So, formatted it can look like this:
Pilgrim's Eye 3
Artifact Creature- Thopter
Flying
When Pilgrim's Eye enters the battlefield, you may search your library for a basic land card and put it into your hand.
1/1
Smaller flying Borderland Ranger for any color? Not bad at all.

It's Borderland Ranger, for ANY color and trading a 2/2 dork for a 1/1 flier.
It's also an Artifact. I'm sure there's a million ways to abuse this.
Very very good.
I was thinking the same thing, it becomes a 1/1 flier instead of a 2/2 (and if you're using this instead of Civic Wayfinder in other formats, the thopter's a thopter instead of an elf.) I think it's pretty good.
Well, it's not bad, but it's not terribly exciting either. Won't replace Wood Elves or Borderland Ranger anytime soon in Green decks that want this effect, putting the land into play or having 2 power seems substantially better than this.
But hey, goes in any deck, I suppose.
What I'm really curious is how the art is going to look. It's a levitating eye? Slash thopter? Maybe the eye thing is just a metaphor, as in "eye in the sky" for news helicopter?
It's Wanderer's Twig attached to Zephyr Sprite. That's fine for Limited. People are playing Explorer's Map now in Zendikar draft, and while it's obviously better for fetching special lands, sometimes it's used just to find the color for a splash.
Not every card needs to be a Standard-breaker. Some cards merely need to be excellent in Limited.
Anybody knocking this card plays green too often, this is pretty good mana fixing for its cost in the other colors though R and W probaly don't need it.
In standard it being a 1/1 is super relevant. Farhaven Elf wasn't played when Civic Wayfinder was in standard even though it had a better ability. A 1/1 just isn't big enough.

I think think of MUCH better 3 mana plays. like divination for a chance to draw a basic land and somthing else. And divination sucks.
When else would you play 3 for a 1/1 flyer with a sub-par ability

Yeah, because there's no Thopter Foundry in Standard, right ?
Being a 1/1 flier doesn't hurt either.

It's a common! Hooray for limited! Picture coming later today, as I forgot to ask for it yesterday! :B

its not a bad card...Borderland ranger sees play and this is just the colorless flying version of him.
Personally, I'm happy when they make good commons for limited instead of busted-in-half rares for constructed.
