I have a few trips coming up and am making a 180 peasant travel cube, mostly out of cards I already have, for my wife and I to play while traveling. I am looking for any suggestions for random archetypes (however subtle they may be) to add into the cube. Every color will have decent aggro cards. I plan on WG being counters matter which I think will be easier to achieve in a smaller cube, UW will be fliers, BW will be aristocrats style... UB, UG, GB, RG, RW, RB, UR I don't have anything specific in mind. Right now they all seem like control or aggro.
Here is the current link, I do have ideas of changes already.. especially for U aggro, and GW counter theme... but any suggestions are welcome. I am going to try to get this at least playable by this weekend so my wife and I can test it.
I am in the process of building a peasant 180 cube as well! I am still working on putting it on cubetutor, but here it is so far: My Cube
Since it is so small, I decided to make it more theme/tribal heavy and include more combos than I normally would.
If I were to make a 180 card cube, I would only include 1 card per guild. Any more would really limit the amount of playables in any given draft. For the overall cube composition I would probably aim for something like:
30 cards per color
1 card per guild
15 Artifacts
5 lands
The goal here is to maximize the variety in deckbuilding and minimize the amount of cards that will sit in sideboards. I would consider dropping the gold section entirely, but I am sure most people would want gold cards represented in some capacity. For lands, I would include 5 lands that fix mana for any color combination (so probably the Vivid Cycle).
I essentially just ended up doing half of how my 360 cube is currently allocated... this gave me 28 cards per color 2 per guild 20 colorless. Only drafted it once this weekend, the decks were pretty good. If I have time I will upload the list of both decks.

I think if there were more payoffs for tribes I would do it, but I feel the cards are much weaker than having some minor archetype. Maybe elves would be decent, but I want to make sure my cards fit into multiple decks or play types than just the archetype. I am not sure I have pulled that off yet, but I am still messing with my 180 cube at the moment.
Goblins on the other hand was mainly for fun, my group just enjoys going wide with a dorky red army! However, goblin grenade and goblin matron are pretty nice.
My perception (which may prove to be incorrect in practice) is that if you push too heavily on archetypes in a smaller cube, especially the narrow anchor cards, you might make decks in the colour combinations too rigid.
It might depend on the exact draft format you play, but I find that in 2-mans you aren't often fighting for colours. I'd worry that your black section has too much 2 for 1 removal for your black drafter in Shriekmaw, Nekrataal and Skinrender. I think you might be able to cut 1 or 2 pieces of removal from white and red as well to make place for more archetype supporting cards.
