Hey all, i am new to this forum but am a keen mtg player. I would like to know if anyone knows how to download or has a link for the magic the gathering computer game?
Thanks what does MWS entail? Can i play it offline as i am not often on the net.
I found out that the game i am looking for is called Shandalar. It is an offline game. Does anyone know where i can get it from?

Sorry about the double posting. I have found the necessary and i downloaded in 2 parts from this site : Microprose MTG Mok's Manalink 2.0 Version.part1.rar
(92.77 MB) and Microprose MTG Mok's Manalink 2.0 Version.part2.rar
(91.76 MB). I then decompressed using winrar. I have 2 folders one called Microprose MTG Mok's Manalink 2.0 Version and the other called MTG DOTP 3.0. I look into these files and there is alot of files with decks and cards but i cant seem to find a .exe file to start the game. What else do i need to do? PLease help. Thanks.
Thanks - it seems that the download file is corrupt..As when i download and win rar it it gives a slight errror even though it unzips the entire file. I am not sure if there is a way around it or if anyone else has had the same problem. Also i need to find out if this illegal in downloading? Not sure as i surely aint no computer guru...
If you didn't pay for Shandalar, yes its illegal to download. Please don't discuss illegal activities here at MTGS.
The game itself was made by Microprose, which has since gone out of business. I'm pretty sure noone else would have picked up the rights before then, so I don't see how it's not abandonware (i.e. legally free to download).
In fact, it was abandoned at least 4 years ago according to this thread.
I stand corrected after some research I found that Hasbro recently bought the rights from Atari, before they where taken over. Now I'm going to go have a little talk to some people who need it...
Unfortunately, being so called "abandonware" does not make a piece of software free to distribute, people just think it does. It is still copyright of somebody. The only exception is if the copyright holder "releases" the software.
So, no, don't talk about downloading it here. Providing support for the game itself is fine - but not support for downloading.
oh ok sorry guys i didnt know about it... in that case does anyone know where i can buy shandalar the game and if there are any other magic the gathering games that are not online games?
Sorry i don't play mtgo. However you can download MWS.(magic work station).
Thanks To KrackShott
