actually it doesnt matter if its a creature that grants monarch or not. i know its kinda unintuitive, but youll stay monarch when the creature gets killed.
not sure i will run this removal, its useless unless you can defend againt the other creatures opp might have.
I know, but let's say your opponent has 1 creature and you play Thorn of the Black Rose or Palace Guard, then your opponent can remove that and attack to become monarch. If your opponent only has 1 creature and you play Fall from Favor, there is no way to steal your Crown. Also it's worded in a way, that your opponent has to untap with the crown to untap the creature, which gives you an opportunity to get get it back during your turn.
its not bad and certainly quite strong in multiples (constructed), but in cube its only just another removal first. Blue also has enough card draw already and it seems very risky to crown a monarch. Ill stick to Bubble Snare for now. If my opponent only has one creature (unlikely) Im already winning anyway and might as well get draws from a scroll thief variant
Why would u want a 5 mana version of the 4 mana monarch creatures, just because it's colorless over a 3 mana removal, that is probably just the best monarch card so far.
because as i said as removal its not that great and blue is the worst color for monarch in general. So id rather have a beefy colorless wall that goes in green.
Seems like we got a version of Infest in Eyeblight Massacre. Sadly it's cmc 4, while it could actually be abused in BG with some elves, but is also bad against Green.
That blue removal spell that makes you monarch is completely busted by the way. By far and large the best effect the monarch mechanic has been stapled onto so far at common. As some have indicated, you play this on your opponent's only creature and it's basically game. Murder plus draw 2 every turn for the rest of the game and the only way to break it up is easy to play around unless your opponent is on Tokens or a bunch of Flash creatures. It may be 2nd overall pick in blue and likely top5-10 in the entire format.
Just imagine what exactly needs to happen for you to still win the game if your opponent drops this on 3 on the play targeting your 2-drop and only creature in play.
Also, I just assumed it could only enchant your opponent's creatures because of how stupid it is that it gets around its own drawback when you target your own. Turns out you just drop this on your own 2-drop if your opponent didn't play one. How exactly do you not win the game if you cast this on 3? It's a common Palace Jailer. Better than that, actually. I'll take 2U over a 2/2 for 2WW I think.
That blue removal spell
Just imagine what exactly needs to happen for you to still win the game if your opponent drops this on 3 on the play targeting your 2-drop and only creature in play.
play a hasty 3 drop and take the monarch?!
unlike palace jailer this thing cant take back the monarch
the card is only good in multiples, quote me on that after you tried it in cubes.
mwanwhile we get another repulse and a really cool cascade monster.
The Dino is interesting because it's likely that it will bring another creature to the field with him. So a removal is not the end of the world.
But 7 mana is a lot.

The Dino is probably the best non-hexproof ramp target we got so far. The main problem with ramp targets in pauper is that they will trade 1v1 vs a removal thaat was most likely way cheaper. The Dino gets around that with Cascade. Sure you can whiff and hit a mana elf, but you would have drawn the elf otherwise. It's also only 1 additional mana to what a 6/5 trample reach would be worth on it's own. cmc 7 makes sure that you can hit anything, even a 6 drop. Sadly it's still pretty much the only good common ramp target in green. I do still think that e.g. Havenwood Wurm is playable, because it will likely have at least killed an attacker before it gets removed.
I ran the wurm for a looong time and its not really good. If your pod knows the cube or paid attention during the draft they will sniff it miles ahead if you pass turn with 7 mana open. And usually you cant afford to skip multiple turns just to catch an attacker, so its just an overcosted fatty. Id say the most promising ramp target is to run UG and power out Spined Megalodon and non hexproof Citanul Woodreaders
If you really want to invest slots into rampfat Id say Altisaur is the best we got so far.

Blue got another monarch and this one i like, although cmc4 kinda hurts, it will easily get back the monarchy
also another sweeper, now the commons start to shape up. guess its really good if you invest in the ur control archetype, which i currently not support.
is also a cmc 4 monarch creature. It can pretty esaily be killed though and doesn't block well. On the other hand monarch is really strong in aggressive red decks and the 5 power trampler has an ez time to retake the crown.
The blue admiral seems pretty strong as well.
Btw. Fiery Cannonade is pretty sick. A 3 mana instant speed Pyroclasm is very strong for non-creature-based red decks, e.g. UR.
Skywhaler's Shot - Seems fine from the sideboard. The main downside is in most cases you'd rather have Pacifism instead.
Azure Fleet Admiral - Monarch is a bit risky, but is fine when you build around the downside. Unblockable is nice for regaining monarch. This is the kind of card which works well in Blue/Black and tempo. Probably worth trying out.
Kitesail Skirmisher - One toughness makes it squishy. Encore means this card requires further consideration. I would certainly run this if I had little to cards which deal damage in increments of one. That being said, Kitesail Skirmisher is fine as the top end of a tempo deck.
Skaab Goliath - Slow, weak to single target non-red removal. Spined Megalodon has hexproof, this doesn't. Trample is nice on a big body.
Elvish Doomsayer - Black Cat is better. Of course this says each opponent, but we only care about 1v1.
Exquisite Huntmaster - A passable 4 mana creature which leaves behind a body. Encore is what pulls together this card.
Champion of the Flame - Similar effect to Goblin Gaveleer. There are few decent auras now, but I'd say that this kind of card has a way to go before there is the critical mass of effects to make this good. That being said Champion of the Flame and Bone Splitter hits hard. Cubable (but highly cube dependent).
Filigree Familiar - This card is just enough of a nudge in the direction of value to be worth considering. I think if it had 3 toughness it would be great. As it is it isn't really doing enough to warrant an inclusion into any particular archetype. Maybe it's good enough to sit in a sideboard and come out in the relevant match ups.
Foundry Inspector - It would be good the the artifact deck if that was a thing.
Howling Golem - I don't know about this. Repeatable card draw is nice, but giving your opponents cards is really not worth it in the long run.
Staunch Throneguard - 5 mana is costly for becoming the monarch. Might be a bit too tall of an order since all the colours have viable monarch options available.
I think the encore creatures are better than they appear.
ok my additions will be:
Spike Staunch Throneguard - I like the body. 2/5 Vigilance is fine. could be 1 mana less, but the monarch makes up for it. I mainly want it in B and G I guess. Azure Fleet Admiral Imo the best monarch creature weve seen so far, as it helps you maintain the monarch. Eyeblight Massacre im heavy into black control and every sweeper helps. I also run a minor elf theme, so its fun. Filigree Familiar this is more or less a green card to me, to help against sligh and dont fall back on cards. Crimson Fleet Commodore finally a great curve topper and playable red monarch. Champion of the Flame - since i already run Furor of the Bitten, Frenzied Rage and Madcap Skills (and obv Bonesplitter)
would like: Fiery Cannonade technically a spike card, but my red doesnt support control, so i dont have space (for now)
I definitely want to test this, but nor sure of it makes the final cut: Annoyed Altisaur: I can't really evaluate how good or mediocre this is yet. Filigree Familiar: Looks good all around, but not an auto include. Eyeblight Massacre: Compared to Fiery Cannonade this looks very sad. Good in GB, bad against G and overall good against tokens. Fleshbag Marauder: I'm actually not sure if this is that good. I do run the sacrifice theme, but this has always been nothing more than a decent card in the sets it's been in. Makeshift Munitions: High potential. I can't really evaluate it yet. Benevolent Blessing: Cho-Manno's Blessing only didn't remove itself and WW was a pain, but the new one actually keeps all your previous auras and it's 1W. I definitely would like to test this.
Note worthy, but probably not good enough: Skywhaler's Shot: 3 mana instant speed removal in white. Many of the creature u want to kill with a 3 mana removal have 3 power anyway and the added Scry 1 shouldn't be dismissed. Kitesail Skirmisher: A 3/1 4 mana Trained Condor wouldn't be something to get excited about, but it also has Encore for a reasonable price. Probably very interesting for people with a self mill theme.
Sidenote:
Art upgrade for: Fyndhorn Elves: Without the horrible From the Vault foliage. Cuombajj Witches: Just a very nice art.
I think it's an easy staple.

Whenever equipped creature attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on it.
Equip 2
This is interesting, but I dont know if its enough for cube. It takes a lot to get that first counter on the creature.
Just imagine what exactly needs to happen for you to still win the game if your opponent drops this on 3 on the play targeting your 2-drop and only creature in play.

Way better Strider Harness, but probably still not good enough.
Downgrade, but I don't know if it's better than the big black creatures we have right now.
My 490 Pauper Cube

Anointer of Valor - Has to be dealt with and white six mana creatures are extremely lacking. Might be still too slow for the meta.
Benevolent Blessing - Cho-Manno's Blessing is good and this is better. I'm tentatively calling this the staple of the set.
Kinsbaile Courier - Encore make's this alright on offence. It's ehh. I prefer Geist of the Moors and Ballyknock Cohort as 3cmc white creatures.
Flood of Recollection - Double blue is too steep for most decks.
Fall from Favor - Fine in removal heavy builds.
Forceful Denial - Plays poorly with other counter magic. Nevertheless this card is countermagic with card advantage so is worth considering.
Galestrike - Repulse is just better.
Kitesail Skirmisher - One toughness makes it squishy. Encore means this card requires further consideration. I would certainly run this if I had little to cards which deal damage in increments of one. That being said, Kitesail Skirmisher is fine as the top end of a tempo deck.

Exquisite Huntmaster - A passable 4 mana creature which leaves behind a body. Encore is what pulls together this card.
Eyeblight Massacre - Elves isn't much of a theme. Evincar's Justice is better.
Fleshbag Marauder - Nice to see one of these Diabolic Edict on a creature get printed at common. Very much borderline playable. Maybe fine with Ghoulcaller's Chant?
Maalfeld Twins - Playable because Black decks can actually survive to 6 mana. Still this gets shut down by Pacifism.
Boarding Party - The best red 6cmc creature so far. I think this is solidly cubable.
Brazen Freebooter - There isn't enough to do with Treasure (spend it of Fireball?) to make more than slightly better than Hill Giant.
Crimson Fleet Commodore - The state line is good. Monarch is great in red. Maybe staple?
Fiery Cannonade - Slightly expensive Pyroclasm. Probably the best we're going to do for now. The pirate part is negligible. Cubable.
Annoyed Altisaur - Highly variable. Going to say cubeable in ramp decks.
Fin-Clade Fugitives - Cubeable. That's a good creature to encore. There is also self mill available in green.
Scrounging Bandar - Plays well in the hexproofers archetype and therefore is cubable.
Charcoal Diamond, Fire Diamond, Marble Diamond Moss Diamond and Sky Diamond - Worse than signets and Mind Stone. Better than a kick in the pants.

Johnny:
here is where the set really shines
Annoyed Altisaur best ramptarget so far
Lumengrid Gargoyle replaciing Scion of Ugin for better artifact synergies
Haunted Cloak looks somewhat scary to me. Ill miss the +1+1 from harness though.
Foundry Inspector already had a UW artifact archetype going and the set made me enlarge my colorless section
Maalfeld Twins nice value card in and outside sacstrats
Fall from Favor still not sold on it, but ima try it here
Sisay's Ring more power to colorless ramp
all Diamnods - signets are spike and ramp is great here
Galestrike 2nd repulse never hurts
Fleshbag Marauder will be interesting i recur decks.
Eyeblight Cullers thats a lot of bodies to sac
Maelstrom Colossus almost a 2nd annoyosaur
Makeshift Munitions sacstrats were already a thing
Boarding Party 2:1 cards make the cube
Elvish Doomsayer sac
Skaab Goliath technically a timmy card
Forceful Denial you wanna be careful with countermagic in your other cardsd
cool set. not very powercreeped, but many roleplayers

Ez auto include:
Fall from Favor: Izor and me explained in detail why this is a staple.
Very likely:
Azure Fleet Admiral: This is on the same level as Thorn of the Black Rose/Palace Sentinels
