Wasn't there already a plane with dinosaurs on it? Kind of like khanar was Tarkir or something?
Muraganda, I thought. Too lazy to google.
Muraganda is correct. And yes, Ixalan appears to be the replacement for Muraganda.
More than one plane can have dinosaurs. Muraganda was Stone Age World, which is wildly different from Mesoamerican Pirates World.
It's possible, but unlikely I think. If they were going to do Muraganda. I think they would have done Muraganda. I'm skeptical that Muraganda could be exciting enough with dinosaurs having already been a thing. The addition of ice age megafauna plus cavemen stuff maybe could sell it, but that could still be in Ixalan, we don't know yet.

I mean, I'm kind of skeptical that Muraganda is enough for a full block, but now that we can have one-offs, I could see Muraganda coming in a little while in order to give the people who liked the Ixalan dinos more dinosaur tribal.

Indeed, Dominaria had dinosaurs up until at least Urza's Saga ( Shivan Raptor ), and they have appeared in Tarkir as well ( Deathmist Raptor )
As for the topic at hand, I can honestly say that I am very curious about this product. It could be a fun new multiplayer format, and I am all about that.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
It looks like it's possible to play this game with your own deck as well, reminds me of that episode in YuGiOh where you course through a maze with your creatures, that kind of feeling.
Let me guess, the value will be tied up in 4 planeswalkers and like the upcoming Archenemy Nicol Bolas they won't spoil the cards until about 2 minutes before it is released. $65 is pushing it for a beginners board game tied to the cards. I hope it turns out to be good but again I'm not holding my breath.

I guess this is a mix of the "trial decks" from theros and titles, like carcasone.
Just imagining it:
One of the decks is the creatures and treasure deck. Whenever u end doing something in the title u go to another one, the titles have chalenges like "A wild bulbasaur apeared" that u must complete ( destroy the monster and retrieve the artifact ( pay [5] ) to end the chalenge). With also a set of rules and counters for mark the player's gang...
Lightning Helix was on the table and Quicksilver Amulet too. Looks like this will be a decently well valued set. It'll tank the value of Shared Animosity/ Quicksilver and a few others though I imagine.
This actually looks like a lot of fun, as opposed to Planechase, which had so many high-power effects that actual noncreature spells were barely unnecessary. Also, Shared Animosity is a super needed reprint. Twenty bucks for a card that only sees casual play is ridiculous.
There's some fairly decent reprints in this set (caught a glimpse of Blatant Thievery, as well), and gameplay seems very Settlers of Catan-esque but rather interesting in terms of how Magic meshes with it. This looks good.

Yeah, it seems very reminiscent of Settlers of Catan, to the point where it's obvious that Wizards designed the game to target that audience. Still, looks original enough to not be a blatant ripoff.
The few reprints we see are decent enough already, but outside of the reprint discussion this actually looks like a board game worthy of this price, compared to Archenemy Bolas.
