I think I'd rather have a 3/1 than either armorer or the cavalry. Having a 2 drop trade with everything is honestly ok, and being able to deal 3 to the face or to an attacker is important.
So that's ALL the anywhere-near-playable common infect creatures, and the white/blue/red ones probably aren't even worth trying.
then viridian betrayers and tel-jilad fallen, but those just seem too bad to even consider.
There's just not enough there to make it work, man. Not unless you use multiples.
I don't get why they didn't just make infect "you MAY HAVE this creature deal damage to players in the form of poison counters

I'm making my first cube so I have a question. This seems like more than enough cards to make an archetype work, even if a couple people are drafting it. I can see if only 4 people are drafting the cube but a full 8 should make this more than doable. What am I missing?
For the past few months I've really felt that my White section has been somewhat underpowered. I understand White is very weeneyish in Pauper, but it just seems to lack a lot even the early game. What changes would you guys recommend for me? I'm really looking for cards now that you've had repetitive success with.
Plover Knights I know will probably be up there. I'm also looking into dropping Veteran Armorer for Benalish Cavalry, since I've been unimpressed with him since I've ever added him. Suture Priest so far has been a pretty solid 2 drop, but I know a majority of you don't like it.
Loxodon Partisan is definitly too weak and I don't know how Antler Skulkin performes. Is it not too restricted, with only beeing able to safe other white creatures?
In addition to that I see Swift Justice, Disenchant and Empyrial Armor as too weak. Im not a fan of white combat tricks anyway, because white has soo much good hard removal, a sideboard-only card like Disenchant, steals a white slot for a mainboard card and of course there are many people who love Empyrial Armor, but I don't see why. On average it's a white Oakenform and no one plays Oakenform.
The Skullkin hasn't been too great to be honest. The Partisan has been pretty solid on the other hand, being able to stay on the board longer with that T4. He'll still probably come out though.
I'm thinking of throwing in Cage of Hands - a pseduo ever lasting Pacifism is pretty legit.
I think it goes great with Veteran Armorer and Suture Priest
+:It's a less expensive cenn's enlistment, that can also discard dead draws, doesn't have to be land.
-: It's a creature => more 'counters'.
Any other comments/thoughts?
I've cut Cenn's Enlistment already and don't play Suture Priest. It seems ok but has no immediate impact on the board and only a minor impact after that. I like that it's instant speed and two mana though. I don't think I'd play it but it seems fine.
How on earth could you cut Cenn's Enlistment? Hnnnghh so good.
I find Cenn's Enlistment actually shines in Aggro decks as the top of the curve. Those decks have little use for extra lands past a certain point and can benefit from either going wider than another Aggro opponent or stretching the answers of a Midrange/Control opponent. It's a nice source of inevitability to back up an initial rush of creatures that may not quite finish the job (a common feature of non-Red aggressive decks).

Does anyone like skyreach manta? It would pretty much be exclusively for the green colorfixing deck, where it would reliably be a 4/4 or 5/5 flier for 5. Is that good enough? I like including a few cards that reward you for trying to put together one of the more weird/specific decks.
Outside of the green-based deck, it will be just about always be a 3/3 flier for 5, which almost definitely means no one except the colorfixing deck player will take it. Right?

If the incentives are there to make 5-color decks, then Skyreach Manta becomes a reasonable card. This may require some additional cards to encourage such a deck, either Domain cards (Macta Rioters, Tribal Flames, Might of Alara/Gaea's Might) or more Sunburst cards (Pentad Prism or Opaline Bracers). Otherwise, there's not a huge incentive to go 5-color, so the card will likely pass through drafts without anyone picking it up.
Then again, my playgroup might be the least greedy bunch of drafters I've ever met (largely because I taught many of them how to draft), so it's rare to find someone pulling out the 5-color hodge-podge deck.
As someone who's long since jumped at the chance for sweet cards that have been only Common online (hello Hunting Cheetah), I will be playing all of these once Vintage Masters hits.
Also, that set is looking to be very sweet to draft!
Where are you getting this info from? Pardon my ignorance.
And yeah those are all bonkers. Something about putting cards with silver expansion symbols in my pauper cube I can't abide, but looking forward to the nightstalker.

Since these cards will be finding their way into my cube, what other 'only common online' playables are there? Phantom Monster is honestly the only one I remember thinking about before.
Can't wait to put Elephant Guide on an undying creature.
I don't think that works the way you think it does. You get the same advantage from Elephant Guide from both regular creatures and Undying. Undying sends the creature to the graveyard and the enchantment comes off, then it comes back to play without the enchantment.
Man, I dunno how I feel about putting MODO Commons in my cube - I'm with Metalevolence on this too, I don't like having the little Silver set symbol amongst all my Commons
Honestly though, this set is going to be insane for Pauper online too I think, if any of those cards are going to be Pauper legal.
I wont add any Modo-only commons to my cube, at least not before modo-pauper allows paper-only commons like hymn. As is, those are two different systems for me.
Also I dont see any neccessary benefit from those spoiled cards.

I agree I don't like having the set symbol disparity but I got over it for the sake of having foils of Pyrotechnics and Crypt Rats that don't exist in black symbol foils... I'll probably get past it for the sake of casting Battle Screech which seems so so good. And hey, no one is going to know Nightstalker was uncommon in Portal!
So you get the 3/3 elephant token and the undying creature with a +1/+1 counter on it. That is exactly how I think it works.
Still going to be fun.
That's the same value of the two cards separately. There's not any synergy that increases their value by being together ><. I'm gonna go with Mslano in saying that's just the excitement of Elephant Guide being good

It sometimes also ends up being a trump card in a control vs control game.

Agreed.
Arrogant Wurm is now common. Seriously making me reconsider my No-Magic-Online policy.
