I recently created a peasant cube. I was sick and tired of buying expensive commander staples all the time and I was especially tired of my modern friends baiting me into buying millions of dollars in tarmogoyfs for modern.
So instead, due to my rebellious spirit, I decided to create a cube. I scoured the internet and searched for incredibly strong commons and uncommons and pieced together this monstrosity.
It's not quite finished: I need your help, internet! As the title suggests, suggestions (pun intended) and critique from any of you will be greatly valued.
Once again, I greatly value any help you would like to offer.
Update: Loxodon Warhammer and Skullclamp . I have read mostly complaints about these two cards. Should I run them despite their power?
Also, I'm thinking of just cutting the multi-colored cards completely to focus on colorless and fixing, as well as getting each color back to 60 cards instead of 59 (shiver). Thoughts?
Thank you so much for the suggestions! Most of them just got put into my cart for ordering... a few exceptions were reanimate, force of will, daze, and the more expensive cards due to price. I just have a couple questions...
What do you recommend I cut the centaur glade for?
should I run Disenchant instead of the relic warder?
My archetypes are "loose". Do you recommend me making the archetypes more defined, or just having good cards in each color?

Some magic players play lands. Others play spells. Him? He plays jank.

Just a general point, but "just good cards" is probably less interesting than having a "base" of good cards and some archetypes, which is closer to how draft sets work. Some cubes don't need that base though (say, a dedicated combo cube). Ultimately, it's up to what's most fun for you.
If you want to get technical or want something concrete, you can pick two archetypes per guild and do asfan calculations to compare them to draft sets or the cubes of regulars around here to see how your cube compares.
You're off to a really good start Mr. Jankfield, your overall card quality's quite high, you're not running too many multicolored cards, and you've done a pretty good job of paying attention to your curve. I agree with pretty much all of Phitt's suggestions, and I have a few more suggestions:
Make room for more colorless cards. The best ones will see more maindeck play than the weaker mono-colored cards you're currently running. Some of the best ones that you're not running right now (* for cards that are so powerful some cube managers exclude them):
Run more utility lands. These will also see a much more maindeck play and give your drafters more live picks. You should run all the 5-color fixers Phitt recommends, and the following are also excellent:
Most of them just got put into my cart for ordering... a few exceptions were reanimate, force of will, daze, and the more expensive cards due to price.
Unless you need it to be a foil, Daze is less than $1.50 TCG Market.
As long as you're using opaque sleeves, you can save quite a bit on some of the older cube staples by getting World Championship Editions. They're gold-bordered, and they do have different backs, but they're legit (albeit non-tournament legal) WotC products and they cost a fraction of the price. For example, you can get a Force of Will for less than $10.

Archetypes are fun, but I think it's better to start by making sure you have balanced the three theaters (aggro, midrange, and control) with cards that are strong and versatile enough on their own before you go too crazy with archetypes. Get a few drafts in, see what kinds of decks you and your players like to draft, which cards are cuttable, then start going a bit deeper.

450 card Peasant cube thread. Draft it here.
Thank you so much for the suggestions Spike Rogue! Just got all of the cards you recommended ordered as well as a proxied out kitchen finks. I just have a couple more questions...
What black cards do you recommend to be cut for the colorless cards?
I used to run skullclap and loxodon warhammer, but I found that whoever drafted them just one the game. I've read a lot of lists online from heavy cube-ers such as Browndog5117 that they don't like to run these two equipments due to their power. Do you still suggest running them despite their reputation?

There's a strictly better Typhoid Rats -- Ruthless Ripper, though I don't even think that card is particularly strong (but also not horribly out of place at 360).
My archetypes are "loose". Do you recommend me making the archetypes more defined, or just having good cards in each color?
The way WotC does it these days in their sets and the way I try to do archetypes in my cube is to have a handful of "anchor" cards that clearly define an archetype, and have other "filler" cards that can just be a solid fit in any aggro/midrange/control deck. Makes it so that you can either go all-in on an archetype or just draft straight junk if the cards don't flow right, but still have a focused aggro/midrange/control plan.

Hello there!

Here is the list of this hideous creature:

Make room for more colorless cards. The best ones will see more maindeck play than the weaker mono-colored cards you're currently running. Some of the best ones that you're not running right now (* for cards that are so powerful some cube managers exclude them):
Skullclamp*
Loxodon Warhammer*
Run more utility lands. These will also see a much more maindeck play and give your drafters more live picks. You should run all the 5-color fixers Phitt recommends, and the following are also excellent:
Maze of Ith*
Strip Mine*
Some people have also had good things to say about Grasping Dunes, but I've yet to try it in my own cube, so it may well not be 360 material.
Some specific swaps I recommend:
Delver of Secrets --> Cloudfin Raptor
Zulaport Cutthroat --> Sarcomancy
Scion of the Wild --> Imperious Perfect
Brutalizer Exarch --> Great Oak Guardian
Harrow --> Search for Tomorrow
Lignify --> Nature's Way
Enlisted Wurm --> Kitchen Finks
Campaign of Vengeance --> Zealous Persecution
Putrid Leech --> Baloth Null (Leech isn't a bad card, but I don't think your green section is aggro enough to justify this.)
Stormchaser Mage --> Fire // Ice or Izzet Charm
Here are some of the easiest cards I think you could afford to cut to make room for more colorless cards and fixing lands:
Wheel of Fortune (Don't get me wrong, the card's awesome! But it's never been printed below rare....)
Unless you need it to be a foil, Daze is less than $1.50 TCG Market.
As long as you're using opaque sleeves, you can save quite a bit on some of the older cube staples by getting World Championship Editions. Definitely, but I think Forsake the Worldly is actually a better card.
Archetypes are fun, but I think it's better to start by making sure you have balanced the three theaters (aggro, midrange, and control) with cards that are strong and versatile enough on their own before you go too crazy with archetypes. Some cards/mechanics just drain the interactivity of a game, or cause the entire game to revolve around them

Cloudfin Raptor and Delver of Secrets need some company from aggressive blue 2-drops to really work in a deck -- the best option by far is Skyship Plunderer, then Vaporkin and Welkin Tern; maybe Labyrinth Guardian. If you like silver-border cards, Carnivorous Death-Parrot is sweet.
The way WotC does it these days in their sets and the way I try to do archetypes in my cube is to have a handful of "anchor" cards that clearly define an archetype, and have other "filler" cards that can just be a solid fit in any aggro/midrange/control deck.
