Not sure if this should actually be under the MTGO Sub-forum but I searched there and found nothing related to it so...
Basically I have been interested in playing Vintage on MTGO for some time now. Recently the prices on power have been dropping a decent amount, but I have also noticed that the Vintage daily's have not been firing. I have seen the 2 mans are still going, but am not sure if it is really "worth" buying into, due to the fact that power is still roughly 700+ tickets, for events (mainly Daily's) to just not fire. I could play in the 2 mans, but the payout is subpar. Mainly looking for opinions from other members on the issue...
Some of this discussion might belong in the market cafe section.
I bought in, under the assumption that I should have resale value on the Power later. (In fact, I bought a lot more VMA than I needed - 4 normal and 8 foil of each dual land; 4 normal and 4 foil of each of the widely used non-restricted rares except FOW which I just bought 4 normal of, and a lot of very speculative purchases, like hundreds of copies of some of the best uncommons). I bought Power a little early and could have saved a hundred dollars by buying now.
Like any MTG purchase it's a risk and your cards could fall in price. But the plus side is - you can play non-competitive Vintage.
The thing that is missing for MTGO Vintage to really take off is some out-of-client community of specifically MTGO Vintage players.
DEs only fire on the weekends. It's a crap shoot if you think it'll get more popular later. It's unlikely based on the demographic that plays vintage (older people who value their time too much to play on crappy software). I think you're going to be disappointed buying in.
