Oath is not bad at all in a powered meta, I don't know who said that. Mana Drain isn't usually run in Oath though. People play Negate and Mana Leak over it because keeping UU while casting Oath is too difficult.
tarmos and doran are some cheap heavy hitters. Main decked sacraments, krosan grips and duress should punish alot of the tier one decks. Needs some edits and a side board.
Long time no seen mtgsal, I've been busy with exams but have a month or so before heavy work starts up again. I have seen that GW Beats is doing quite well lately. Some list are powered with moxen, blue splash and recall+walk but there are alot of competive GW list that is easily budget with the only valuable cards being Tarmogoyf (can easily do some changes to the decklist to fit Jotun Grunt here instead), Savannah and Fetches. This could very easy be a very competive -$300 deck in no-proxy tournaments.

Tournament Reports Unofficial NM Vintage - Erik Luo (2nd)
I sat a long time and was wondering which deck I should play. On the one hand, I had Tezzeret - without power, and nothing worth mentioning. Rather, an extended deck, plus Tinker. Last time I made top 4, but I strongly doubted whether I could do the same. And I would not top 4 I played to win Moxen and then I had to have something different. Moreover, "knew" people that I came to play Tezzeret and by providing information to the opponent - as is already under.
In retrospective, I do not know how I managed to beat Ola, with Tezzeret, Time Vault, Voltaic Key, Manadrain, Force Field and all of his $ 30 + card (previous tournament). I knew it would not happen this time, and if I met John [OLA... How do you translate Ola to John, google?], which was very likely, assumed that we had around 16 players (we were 14), so I had to almost entirely scoop. And yes, he had 4 Force also. I could not play Mana Less Ichorid, because I lacked the Bazaar of Baghdad (and everything else really), and I would not play back Standard-Legal 5-Color Control in Vintage (Tezzeret would have been better). And when the re were only a deck, one of the very, very best from Vintage, which had dominated for long periods of, precisely, Tezzeret was printed:
Budget Ad Nauseam Storm.
Instant - 18
3 Ad Nauseam
1 Brain Storm
4 Cabal Ritual
1 Chain of Vapor
4 Dark Ritual
1 Demonic Consultation
1 echoing Truth
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Repeal
1 Vampiric Tutor
Sorcery - 15
2 Cabal Therapy
1 Demonic Tutor
4 duress
1 Merchant Scroll
1 Ponder
3 Tendrils of Agony
2 Thoughtseize
1 Yawgmoth's Will
Artifact - 12
4 Chrome Mox
1 Engineered Explosives
1 Lotus Petal
1 Mana Crypt
1 Mana Vault
1 Pithing Needle
2 Sensei's Divining Top
1 Sol Ring
Country - 15
1 Bloodstained Mire
3 Flooded Strand
1 Iceland
4 Polluted Delta
1 Steam Vents
3 Swamp
2 Watery Grave
Except that this is the budget then. Fair NOK[ENOUGH], it was the Mind's Desire Storm that dominated, but this was what I had available.
Win-con:
3 Ad Nauseam,
3 Tendrils of Agony.
The only expensive cards in decker, these 6 A resolve AN tend usually to win. Really always, but I'll explain it in a moment. A "trick" that is usable, is that you play AN, find out Tendrils, running Tendrils, but you do not have NOK to kill your opponent. So you play AN # 2 - rinse and repeat. Manacosten to ALL decker is 68 Let's say I play the Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, and Ad Nauseam. And it is 1 duress in the yard. Decker has as a mana cost of 60 Potentially I can draw around at least 15 cards. Then I played NOK spells to kill your opponent with Tendrils. Of course, my first matchup flipped my card # 1 Ad Nauseam, card # 2 Tendrils of Agony. More on that later.
Tutor package:
1 Brainstorm,
1 Demonic Consultation,
1 Mystical Tutor,
1 Vampiric Tutor,
1 Demonic Tutor,
1 Merchant Scroll,
1 Ponder,
1 Yawgmoth's Will.
2 Sensei's Divining Top
10 cards that almost guarantees to find AN or Tendrils. (16 / 60) * 7 = ca. 1.87. At least one of these I should in theory have in every opening hand. After Mulligan was 1.6, still very good numbers. But random shuffle ensured that these numbers are not kept, of course. Would of course have Ancestral Recall ($ 395) and the Imperial Seal ($ 140, not bad really, in terms of rarities, but Vampiric Tutor is instant and cost me $ 6, so ...). Incidentally, Merchant Scroll was a big disappointment, because I did not have Ancestral Recall, I could only tutor for Brainstorm (not precisely NOK to find combo-piece) or Mystical Tutor (who is a card disadvantage).
Mana acceleration:
4 Cabal Ritual
4 Dark Ritual
4 Chrome Mox
1 Lotus Petal
1 Mana Crypt
1 Mana Vault
1 Sol Ring
Standard Pack of 8 Rituals, 4 Moxen and 4 others. Black Lotus, Mox Sapphire and Jet have been replaced with 3 countries.
Other / the rest:
1 Chain of Vapor
1 echoing Truth
1 Repeal
2 Cabal Therapy
4 duress
2 Thoughtseize
1 Engineered Explosives
1 Pithing Needle
Chain of Vapor is extremely good, considering manacosten that U. echoing Truth and Repeal is there as fill, since I did not have NOK Vapors. 8 duress effects, since they protect comboen min, without the kill me if I flips them with AN. They are better than the Pact of Negation and Force of Will had killed me. Explosives and Needle are here because there was not space in sideboardet.
Country:
1 Bloodstained Mire
3 Flooded Strand
1 Iceland
4 Polluted Delta
1 Steam Vents
3 Swamp
2 Watery Grave
8 Fetchland and 7 countries that I could take. I did not expect I will play the late game with the Storm, but it came to pass the course anyway. 1 Island 3 Swamp and the Wasteland. And 2 Watery Grave if I absolutely needed U and B. Steam Vents disappointed big.
But I play not red spells? My love of Tezzy destroyed me almost. Take a look at my sideboardet.
1 Academy Ruins
3 Blood Moon
1 Cabal Therapy
1 Ensnaring Bridge
1 Fact or Fiction
1 Gifts Ungiven
1 Inkwell Leviathan
1 Riptide Laboratory
1 Sundering Titan
1 Tezzeret the Seeker
1 Tinker
1 Trinket Mage
1 Vendilion Clique
When my opponent sided in the anti-storm card, I just changed to Tezzerator, respect to crush him with raw card advantage. Of course, there was almost no one had anti-storm, and I might as well have dropped "techet" mine who lost more than it won.
Round 1: Myklebust, Andreas (U / W Control)
Game 1: I get a fairly slow start with a hand consisting of Ad Nauseam and no mana acceleration. In what I'm about to go off turn 5, he released a Isochron scepter, Imprinter Rune Snag, and a Rule of Law. He pulls of his finishere, and I will not take the chance that he gets the rather because I have seen much of his hand with a duress two to three rounds before. I know he has a counter spell on hand, so I have to try to force an Ad Nauseam through his counter magic as soon as possible. I prefer a Chain of Vapor and plays it in his EOT and targeter Rule of Law without having to think.
Mistake.
He has a Rune Snag in Yarden that allows me to pay 4 mana, which I have not. I do Chain of Vapor on top of the Rule of Law and explains that he can sacrifice a country to bounce one of my things. It looks as if he forgets that he has counter and let it resolve, and bouncer Chrome Moxen min. The reason he chose not countre was that he thought I would bounce 1 / 1 beater one of his sighted-Caste Sorcerer. I told him that I chose the Rule of Law'en, because I let Chain of Vapor on top of his Enchantment. When it's my turn I play Ad Nauseam and win.
Game 2: The only thing he gets out is a 1 / 1 Exalted, which is NOK to win. I hurry to play Ad Nauseam on my trip, after which I know he did not have counters on the palm (drained, or so I played a duress, and I would not risk that he topdecker). The first 2 cards are Ad Nauseam and Tendrils of Agony.
- 9 life.
I must continue to draw and draw much better over time, including: Yawgmoth's Will (which I do not remember, had it not been for that Jarle reminded me of it after the round was finished - more on that shortly), a bunch of countries, NOK Rituals to kill him, can strip his hand with 3-4 duress effects. But I lack Chrome Mox. I have 6 lives left and flips the last card does. Another duress / Dark Ritual. 5 life again. Then I quit, in case I pinball Ad Nauseam.
By looking at the last card I ruined my tie-break my shoulder. In fact, it was good that I destroyed the tie-break my shoulder, after which I had two relatively easy match up in the top 8 and top 4
I have 5 lives again. I have Mana Crypt out, even if I take 3 in the damage from it, and being beaten by 1 / 1 'one of his I still have 1 life left to play untappe Rituals, YawgWill and Tendrils for the win. But, please wait ... 1 / 1 ... Exalted?!
He beats me for 2 And in my upkeep, I am unlucky enough to be killed by my own Crypt.
Game 3: Alternative 1 duress, turn 2 duress, turn 3 or 4, Rituals, Rituals, Ad Nauseam. Draws nearly 20 cards. Then you win.
2.1
1-0
My opponent seemed that I was lucky to win against him, because he drew badly. I could not answer him, saying, "we'll see." He complained that he drew poorly, which is true, because I saw his hand, but that's why you have something called Mulligan.
Jarle, which topped 4, so on my game, as he had finished and noticed a gigantic mistake I did. Instead of looking at the last card, I could be allowed, the next round, I could untappa, take 3 + 2 in damage and still be able to go by, since I had Rituals ... I mean, just forget mana that I drew. I drew "YawgWin" and with a little patience to the 2 best card in the Magic won for me (the best in my opinion is Ancestral Recall). And yes, I believe that Yawgmoth's Will is the 2 best card in Magic. Are you forced it out, you win. It's that simple.
Round 2: Krukhaug, Thor (Mono-Black pox)
Game 1: I win the dice roll and the duress he was. Again. And again. And again great NOK. None of us has something special with hands again, and both are in the top deck mod. Once both are in the top deck mod as winner Storm, if you're not playing against the blue / counterspells. I can draw what I want, except country (because I had more in hand), and win. I do not remember what I drew, but fairly Demonic Tutor and a Ritual. Found Ad Nauseam with Demonic and won.
Game 2: He begins and I have an extremely strong hand, with approx. Chrome Mox, duress, Dark Ritual, Ad Nauseam, Tendrils of Agony, Yawgmoth's Will, and another card. Ok, maybe not as good as described, but the point is that if he has a duress and takes Moxen, I've lost. If he follows up with one and takes Rituals, can I just scoop. I prefer 6 new and this time it is even worse. No country or MOX. 1 Dark Ritual and 1 Sensei's Diving Top is the only thing I can play if I topdecker Swamp. If I topdecker Swamp. On average I have 30% chance to topdecke Swamp or Mox. Topdecke Swamp! It sounds far too error out.
Has also an Ad Nauseam on hand.
Thor starts with a Swamp, Dark Ritual, duress, Thoughtseize and takes Sensei's Divining Top and Dark Ritual. He notes that I do not have mana and takes one in the burn. I conceder not, because I know what this decker is capable of. I topdecker ... Vampiric Tutor, and round 2 I use the draw-go. He can not seem Tomb Talk holder's, but in return he gets out Mishra's Factory that eventually gives me 4 to 8 in damage, can not remember entirely, but closer to 4 than 8 I prefer more as tours go, including the Dark Ritual.
So I pulled Chrome Mox. Very nice for me, because I EOT plays Vampiric Tutor, fetch Dark Ritual. On my trip, and not EOT, for if I get beaten again, I get drawn 2 to 4 less, I play Ritual, Ritual, Ad Nauseam and win.
2-0
2-0
Round 3: Taushanis, Zenon (Mono-Blue Control)
Game 1: I am very sure that I have baiter out all the counter late in his early duress and see that he has spent 2 Force of Will already. The cards, which I showed him that indicated not that I played the Storm (or anything, because there was only duress effects), although he said "I saw you play round 2, I do not know what or how you won, in a second had only a Chrome Mox out in the game, and when I looked out in the next, so you would have won. "
I see that he is tapped out, for some reason, so I reckon that the coast is clear and play Ad Nauseam. He had Force # 3 and kill me with manlands.
This is where "techet" my will, I transforms Storm to Tezzerator. All sideboard cards come in with the exception of 3 Blood Moon and 1 Cabal Therapy. Those leaving the decker is:
- 3 Ad Nauseam
- 3 Tendrils of Agony
- 4 Cabal Ritual
- 1 Demonic Consultation
Game 2: I duress and baiter all the time, see that he has used up 3 Force'er and is pretty sure he does not have the 4 as it is about. 40 cards left of his decker. I play Tinker, and find the Inkwell. 7 / 11. Island Walk. Shroud. Manlandsene his is not fast NOK and I'll kill him.
Game 3: I have a lot of countries on hand and are considering sending them back to see 6 new. But it will be extremely difficult for me to enforce my spells. I keeper and he starts to walk 2 Stand Still. Funny. Fantastic NOK. He drew not manlands, I drew more countries. Finally we sat and floppy, because we both knew that whoever moved first would lose. Finally I could not help myself. Because, first, unless I would finally lose when he pulled one of his 10 manlands, and secondly, I had 3.4 duress effects on hand. I play a duress and see 3 Counter Spell and 2 Mana Leak. And not anything important. I strip away 3.4 of counter game his arm and then it was stop. With 5 laps in total, he could not kill me, and I could not play around counter his wall. He did not know I had sided out my Storm card and I had no intention of letting him know that either.
1-1-1
2-0-1
Round 4: Raugstad, Oddvar (Merfolk / Fish)
Game 1: I will soon put under pressure by his animals, which means that I can not use Ad Nauseam, because I did not have NOK life and because I did not have NOK duress to withdraw his force.
Pages in and out as in Round 3
Game 2: Will come under pressure again to the animals his plus Mon countries. Forces Tinker and find the Inkwell. He has too many animals and I are not close to winning.
0-2
2-1-1
Round 5: The primary axis, Jarle (Painter)
I thought he played the Fish and then I would lose again and lose cuten to top 8 It turned out that Earl also had 2-1-1. So we drawer us into the top 8 both.
1.1
2-1-2
Top 8, Round 6: Taushanis, Zenon (Mono-Blue Control)
Game 1: I duress him and sees countries and 3-4 creature removal, in the form of that he steals my animals. He does nothing worth mentioning, before I duress him and win with Ad Nauseam.
Game 2: Again, flooder he and I play Ad Nauseam. He hopes that I flips over an Inkwell, but I know it can not happen.
A little strange, because as he pulled the unlikely bad. Was very surprised that I won 2-0 pretty easily - since I missed almost the swiss rounds, had it not been for hours. Round 6 took a long time, but in the end there was not much he could do.
2-0
3-1-2
Top 4, Round 7: Krukhaug, Thor (Mono-Black pox)
Game 1: I played in the swiss, won 2-0, and knew his decker fairly well. As long as he did not eat of my life, so did his decker nothing against me. Sant NOK, he discard your hand and wait until he pulls Manlands or Tomb Stalker and win. If he discard my hand, I need only one more card to win. I do it frequently and turn his game 1
Game 2: He keeper and I keeper a rather poor hand, but I have YawgWIN. Before the game begins, he plays out Leyline of the Void. And Will'en mine is useless. I do not know what to do, but I know I just need to topdecke so I win. Do not know if I would call it topdecke really, since every time I draw, I have a 50% chance to draw the card I want or that I prefer a tutor.
I prefer not anything special, but plays a Pithing Needle through the Swamp. I would mention the Wasteland, but since I had only fetch and basics on hand, I said Mishra's Factory. We play draw-go, pox, duress-discard, and then I can go by. He topdecker Hymn to Tourach. At this point I have 4 cards:
Ad Nauseam,
Yawgmoth's Will,
Echoing Truth,
Dark Ritual.
Since it is random, I hoped that there would be YawgWill and Truth were females. YawgWill was picked, as did Ad Nauseum. But that Ad Nauseam were picked did not so much since I only had a Mox, a Swamp, and Ritual on hand that could give 4 mana. Of course I topdecker Dark Ritual. None of us doing something special, having drawn many cards. When he finally plays out Tomb Stalker I know I have a 2 round the clock on me. I have 11 lives, but know that 2 turn from the demon and a smallpox will kill me. Meanwhile topdecker my second Tendrils. Swamp min had disappeared, and I had only Moxen again. 3 Dark Ritual, I had on hand, but it gives a total of 7 mana. 1 mana IFRA to play my Tendrils times 2, which will steal 18 life for me ... Not that he had so much life, but a Tendrils would have stolen 8 life from him and he had 12 I prefer short. Nothing. He strikes me down to 6 life, and I know that I die if I do not prefer country or mana accel. Still nothing. So I buy my time by running the Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, duress, Tendrils of Agony and drainer 8 lives. He strikes me down to 7 I prefer Polluted Delta and fetch a Swamp (ftw!). Dark Ritual and Tendrils kill him right and I've assured me at least a PROMO DCI FOIL Cryptic Command, 6 Conflux boostere, an overly heavy keychain (!) And a bunch of promo cards that were donated by Judge Erik Hagen.
After the fight, he shows me 2 Factory's that were in his opening hand.
2-0
4-1-2
Final, Round 8: Skinstad, Erik D. (Oath of Druids)
This match-up is 50/50. Both are combo decker, and his is as fast as mine (even if I could win Tour 1 in round 1 game 3, I let be the case, I failed as I did in game 2). Here from one of his animals would kill the effectiveness of Ad Nauseam and I would not have a chance to win. At matchuppen is 50/50 it means I have to play extremely carefully and think through everything. Something that is bad for me since I am not very technical viewpoint. Fair NOK that I have reached the final of the Unofficial Norway Championship Vintage 09, but that's because decker is so insanely powerful. Storm is a broken ability - Mind's Desire was restricted in Vintage before release! Sick.
Game 1: I'm trying to psyche him out by saying "I won 2-0 against you previous tournament, did not I?"
"With this decker as you play now?"
"No ..."
We laughed a little and tried to relax, even though we both knew that there was a Mox that was at stake.
I looked at my hand and see that I can enforce the Ad Nauseam through a counter spell and win the Tour 3 I start with a Swamp, so duress, actually remember quite well what I saw of his hand, even though I was pretty nervous and focused only on the moments we played (that I could not stand to think about whether I should write the report about this). I saw:
Force of Will
Regrowth
Oath of Druids
Negate
Wastleland
1 fetch
1 Watery Grave
Is it possible? If I take the Oath, he gets it back again, no matter what I do, he takes it back again. Force and Negate is the only thing that can stop the Ad Nauseam. But I can only take one of those. I take Negate can I run the risk that he pulls blue on 2 tours. I take Force, he continued Negate. But if I take the Oath, he must use his turn 2 to bring it up again, so I can postpone it, steal a ride from him and maybe play around the counter of his late and win?
I took the Oath. He played fetch. I have to play draw-go turn 2, but what topdecket I? A new duress. I play it to take the regrowth, but he finds the Breeding Pool, Brainstorm, Force of Will. He plays Watery Grave untappet and regrowth. I'm betting that he does not have force, but turn 3, I did nothing special. His turn 3, he plays the Oath, and give me a token by Forbidden Orchard. Tour 4 is extremely complicated, as I remember I played Ad Nauseam, draws much useless, playing Yawmoth's Will, is trying to build up the Storm-counter, but has too little Rituals. Finally, I see that I have 2 Tendrils, but only 7 mana. I play Engineered Explosives for 2 to destroy the Oath. But when do I burn and has built up a Storm-count that I was going to use? I look at his life, and we are both on 20
I have 7 of the storm and playing Tendrils and steal 16 life to buy me time. "Tendrils of 16?" I felt that moxen slip.
"It is NOK it," he replied, and scoop. I looked at my sheet and saw that he had 20, but of course, since he had a fancy iPhone so he kept count, and he had 15 lives, 1 in damages from the fetch and the 4 damage, which was crucial, from the Ravnica dual. Had he had the Tropical Island and Underground Sea, he had won.
I do not think it had some impact, but in the middle of game 1, a person began to fumble with the cards to Erik D. (not decker, but the other decken / cards he had with him), and he asked the person to stop, but he continued anyway, so Erik D. had to physically remove the cards to get the rest to concentrate. No need to mention names here.
Game 2: I boarder to Tezzeret and is crushed. I was not close again. He plays Sol Ring, and Chalice of the Void for one. Stops all that I have on hand and all I prefer.
While we both shuffle he offers to share the prize. None of us will lose half moxen and I agree. We play the last round of ratings.
Game 3: I should have switched back to Storm, because Tezzeret not working at all. I can not stop him, and my card works not before late game. And it is not when you play against Oath. In the beginning I have not stopped him and I lose so it thunders.
In retrospective I wonder if I should play more duress effects, multiple cards Explosives who had taken the Chalice. Well, next time, I'm definitely going to ask the full Storm and a side board packed with anti-anti-Storm. 'll Be long until the next time anyway.
Must be allowed to thank Oddvar Raugstad, who arranged the whole thing (and went in less for us).
Erik Hagen, who donated a lot of expensive (lots of promos that Cryptic Command, Tidings, Terror etc) and is Stavanger's sole judge.
Thank everyone who I played against to show a good mood, so the day was pleasant.
A small thanks to Nikolai MD, which prevented me from donating Mind Lock Orb and other garbage to 7 - 8 space.
Thanks to Oddvar and Dennis Valentine who lent me short.
And thank you for reading and I hope that you enjoyed the report!

EDIT: This doesn't count as necro, since it's a sticky, right?
Regarding the Ad Nauseam Tendrils and its weirdness,
EDIT: This doesn't count as necro, since it's a sticky, right?
I guess it don't. It's just me being too lazy with magic at the moment and too busy work so that's why this post is not updated in a very long time. Hopefully I will get the chance some time. If there are any others who wants to write a primer or include some lists that they want in the opening post feel free to do so. Cheers!
Many decks lately have been abusing Dark Depths...
Perhaps we could showcase Mono-Black Dark Depths as a budget deck, except for the lotus and jet, the rest of the deck is pretty much either legacy/vintage staples or fairly cheap, I mean, if you can stretch for 2-4 dark depths ($30).
I recently finished off the deck, my version now only uses one proxy, (black lotus, of which I am lucky to own a fairly good counterfeit I managed to catch someone trying to sell in madison back in the day.) for $250.
the best budget deck for me is UW fish. it adapts to the meta.

Haven't posted in this thread in awhile and I love to stir the pot every so often in Vintage.
People are always looking for budget alternatives. I am not sure how this will do - this is bascially a legacy port.
Is "Oops all spells" viable in vintage? I am not sure, but it could be played in a lesser powered meta and I want to add it to the list of suggestions.
Here are a few links of Legacy versions of the deck (giving deck explanations), then a decklist for viewing and finally a link to SteffenBlake's conversion to powered vintage from right here on MTG Salvation.
I really like the merfolk and gw beats. I mean, if we're counting goyf as a budget 4 of, theres gotta be a way to make a budget delver bug or rug. the land base might be the big expense here...
goblins are an easy budget if you have the right build.
even slivers can be a decent budget if you skip the expensive bombs and go for synergy.
[1] I really like to underline the fact that Collector Ouphe is a really nice addition to the Unpowered GW and RG list because it is basically a walking Null Rod.
Being a creature means that it can be destroyed, but also can attack (in order to put some pressure onto the opponent) and is not redundant.
[2] Also, Force of Vigor is a nice sideboard card towards artifact because it is a nice 2x2.
[3] In the "Skullclamp Elves" list another good addition is Allosaurus Shepherd.
This creature seems perfect in this deck: CMC 1 so you are able to cast it immediately, it is a good protection towards counterspells even for our non-creature spells (and not-Elf creatures) and and is also a good finisher if you have 6 mana left.
Play it and see how it goes, good luck!

I knew it would not happen this time, and if I met
John[OLA... And when the re were only a deck, one of the very, very best from Vintage, which had dominated for long periods of, precisely, Tezzeret was printed:Budget Ad Nauseam Storm.
Instant - 18
3 Ad Nauseam
1 Brain Storm
4 Cabal Ritual
1 Chain of Vapor
4 Dark Ritual

1 Yawgmoth's Will
Artifact - 12
4 Chrome Mox
1 Engineered Explosives

2 Sensei's Divining Top
1 Sol Ring
Country - 15
1 Bloodstained Mire
3 Flooded Strand
1 Iceland
4 Polluted Delta
1 Steam Vents
3 Swamp
2 Watery Grave
Except that this is the budget then. Fair
NOK[ENOUGH], it was the Mind's Desire Storm that dominated, but this was what I had available.Win-con:
Eric Luo
EDIT: This doesn't count as necro, since it's a sticky, right?
I guess it don't. It's just me being too lazy with magic at the moment and too busy work so that's why this post is not updated in a very long time. Hopefully I will get the chance some time. If there are any others who wants to write a primer or include some lists that they want in the opening post feel free to do so. Cheers!
My list:
1 lotus petal
1 sensei's divining top
1 null rod
1 pithing needle

People are always looking for budget alternatives. I am not sure how this will do - this is bascially a legacy port.
Is "Oops all spells" viable in vintage? I am not sure, but it could be played in a lesser powered meta and I want to add it to the list of suggestions.
Here are a few links of Legacy versions of the deck (giving deck explanations), then a decklist for viewing and finally a link to SteffenBlake's conversion to powered vintage from right here on MTG Salvation.

He got a suggestion in the comments to up the Memnite count and I went that way for the list.
It reminds me of some of the old Culling the Weak, Kobold/Phyrexian Walker storm builds.
This list is very budget but of course if you odd moxen or whatever it would upgrade it easily.

I really like to underline the fact that Collector Ouphe is a really nice addition to the Unpowered GW and RG list because it is basically a walking Null Rod.Being a creature means that it can be destroyed, but also can attack (in order to put some pressure onto the opponent) and is not redundant.

Also, Force of Vigor is a nice sideboard card towards artifact because it is a nice 2x2.[3]
In the "Skullclamp Elves" list another good addition is Allosaurus Shepherd. This creature seems perfect in this deck: CMC 1 so you are able to cast it immediately, it is a good protection towards counterspells even for our non-creature spells (and not-Elf creatures) and and is also a good finisher if you have 6 mana left.
