very nice graveyard theme use for the pharaoh. The green guy is def beast in EDH, though, idk about standard, but it does allow you to green sun him easily
Pharoah is going to be fascinating with Innistrad's graveyard theme coming up. It might be a headache for creature-light control builds with finisher creatures too, but we'll see.
As for the Hydra, man, they're just not going to give up until they make a satisfactory mythic hydra in the core set, are they? Love the art!
Primordial Hydra looks like it could be really powerful if it's on the board for a few turns. If it didn't gain trample, it wouldn't seem even close to mythic. Looks like a pretty good beatstick.
The Veneful Pharaoh looks pretty interesting, and coming back from the graveyard is nice. Can get an opponent's creature off the board each turn, if they attacking, and it could get pretty hectic with more that one.
I love the pharaoh a lot. Definitely finding a place in at least one of my black EDH decks. As for the hydra, eh. They keep pushing this creature type but it never seems to be worth the mana put into it.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.

I am a super secret foreign spy.
I can't tell you guys which country- that would ruin everything about my job.
Also that photo may or may not be me.
Trust me guys. I know lots of spy things.
I even said I am a spy so obviously I am a spy.
How is a big trampler good for Commander? Being big and really nothing else isn't nearly powerful enough for EDH. I mean, yeah, it's big, but it's not really different than something like Protean Hydra and is worse than, say, Apocalypse Hydra. WOTC sure loves printing nearly unplayablemythichydras. Wouldn't surprise me if this guy got the Protean treatment and was demoted to rare. Pharaoh is worse than No Mercy and is just a big dude - since he only goes to the top of the library, he can actually stop you from drawing what you need, and you need 2BBB to play him anyway, which limits him to mono black. I wouldn't play either. However, they both look nuts in Limited.
Oh, and don't get me wrong, I love the flavor and design of the pharaoh. It just isn't good.
Arsenal, how is the Pharaoh remotely playable in Dredge? All he does is create a useless 5-mana roadblock, and there are much, much better Dread Return targets. Not to mention he'll actually remove the Dredge player's Bridge(s) From Below if he destroys an opponent's creature. Graveyard interactions =/= Dredge.
EDIT: Well, I guess if they side in Leyline of the Void then he's good because he's No Mercy and a recurring beater. But still seems less powerful than just normal Dredge.

As for the Pharaoh, I'm enjoying interesting abilities. Another hint that the next block is Graveyard based.
