Do you have details on the new ooze & tribal cards? I'd really like to see some proof since those details aren't in the short article on that page you gave us.
And a new Un-Set, really?!?! Unless I see some official/semi-official proof, one big, large, over-stuffed speculation.
I wonder if a pre-release tournament can happen for an Un-Set. Imagine the wackiness for that. And would anyone actually want more than a few packs of a an Un-Set? It's Pretty much for drafting and casual decks. I hope there's another version of Cheatyface in it.

You missed the point. It's still possible to release a new Un-set, but as a 5th set in a year. That way, that's more like a bonus release, and you don't have to lose a time slot which was intended for a tourney-legal set.
And I have nothing to say against Un-set prereleases. It already happened before, so why not try it again?
Every time a new dual land set is rumoured, everyone gets all excited "I hope they're uncommon", "they better be uncommon!" "If they're not uncommon they're going to ruin the game!" etc etc etc yadda yadda yadda.
And out of ALL the GOOD dual land sets... when is the last time one was uncommon?
Closest thing to a decent nonrare dual lately were the TS storage lands and the Rav karoos.
In short, when will you learn that if you keep hoping for something stupidly unlikely, you're just gonna end up heartbroken.

the triple lands of shards are the best uncommon "dual" lands i can think of.
I wonder why won't be 50% new cards on M11. Anyway, is good to know duals will be rare and not mythic.
I like the fact that it might not be 50% for M11. If it wasn't the core would have more than 50% turnover (new reprints + new cards) every year. That's all lot to keep up with. This also gives a hint that some of these new cards will be "new staples."
Oh, and speaking of staples, when they first explained the mythic rarity, the said staples (i.e. dual lands) would never be mythics. Being rare indicates that we won't be getting CIPT junk; good for us. Also, they will have another reason for boxes and cases to be sold; good for them.
I think the fact that it would be silly to mess up rotation due to an un-set aligns quite nicely with the statement that they have already been working on the next un-set without any officialy announced road plan... It would make sense that they would treat it as a side project that doesn't interfere with the staple sets.
And LOL at the thought of a mythic rare land... Wonder how long Wizards would be in business if they printed something like this:
CASH LAND
basic land - plains island swamp mountain forest (M)
Strangespawn Ooze's power is equal to its toughness.
*/2
I've posted this in a different thread (under the name Strangeling Ooze). I like it, it's meant for Giant Growth, Might of Oaks, etc. But do the rules work out? I don't really know.:ugh:

What would you attempt... if you knew you could not fail?
Well, they do want to make Core Set drafts more interesting, so it could matter there.
I'm pretty sure that this is why.
It's an effect that is extremely necessary for limited play (as was seen with Master's Edition 2 on MTGO which lacked this crucial piece of functionality).
Of course, there are dozens of options, and Unsummon will already be in the Standard format... so I'm not sure what caused them to choose *this* version of the effect when other, more interesting options are available. Personally, I miss Mark of Eviction lockdowns...

If you have questions about MTGO PM me, I'm all up ons, as it were.
Check out my articles on http://puremtgo.com/ I'm the nerd you see there... wait, not that one. Nope, not that one either... yeah. That one.
Which is what any sane perosn would have realized the second they said this. Keeping X amount of cards brand new is ridiculous. They are only giving the core set it's own UNIQUE set of cards, to make it more valuable. ("Oh, I want to get a Silence, the only way to get that is to buy M10+")
Other than that, I'm sure the "reprints" will rotate in and out via the past core sets, but obviously the playability has gone up. (no more crap rares like Larceny, Noble Purpose, Abyssal Horror, etc... Or at least, not as much)
I was hoping the new dual lands are uncommon rarity...
And that would happen... why? I think you were fooling yourself from the beginning.
Anywho, thanks for the link, I was hoping they'd spoil something a little more interesting than "Oh, we are reprinting Unsummon". Really..?
And Blaze? Damnit. Give us Disintegrate or Fireball at least.
I can't wait to draft these core sets. I think I like everything about them, from the frequency that they come out now, to the new logo, to the fact that there are new cards making them more relevant.
Big fan of the changes. I have been wracking my brain trying to figure how they are going to make the new Dual lands powerful enough to be played, but not involving pain in the equation... Really curious to see how they tackled that.

I'm so thrilled that wizards has cut back on the number new cards by repeatedly printing existing cards. thank god unsummon is standard legal times two. Hell, times three until october. I can't wait for cancel to be as well.
how about instead of a traditional Un-3, we see some Un-inspired Duel Decks? Chicken vs. Eggs? Donkeyfolk vs. Elephantmen?
I am glad everyone enjoyed the interview and the idea of "Un"-based duel decks is fantastic. Much less R&D time needed and would seemingly sell well enough to kitchen table crowd who, I presume, is already the main market for the existing Duel Decks.
I still strongly suspect that Un-3 will be Unplugged, and Online-only, allowing it to do all kinds of freaky stuff. Which would make it not even remotely interfere with the physical releases. Possibly coming out after the older set conversions catch up, or when there's a long lull in them...

You have to be "plugged in" to play with Unplugged? Oh the Irony...
Personally I think it's weird that Unsummon is in, but I guess they are sticking to their "no need to reinvent the wheel" policy when it comes to limited.
Sure, stuff like Snapping Drake and Goblin Piker are for limited. But Null isn't even playable against a 5 year old whose hand consists of a 6 of Clubs, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Chimney Imp, and a very large cumquat.
Strangespawn Ooze's power is equal to its toughness.

It works, but it is almost the same as printing a 2/2.
The only room in the rules for this to be theoretically different is if it copied the toughness of another creature but not that creature's abilities (or was allowed to keep its own abilities).
I don't think there is a copy effect that copies something except for its abilities.

Unsummon is in, with the new artwork.
Gravedigger and Blaze are mentioned, with strong hints that they're in too.
Also M11 will have new cards, but may not be 50%.
M10 dual lands likely in M11 as well, and they are rare.
An awsome new Ooze, a few new tribal cards.
The 3rd Un-Set could still be coming, just thrown out on top of everything else that came out. Some work has been done already.
And 3rd Un-Set. Will there be the Spike card?

The clan for custom card creators!
