The question I would ask is, What turn do you usually combo and how consistently?
Until then I will reserve my judgement, I don't have a ton of experience with Rector Trix of any type. Though I get the basic ins and outs of the deck.

how is this any better than the "poorly named" Rectal Agony deck?
yes you win with teh whole donate illusions gig, i understand that.
however that requires at least one other turn.
with the rectal agony lists, (which, i might add, are obsolete) you win the turn you rector out bargain via the omnipresent Tendrils of Agony.
Since I have little experience with Rectal Agony, I can tell you why this deck is good. First of all, with a Bargain on the table, you can Donate the turn you drop the Illusions. Given a broken start(a common occurence in this deck) you can Rector on the first turn, and Donate on the second. that is basically the only time when you'll have to donate a turn after you rector. It has one of the best draw engines in the game, Illusions+Bargain. In addition to that, it has every good tutor in the game, a future sight, and a necro to seal the deal.

Well, it's pretty consistent to Rector for an Illusions(or bargain, which is the same as far as the clock is concerned) on turn 2. That is fairly consistent, given the decks draw. It usually goes something like this: Therapy for [insert card], flash it back, saccing Rector for Illusions, donate. Obviously mana is involved in there, but you get the idea. Um....about turn 3 is when you should be winning.
Heh, he meands Rector Tendrils... which is freaking crazy.
Is the Illusions win more consistent though? It is worth it to pack Disenchant to shoot down the Illusions if you're playing combo?
I like the idea though.... seems more consistent then Rector-Tendrils. That extra 20 life also looks to help against Storm-based combo and Workshop decks, since their Workshops are useless to combat the Cumulative Upkeep.
I can also see this deck viable in this field of little control... I imagine this deck can be eaten alive by control.

It doesn't roll over and die to Trinisphere like most Tendrils based decks do. It's not a walk in the park trying to combo underneath a 3Sphere, but since you're not trying to play 9 spells that all cost 3 mana, plus one that costs 4 in order to win, it's a bit easier.

Actually, it doesn't do so bad. In particular, the 3 Carpets come in post SB and those are amazing. Cabal Therapy and Force of Will also help out.
