I'm having a really hard time deciding if it's funny or sad that people think of a sex act on urban dictionary for every word they don't actually know.
edit: in other news, Sea Legs is as useless as it is funny.
I think the brontadon is really close but not quite there.. I really like the 4 toughness on it. That is the key toughness.
I agree that Skymarcher Aspirant is probably going in, I am basically only going to consider ascend in White, its the only colour that get ten perminates reasonably quickly.
Ravenous Chupacabra, such a good card but its competing with skinrender and skriekmaw. Black seems to have a lot of good 4s :s. Such mid range power. I might find a cut but i'd be worried messing up the black curve.
The strong tribal synergies of this set makes it rather hard to find includes for my cube... It is strange how much lorwyn features considering it must of felt similar.
Reprinting several cards from Ixalan is brilliant trolling, I salute them.
I haven't looked at the set yet, but from a limited-design standpoint it's a great idea. It lets you get redundancy while also having different cards in different packs.
EDIT: Not many reprints, the Legion Conquistador makes sense but the rest are just kind of guys. These spoilers always overwhelm me in terms of figuring out what synergizes with what, so I'm interested to see how they play out i.e. if they are lazy reprints or carefully chosen.

Oh sure, it makes a fair amount of sense for regular limited (particularly for things like Legion Conquistador)... but it is also quite funny at first glance.
Yeah before I thought about it I started laughing. More of your favorite IXL cards!!!
Also, what about Everdawn Champion? Seems decent in a number of archetypes.
I mean it's a Fog Bank with some power, I guess... no flying and extra (color-intensive) cost are bummers, though, I doubt it's better than the basically unplayed Beloved Chaplain.
Charging Tuskodon isn't better than... wait, seriously, those are their two names? ... Charging Monstrosaur, and Monstro has been surprisingly unimpressive like I mentioned a bit ago here.
Siren Reaver is pretty iffy. Blue aggro is creature-light enough that you'll fail to trigger raid some amount of the time, and even when you do it's not like you're miles ahead of... well, lots of other blue 3cmc flyers like Cloud Spirit or Voyager Drake or Hinterland Drake or Aerial Guide.
Personally I think this set is disappointing even compared to IXL. I'll take "interesting but probably unplayable" over "marginal side-grade" most days.

Well, it has a much better baseline for pants and it also kills more things when blocking in a more defensive deck. I'm not convinced at all that it's good enough, but this is one of the very few cards that might work for us, so I thought I'd bring it up. I think it might be worth trying for larger cubes.
Yeah, Grasping Scoundrel is worse than at least 4 or 5 one drops that we already have. Another (temporary) 2/1 isn't bad, but at this point we've got mass in black and white so it's not that exciting to me. What I really want is a good red one drop.
Is another redundant Savannah Lions variant better than something like Topplegeist at 360 or would it be better to just replace one of the vanilla Lions?
I was also really curious why Crested Herdcaller was not coming up in people's lists as a possible inclusion. 6 power over two bodies for 5 mana is decent in green, although not a slum dunk.
Also, as I like to do, here is my very preliminary top 20 cards for Cube, based on my personal excitement to possibly cube them, categorized for easy reading.
20) Fanatical Firebrand- I honestly have no idea on some of these red one-drops. I think of it as Raging Goblin with upside instead of as a Mogg Fanatic corollary.
19) Golden Demise- For my purposes, this is behind a few other similar effects, but I can see a use for it under certain circumstances.
18) Needletooth Raptor- Reminds me of Firemaw Kavu, but cheaper and less powerful. Firemaw was a decent cube card way back when that was not worth 6-mana, so maybe being cheaper is enough.
17) Charging Tuskodon- Interesting, but somehow not even the best red 5-drop of the last 4 months. Does benefit a lot more than normal from pump spells, which is interesting to me.
16) Storm Fleet Sprinter- Not bad as much as not what most Izzet sections are currently doing in Peasant.
15) Raging Regisaur- Just better than being a generic 5/4 for four, but do not need another Gruul four-mana creature.
14) Jungle Creeper- Possible to find some synergy here with a graveyard theme in Golgari, but still pretty slow.
13) Reckless Rage- It is a one-mana instant that deals 4 to another creature, but the drawback is real too. Needing two targets also severely limits the deck options.
12) Strength of the Pack- Part Overrun, part +1/+1 counter synergies. Not hard for this to add 6+ power to the board permanently that can also attack that turn. Might be one of the biggest things the go-wide deck can do.
11) Everdawn Champion- Attacking Fog Bank is a decent comparison. Holds off a lot of creatures while blocking and also kills the smaller ones. Probably not an aggressive card, which is a strike against it.
10) Oathsworn Vampire- Surprisingly few lifegain effects exist in mono-black, but an interesting card to keep on the back burner.
9) Sadistic Skymarcher- The base card is decent, so I think we would not need that many vampires to make this cubable, but we are certainly not there yet, as I have only 6 mono-black vampires out of 69 mono-black cards.
8) Kitesail Corsair- I agree with the general opinion this is better than the 4 (!) variants of Welkin Tern already in existance, but I do not play any of those currently.
7) Siren Reaver- A card I would definitely consider more if Blue/X aggro was supported stronger in my cube.
Maybe Good?
6) Relentless Raptor- I am not sure if this is better or worse than a vanilla 3/3 for RW or if a vanilla 3/3 for RW is actually good, but I know my Boros decks tend to be at their best attacking all the time, so this might be upside over that vanilla 3/3.
5) Crested Herdcaller- 6 power over two bodies for 3GG is interesting and probably on the same tier as something like Arborback Stomper in terms of getting through damage on offense and stabilizing on defense.
4) Grasping Scoundrel- In my mind, better than the other two-power, one-mana attackers I am already not playing in black. Certainly an option I am glad to have, not 100& sure if it makes the cut.
Happy to Add
3) Thrashing Brontodon- I think it is important to understand that this card can play out in a lot of different ways and may be strictly worse than other cards depending on those circumstances. If they already have a good target on board, I would certainly rather have Reclamation Sage. If their sole target is a Dimir Signet, I would rather have Wickerbough Elder. As a 3/4 for 1GG that can also act as a fail-safe against very good artifacts and enchantments, I am quite happy to have another good option to keep those in check.
2) Skymarcher Aspirant- Two-power, one-mana creatures are the fuel that aggro decks run best on, and I love having another one. I will not remove any of the other existing 2/1s at this time. Probably cutting Topplegeist at this moment.
1) Ravenous Chupacabra- Regardless of how you rank it with its peers, this is the type of spell we get very rarely. Nekrataal was 1997, Shriekmaw was 2007, Skinrender in 2010. Let's just all agree to cut a weaker card and not get too caught up in the minutiae.
edit: in other news, Sea Legs is as useless as it is funny.

Ravenous Chupacabra is a strong maybe.
For consideration
Blazing Hope, I really love this design
Grasping Scoundrel, 2 power.. only on attack... probably not
Oathsworn Vampire, another sweet design
Sadistic Skymarcher, I don't think I have enough vampires
Charging Tuskodon 8/4 for 5 almost hits really hard. but 5 cmc in red.. neh
Reckless Rage, Do I need a creature of my own to use this?.
Crested Herdcaller, would be good if green 5 drops weren't so broken.
Giltgrove Stalker, I actually really like this creature a weaker war-name aspirant probably the most likely to make it. from this pile.

So the 2/1 and the Nekrataal are easy swaps, now the only question is how useful the Brontodon is.

4/4 trample, double dmg

I think having ONE 5drop in red is fine.
Soul of the rapids looks like an interesting 5 drop. Might be a little too slow though.

The cards I am interested in (about in this order):
Skymarcher Aspirant (obvious reasons)
Ravenous Chupacabra (finally, unconditional Murder on a stick)
Grasping Scoundrel (I have wanted one more aggressive 1-drop for black and this is better than Reaver Drone)
Thrashing Brontodon (given my artifact suite and the flexible base stats, should be better than a 3-drop I currently run)
>>
Raging Regisaur (sadly, Ghor-Clan Rampager is still probably better)
Snubhorn Sentry (white goes wide and having an early wall is not bad)
Storm Fleet Swashbuckler (I have a double strike sub-theme; worth thinking about)
Riverwise Augur (sadly, probably worse than Sea Gate Oracle)
Kitesail Corsair (interesting choice between this and Vaporkin)
>>
Charging Tuskodon (could be nice with boosts but not good enough)
Soul of the Rabids (I like hexproof and evasion but this is an overcosted Ascended Lawmage)
Reckless Rage (funny card; too hard to use properly)
Oathsworn Vampire (not good enough but I like the fact that standard bodies get more recursion at uncommon)
Slippery Corsair (I like the idea of a 2/2 Invisible Stalker but that this is not and it would be bad design)
If skies is an archetype you support with signal cards (Thunderclap Wyvern, Sprite Noble, Favorable Winds, Warden of Evos Isle), it's probably a downgrade.

Everdawn Champion
Pride of Conquerors
Riverwise Augur
Golden Demise
Charging Tuskodon
Needletooth Raptor
Storm Fleet Swashbuckler
Crested Herdcaller
Thrashing Brontodon
Relentless Raptor
Other than that, it's just Skymarcher Aspirant, Ravenous Chupacabra and Thrashing Brontodon for me.
