Man the transition to Cobra is pretty strong this year.
RIP Cubetutor.
Yeah, I was sad to leave CubeTutor; it has some great features they still don't have on CubeCobra, like the draft picks analysis that showed your top picks and bottom picks. Unfortunate that CubeTutor stagnated, as I didn't want to maintain lists in two places.
I'm kind of surprised to see how many people have switched, considering we all clutch on to the half-dead husk of MTGSalvation. I was planning to switch to MTGNexus, but most of my interaction these days is about peasant cube and we just didn't have enough people in that forum, so I still hang around here.
I have also switched to CubeCobra. For me the downtime and attacks on the CubeTutor website forced the change for me.
A future I prefer on tutor is that it's much easier to filter by tags. I usually look at CubeTutor when it comes to the average list each year. Doing a comparison on Cobra is also nice.
Perhaps the tags could be shortened for Cobra this year? Examples:
Tag name - Colour
30 - Red
29 - Red
28 - Orange
27 - Orange
26 - Yellow
25 - Yellow
.....
Or
Tag name - Colour
30-29 - Red
28-27 - Orange
26-25 - Yellow
.....
I often struggle to remember which colours are connected to each tag. Perhaps they could be ordered according to the colours of the rainbow? When I was a kid in Norway, we learned that the colours could be abbreviated to ROGGBIF, to help remember the order of colours.
I still like cubetutor more than cubecobra actually. But cubetutor is often down or loads slowly, the updates take long (Commander Legends is still not up for example) and there is a relatively high risk that it may be gone some day in the near future, taking my list with it.
But I prefer cubetutor's card filter since it's easier and faster to use and I prefer the drafting and deckbuilding for the same reason. Can't think of anything that cubecobra does better than cubetutor. I assume there are some cool things that are better on cubecobra, but apparently nothing that I have missed personally.
That's why I still manage my cube on both sites and usually I go to cubetutor when I want to look something up or make a test draft.
Yeah the main thing killing CubeTutor for me is the sloooow update schedule. A new set comes out, one site lets me make an update and the other doesn't. Which do I use?
I still update all of my cubes on both Cobra and Tutor. I'll upload the final average list to both sites. I think there are things I like more about CubeTutor than CubeCobra, but overall prefer CubeCobra these days for most of my cube management needs.
I look at the average list on CubeTutor way more often throughout the year, though. It's nice to see the tag color definitions right at the top in list view and filtering the cube down to a certain size or seeing only specifically tagged cards is much easier.
It's looking like we're going to end up with just over 40 lists this year, which is pretty awesome. I totally understand the issue with the color tags on both Tutor and Cobra. I've normally done three groups per color, but with 40+ lists, the sites may not offer that many color tags. Is there a preference in color order (or choices) that is the most helpful for everyone?
The Drafting AI on Cubetutor is way better than Cubecobra. My decks are too good on Cubecobra. I definitely feel I am drafting against bots while Cubetutor I feel like the bot takes longer to snap into an archetype and the late draft card quality is worse. My Cubecobra decks are just all good cards, way better than i'd ever get in a real draft.
CubeTutor is still better to use but yeah, it is slow to update as new sets come out. There is also the fact that the creator has admitted the site is not sustainable because of its back end architecture using some outdated framework or what have you. So, I moved to CubeCobra in part because that can be expected to improve while CubeTutor has peaked and can only stagnate.
I agree that the AI on CubeCobra is not as good. Though, my main issue is that I cannot label in-colour cards as lands because all lands get organised to colourless.

I see you changed Treetop Village to an artifact but for me (in my cube) Village is organized in Green while still being a land. What's you default sort?
After lurking for over 3 years I figured I should contribute my cube to this cause, it's been an amazingly helpful resource over the years. I also just finally migrated it over to CubeCobra.

How do you mean? You can put moneky village in green.
Yeah and I have - and I just tested. If I make its type 'Land', it gets organized under all the other lands. I could not find a better sorting method to do this than the default 'Color Category + Types-Multicolor'.

Try:
Type: Land
Colour: Green
Colour category: Green
Colour just changes the section within colour category. For instance Bloobraid Elf would have
Type: Creature - Elf Berserker
Colour: Red and green (result in Gruul section)
Colour category: Multicolored
Changes nothing - it already had that identity and as soon as I change it to a Land, it gets thrown to lands. Ah, but if it is in lands already, I can change the category to green to make it work. If I do it in the other order, changing it to a land changes the colour category to 'land' automatically.

Good to hear that it worked out. I remember I had some similar issues before I realised the difference between type, colour and colour category.
Like I said when I updated that message immediately after posting it, the problem was how it was changing the color category to land when you changed its type to land. The problem was resolved quite some time back and it was never about the settings but the order in which they were applied.
