Oh, damn, I just created a thread the same minute you did. Do I need to call the mods to delete it?
The green legend looks great apart from the odd looking partner clause. Turn almost any creature you cast afterwards into a removal spell for a kicker cost of 2. And a 3/4 reach isn't that bad for 3G either.
The red one certainly isn't underpowered, but I don't think I need a 4R ramp card in red.
halana looks powerful though. a bit do-nothing initially, but 2 mana isn't terribly expensive, and a 3/4 reach body is actually a fairly good blocker. cards like this that have the potential to just take over the game are always worth looking carefully at, and i dig it on first glance.
Unsurprisingly, I think Halana is interesting and a likely inclusion since it's not even fighting; it's just one-sided. Still a bit win-more but adds a ton of value to even smaller creatures by making all your 2-power 1-drops into Fire Imps, for instance.
Alena is not for out format but if I had to give her some slack, I'd say she can certainly turbo-boost super big red cards like a kicked Fight with Fire or Fireball effects. Even just firebreathing. So, a more durdly CU/be might find her interesting as an enabler. If you can give her haste, she is also effectively a 1-drop that enters tapped in the late game.
Excited to see the return of "this is probably fine for multiplayer but broken in 1v1 limited" uncommons.
I don't think Halana is particularly win-more. 4 for a 3/4 reach is perfectly serviceable when you're behind, and can easily break a board stall in one more turn.
I just wished they didn't say "partner" on them. I sometimes play with inexperienced players, and this will just confuse them. Apart from that, the green looks very good.

I think you missed the part where it only counts creatures that ETB'd this turn eligible to provide the mana? So generally you can only hope to ramp by one off like Ravenous Giant.

I wish all archetypes could be equally hated. Or loved, but the former better reflects the mindset of the vocal portion of the player base. My 540ish Peasant Cube on Cubetutor

I did not but just had a brain fart and forgot about their casting costs needing to be calculated in. I wonder, though, what would be some options to provide the best value for her. Stuff like getting huge tokens without a mana investment on that turn or the biggest power creatures for the cheapest costs (like Frost Walker but preferably in red).
Halana seems really powerful. 2 kicker is probably expensive enough that it's not oppressive.
Best I can think of for Alena is dropping an Enigma Drake (or similar) for 6+ then playing Rolling Thunder (or similar), but that's far too narrow to justify an expensive fragile card. Turning Reckless Charge into a ritual is novel too I guess.
Haha, I must say all these different ways to boost Alena make me like the card more. I wouldn't cube the card now, but I like the idea. Trumpeting Herd gives +3 mana on the Rebound. Bonesplitter ramps any creature +1. Ephemerate rituals hard.

We're going to play her on 5, trumpeting herd on 6, and then on 7 ramp by 3 mana? Hard pass, please
Two months later, and we're finally going to get traction in this thread again - provided we get better than an eight mana, virtually uncastable kraken. I'm actually curious to see what this set brings for peasant, given they've described it as a more casual environment.
Yeah, Siana, Eye of the Storm could be an interesting signpost card for the flying archetype (one that we've been getting quite a few signposts for lately), but I agree four mana might be a little too much. Especially because in a vacuum, you only get to Scry 1. With more flyers, it's good, but at that point you might be smashing for enough damage that the bigger scry doesn't matter. Maybe if it was bigger than a 3/2.
And now we have another flyer signpost in Radiant, Serra Archangel. Sadly 6W mana. Plus the Maelstrom Colossus at 8. I hope we start getting some cheaper commons/uncommons.
Yes, Coastline Marauders looks like a very good card. I had Brazen Wolves in my cube for a while and it was boring, but pretty good. This is only slightly less reliable in the early game (and almost useless as a blocker), but it is insanely powerful in the late(r)game. Not that I needed another 3 cmc aggressive card in red, but it's good enough that I will find room for it.
Coastline Marauders
This should be a 3/3 or a 4/3 when it attacks for the first time depending on whether you are on the play or draw. If it smaller, you are probably winning anyway. Seems pretty good.

Seems interesting to deversify red a bit more though I don't think I will be trying it at 360.
Seems strong, especially if you have a few pirates lying around. In my 360 I found I'm already running 4 blue pirates and could easily slot in a couple more that were borderline. Exciting.

Wow. but I did. Totally missed that part.
Rite of the Raging storm would fit well with her, I suppose.
