Continuing blacksmithy's original threads, what archetypes do you support for Orzhov? What types of decks do you or can you draft from your pool? What other options could you look at supporting?
My section lacks a bit of identity, but I suspect one of the most common is the 'bleeder' strategy. Stalling the board with the likes of Souls of the Faultless or similar blockers that are hard to attack into, using extort creatures, using drainers like Falkreath Noble and Pillory of the Sleepless. So the path to victory is not to let them attack into you profitably, use life gain from draining effects to offset damage they push through, and let those draining effects eventually take them out.
tokens/aggro. — call it a day; if you happen to peak into my CT, you'll see gift insteaf of pillory. pillory is 1000x better, but had to keep gift in for the gf as a pet card.
pretty much. white's token generators alongside black's support cards like blood artist, falkenrath noble, carrion feeder, etc makes for a pretty brutal deck with crazy amounts of reach.
orzhov is also a good pairing for blink/recursion shenanigans in general.
I've updated the original post with some of these ideas, but there don't seem to be that many floating about.
How about forcing the opponent to attack into unprofitable positions? I'm not under the illusion that it would be powerful, but the colours support it with the likes of Souls of the Faultless and similar walls, damage prevention effects, Nettling Imp type effects, first strikers in white etc. Blood Reckoning and Hissing Miasma can further punish the attacking player.
How deep do you guys go with the drain spells? I was thinking general incidental lifegain/drain as my BW archtype but I didn't know how hard it was going to hit the aggro decks.
Orzhov for me is tokens and Extort. I've trimmed the Extort guys back to just Syndic of Tithes, Basilica Screecher, Basilica Guards, Knight of Obligation, and Kingpin's Pet, which has seemed to be just the right amount of it. I love that, outside of Basilica Guards, you can use them either aggressively or defensively and that you don't need to specifically be in Orzhov to have them be good (except Kingpin's Pet of course).

I support this archetype quite a bit and really like it so far.

What other archetypes are there for the guild?
Extort/Drain - Stalling the board with blockers like Souls of the Faultless or otherwise hard to attack into, and using extort or draining effects like Pillory of the Sleepless. Path to victory is to stall, use life gain from draining to offset what damage they put through, and use the drain as win condition.
Token Sacrifice - Primarily using white's various token generators, alongside black cards that can sacrifice them or take advantage when they die; Blood Artist, Falkenreath Noble, Carrion Feeder etc.
Blink Control - Using white blink effects alongside blacks creatures with ETB to keep the opponent under control; Nekrataal, Liliana's Specter, Shriekmaw
Pestilence - Pairing Pestilence with white cards that can help break the symmetry. Large walls, guardian of the guildpact, lashknife barrier, Spitemare etc. Enlightened Tutor and demonic tutor can provide some redundancy for getting Pestilence. Crypt Rats adds some once off redundancy. White can also offer graveyard retrieval for enchantments.
Aura Drain - Use aura's that drain opponent (One Thousand Lashes, Pillory of the Sleepless), Seal of Doom repeating via Auramancer and other retrievers, with Grim Guardian and Underworld Coinsmith to drain recursing auras.
orzhov is also a good pairing for blink/recursion shenanigans in general.
it's also the best colors for the Pestilence deck...Pestilence in tandem with walls, guardian of the guildpact, lashknife barrier, enlightened tutor, demonic tutor....it's a good deck and a lot of fun to play.

For my guild I have both One thousand lashes and Pillory of the Sleepless. I also have stab wound as another drain enchantment. I use a couple of extort guys syndic of tithes and Basilica Screecher. Another way I support this is through sac/drain using cards blood artist and Falkenrath Noble. Then I also have general life gain/drain creatures like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Bloodhunter Bat.
It's pretty fun and works well so far. Use disruption to slow my opponents and help the game drag on for a win.
