. I dunno that seems interesting. What really makes me wonder is will the enchantment fall off at the end of turn... and if it does can I use it to abuse an EBT trigger? Seems interesting anyway? To be clear it probably wont be anything competitive but would be fun at a kitchen table... And I am probably slightly insane.
Here is my list its a work in progress.

Does the encoding target?
