so is this deck dead now, can it survive with only 1 gifts ungiven.
I've been having luck with just one gifts, one fact or fiction and 4 merchant scroll. I scroll for gifts, ancestral or fact or fiction and it does very well still. i generally didn't have to cast more than one gifts anyway. i did have to change my own list pretty drastically though. i've added a third bounce spell to combat all of the leylines i've been running into, dropped mana drains for duress and i now maindeck leyline. the turn 0 leyline wins vs ichorid in game one and leyline + fow + duress deals with hulk flash. the extra bounce also helps to win via "mini storms" when you have enough artifacts in play but your graveyard has been removed from leyline. i'm still doing a lot of testing to find the optimal list, but i think the deck is simply too powerful to be considered dead due to the restriction of gifts.
PS, I really like the idea of a gush in the deck. I was really wanting to run Infernal Contract but since I'm not currently running 4 rituals, I couldn't support it. Maybe gush is the way to go instead, especially since it costs 0 mana.

True story...
Next time you post popular opinions, please word them in such a way that they're not infractable. Someone may be widely thought to be the dullest tool in the shed, but you can't publicly call him that, which as a mod I can neither confirm nor deny that I fervently believe he's a tool.
That's ICBM's empty-gush list. It's pretty solid and has a significant number of t8s recently.
I want to find a way to fit a second misD in there, but it's just too tight a list.
I think if you wanted to fit another misdirection in, the easiest things to come out would be one of the "blasts" or the Fire/Ice. It is a REALLY tight list tho.
The fire//ice is usually underwhelming and pitched to a MisD or FoW, but I have used it to tap a DSC and then topdeck a YawgWin...
I think I agree most with the blast sentiment - they're there for redundancy and a great gifts pile - Fow/pblast/reb/misd; but otherwise faily lackluster. though, against the mirror/GAT they nuke togs and melokus all day...more testing is in order. I really do not want to run it as a 61st card so something will have to go...
