I think I would call the Supply-Line Cranes at the very least "strictly cubeable". They're a strictly better Castle Raptors which has long since been considered cubeable.

It is better than the Castle Raptors, but I don't play that card anymore. Of course, the Cranes are quite a bit better than the Raptors, so it might still be cubeable rather than borderline.
No particular card is strictly cubeable to me. The closest cards to cubeable are Supply-Line Cranes (improvement on Castle Raptors), Flurry of Horns (2/3 haste creatures are nothing to scoff at, even if 2 small creatures is generally less impactful than 1 giant creature in the lategame) or Cloaked Siren (I can't tell if I like it better or worse than Crookclaw Transmuter. But 1 extra toughness is probably worth the narrow applications of the Transmuter's ability.)
There are some other noteworthy cards (Font of Return, Sigiled Skink) but they are below those three. I may have missed some cards (???).
Rise of Eagles is way too expensive.
So all in all, maybe one swap (Transmuter for Siren) and that's about it.
I think the real strength of Flurry of Horns is the fact that its essentially a two for one, which is something Red struggles for in the late game. Otherwise, I pretty much agree...nothing really stands out to me in this set.
I wouldnt take out the transmuter though, that ability is almost pseudo removal and has tons of oppurtunities/uses. Personally I consider it staple status or at least, close to it.
Shifting gears, how many of you guys actually do drafts of new sets/prereleases etc etc? I havent drafted a new set since Innistrad.
I have to say, Pauper cube definetely is the only format im interested in anymore, and its dirt cheap as an added bonus. I just dont really see the point in spending 25$ to draf a set and cards I will never use again.
I don't do pre-releases either. I'll draft though at FNM's when I get an open Friday. I just enjoy drafting and don't play enough to invest in a constructed deck, so instead I have a cube and draft FNM's occasionally.
I'll also play super casual multiplayer EDH borrowing other people's decks.
EDH also sounds super fun, but the deck Id want to play costs more than my 450 cube :/
It literally has no way to win the game and I never try to win. I play for second, I am above the law, I control the game and decide who wins. I am The Kingmaker and it's hilarious!
You... you are the worst kind of person.

I don't know. In my casual group we count how many cards from each new set we are definitely using or likely to use and recently we've been getting huge numbers. From Journey to Nyx its like 50. So for us there's not much chance of getting stuck with cards we will never use again.
I generally draft quite a lot. I play constructed every now and then, but I draft a lot more. I do some prereleases but I don't really find them that fun, I prefer just to draft.
As far as white 5 drops are concerned, I really think that Totem Guide Hartebeest is strong but the other options are only alright, including the cranes.
Also, while Theros block is clearly somewhat underpowered (which is generally a good thing as power creep is a bad thing) it's certainly better than Kamigawa. I don't mind the flavour, though the gameplay is pretty boring.
Opressive rays is interesting, and it's the kind of card that could see fringe play in formats like Legacy or Modern because it's clearly a strong card. However, I think that mana is significantly less tight here than in those formats. The fact that you can leave up mana to stop them attacking then later use that mana on something at instant speed seems to make the card a lot worse.
1)They enchant your guy with opressive rays
2)On your next turn, you don't attack with that creature, and leave at least 3 mana open
3)On their next turn, it is likely that the threat of activation to make the creature block will prevent them from attacking with some number of their creatures.
4)After their attack step, you can use that mana on something useful, provided that it's instant speed.
Basically the same threat of activation effect that a card like Darkthicket Wolf has but in a slightly different context. The card seems like it removes the creature for all intents and purposes until the owner has 3 spare mana lying around, but that's not quite true.
Eh, it's more expensive by 1 to save 2 of your dudes from dying to combat/burn and it's 2 more expensive than the flashback cost. Also, it doesn't protect you from burn/combat damage like Embolden does.
So, I know I'm late to the party, but I finally got the chance to play with Journey into Nyx via the online prerelease. Not much really surprised me except Aerial Formation. Now, I know this card excels in Theros limited largely because a)tricks are more important than normal and b)getting to 7 mana is not unreasonable for most games, but I really like the impact the card had in all the games I got to cast it. It's rare to grant evasion and power to creatures at a solid rate like this card does, especially when it is fine as a single target card to supplement some of the themes I already have at work in my cube (Kiln Fiend type cards and Saboteurs in general).
Also, Supply-Line Cranes is nuts, but that's actually not surprising at all.

Fixed. ^^

Draft it on Cubetutor!

It's not just EOT effects; any sort of instant that you'd normally play during your opponent's second main phase (ex: Counterspell) works as well.
Also, Supply-Line Cranes is nuts, but that's actually not surprising at all.
