Outburst is in the new "Legacy cube" on MTGO (saw Paul Cheon use it on-stream last week) -- certainly a strong card, and gets awesome with just a little bit of support.

Really? I've been going back and forth on this one. I mean, the spell is fine, I like it and all, but it wasn't an auto-include for me. Perhaps I'm misjudging 3 power for 3 mana on turn 3??? Similarly, does anyone run Dragon Fodder/Krenko's Command?

A bunch of people cube Cathodion and Chimeric Idol, so the baseline of 3 power for 3 mana is totally fine.
Being spread across three creatures might be worse in a vacuum, but gets insanely better with any sort of anthem effect. I'd absolutely still put Outburst in a cube deck with zero ways to make the tokens bigger, though!
I play (played?) Krenko's Command and it was always a reasonably string card for red aggro
I don't play krenko's command but these cards dont scale 1:1 with mana and tokens. For example, "R: Make a 1/1" is not a good card. "3R: Make 4 1/1s" would probably be an include for a long time.
So far it's been good.
As for ogre recluse, you also can't cast any sorcery speed burn or guys with haste. And your opponents can cast removal on another guy and tap him. Or thirst for knowledge. Not interested.
What do you guys think about cubing Kazandu Blademaster (the same way you would cube Squadron Hawk, drafter gets a 4off)? Also what´s your thoughts about Kiln Fiend and Nivix Cyclops? Worth a shot?
Different strokes and all, but I don't care for the Squadron Hawk thing. Giving a player a bunch of them just because they drafted one is a bit hokey. Including a card like that requires you to circumvent the rules just to accommodate it.

Leelue's right...3 dorks for 3 mana is more worthy of a deck slot than 2 dorks for 2. It does great work in the spells matters deck and the rakdos sacrifice deck. i do run mogg war marshal instead of dragon fodder and company because it's much more abusable and mucks the ground up more.

I would add or swap one of those for Wall of Mulch. While you have all green cards there, you could also throw a bone to Vent Sentinel for a splash, or depending on how deep you want to go there are plenty of red defenders you can choose from (so Vent Sentinel isn't just a RG card.)
either haste or instant speed would make it an auto-include. As it is, I find that it's above average and fills a much needed hole in what I want out of my red section. It's not phenomenal, but I'm excited to have it.
It fits in a lot of decks and works with a lot of cards. Like, now I'm excited about mortarpod and goblin bombardment. It bridges red more into a deck that can abuse falkenrath noble. It's a fine card.
Nivix cyclops is... alright... but it can't break into a 3 card guild section.
Kazandu Blademaster is probably good enough without multiplying it. It demands removal or it will stonewall most weenie decks while still getting in. I don't know if it would be too good with multiples, but it would be compelling.
I haven't been interested in any WW creatures in a long time. I might prefer Knight of holy nimbus... but not looking to any of them right now. They all seem comparable fwiw.

Some things are obvious, such as having access to vivids and trilands improving the mana base, but if there is any more documentation on the matter I wouldn't mind to have a look. Secondly, what is the general buy in for peasant cubing? Are there any major money cards (a pauper equivalent would be Chain Lightning, which costs 15 dollars or so in a cube that mostly costs 10 cents for each card) that are considered "must haves" for peasant cube (or at least for some archetype support)? Thirdly, does peasant hold up well to 360 lists like powered or pauper, or does it play better in larger lists (450-720)? I know this one is largely down to personal opinion, but some discussion on the matter might be interesting.

As for our money cards, I don't know what's actually worth anything. Sensei's divining top and sylvan library are often included but I would not call either an autoinclude. Mother of runes is in probably 100% of lists, but she isn't like a lynchpin for anything so not having her is ok. Same with cards like mystical or enlightened tutor, only those cards have inclusion rates much closer to 20% than 100. Demonic tutor is pretty big. Sinkhole is a card many of us avoid, as are other cheap land destruction cards. Opinions vary. Same on cards like isochron scepter. Kitchen finks, if it's worth anything nowadays, is pretty damn staple though. I heard inquisition of kozilek was a few bucks a while back too.

I run a 720, mainly for the sake of variety and variance, not to mention the ability to include odd or fringe stuff. The larger you go, the more redundancy is needed to keep archetypes consistent. This means I run Briarhorn along with his inferior descendant, Briarpack Wolf. All in all, I'm thrilled with peasant as a format. It's got its fair share of bombs and a varied card pool. Personally, I found pauper to be a bit dull, and of course powered cubes suffer from the "everything is a bomb so nothing is" problem.
In terms of staples, you should check out this thread. We voted for power rankings a few months ago, thanks to the tireless effort leadfeather89. The resultant list is an exhaustive source for staples, as well as a list of pet cards. It would be a terrific starting point.

Money-wise... I'd strongly advise everyone NOT to cube Sensei's Divining Top since it's a huge do-nothing. MAYBE if you play the Mirage fetchland cycle, and/or multiple copies of Evolving Wilds.
I also like ~450, but that's already enough that I'm slightly stretched for playables. Certainly wouldn't exceed 500.

Ogre Recluse, while it can be awkward when you hold a Goblin Bushwhacker or Falter-effect, it is still a 5/4 for 4. I think a 5/4 for 4 is "large".
