Your argument for Somnomancer does seem valid, but Silkbind Faerie is ridiculous - in Shadowmoor Limited it was basically a 3-for-1 (tap a guy, block a guy, plus a clock). I agree with you removing the 2-mana tappers (way worse than Goldmeadow Harrier), but the Faerie is just amazing.
Like Lanxal said, Curse of Chains is pretty hot too, especially in foil.
Oona's Grace and Crusher are good, Grace essentially makes all of your lands cycle for 2U which is especially nice for control decks that want to make their land drops early and then get use out of them late game. Similarly, Ulamog's Crusher is a really nice ramp target. It dies to outright kill spells but if the opponent doesn't have one, they're in for a world of hurt, as it requires a creature+burn spell or multiple creatures to kill it in combat, not to mention permanents required to sacrifice to its attack trigger. It's also nice to reanimate with Exhume or the while zombify spells.
Not really a fan of Taunting Elf, I think Shinen of Life's Roar is a better lure effect. Nor Wall of Hope, it stalls but it's still essentially just a wall. Not sure on Flunkies, there are probably enough 1 drops in red to make it worthwhile. Definitely better than Jackal Familiar, since it never attacks on turn 2. 2 drops are at a premium in red, things like Emberwilde Augur aren't too bad solely because it can attack for 2 and burn the face later on (like a worse Ember Hauler.)

We have four red common storm cards (Empty the Warrens, Grapeshot, Scattershot, Storm Entity) and a ton of red rituals to use with them. Would this theme require too much sacrificing of better cards, or is there a way to make it good, maybe in a smaller cube?

the cards are bad on their own, and only good with a lot of support. i think it will dilute your cube with cards that will stay on the sidelines most of the time.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Agreed. Storm requires way too much setup to be worth it and red's stacked with good cards, especially with burn spells. It's got things like arc lightning and pyrotechnics and it requires a lot of setup for grapeshot to be even close to any of these spells. Similarly, red's rituals are really bad.
Storm doesn't work because it requires dedication in your cards, and you just can't afford that when cubing. Combo doesn't really work in cube unless: 1, it only requires two cards, and 2, both cards are good by themselves beyond the cube.

Kemba's Skyguard: Borderline playable, I won't run it. My favorite for this slot is still Freewind Equenaut, its tiny advantage over Wild Griffin coupled with not costing 1WW make it seem better to me. (By the way, it's mainly only relevant with Pacifism effects.
Revoke Existance DO NOT run this if you can help it, it's only really relevant against artifact creatures in pauper, and sorcery speed hurts a lot.
Salvage Scout a pauper Rootwater Diver! In an arguably better colour for it! But there are few good artifacts it works well with, we'll probably have to wait for the rest of the block.
I don't agree with Alpha Tyrannax. The lack of trample k-k-kills it. I don't want my phat finisher being chumped all day.
Neither do I agree with Copperhorn. 1/1s are so irrelevant in Pauper, and one that requires you to attack with it is basically the same as a sorcery that does the same thing. If your opponent has even one creature on the field, it's dead faster than you can blink.
Tusker is great because it costs 3 to cycle and can double as a finisher lategame. Horizon Spellbomb is no. Where. Near.
Strider Harness is overcosted for the effect. I don't need a 4-mana Greaves, thank you.

Yeah, that's the annoying thing about him. I'm thinking of maybe cutting a manadork for him, but the problem there is that that makes him inherently quite a lot worse.
Yep, it's hardly comparable, but Krosan Tusker is truly amazing in the format. Whether there's any good cut for it, we'll see. I like it more than most of the other spellbombs (from either set) though, apart from maybe Origin Spellbomb. Maybe. Most definitely deserves at least some testing.
I don't know, I'll test it. It's worth a note that some equipment are run even with huge play/equip costs for their effect, like in your cube Runed Stalactite, or even good cards like Viridian Longbow. This is only a large investment once, and afterwards is a much better Leonin Scimitar.
I'd run it long before Runed Stalactite , regardless. It'll cost the same after two equips, and the effect is obviously hugely better.
It'll be a cool card to test, but I've got no idea how good it'll be. It seems pretty great to equip it to a dude, swing in the air and equip it again to have a first-striking blocker. Though it is a pretty expensive equipment to not buff the guy.
Everyone, I was reading somewhere a few posts about Brindle Boar vs Grazing Gladehart. What does everyone think? Brindle Boar seems better, as it's a lot more consistent, especially against red, but M10 rules hose it quite a lot.
Yeah, it's consistent. It consistently dies. You need to choose between 4 life or a 2/2. Grazing Gladehart can give you both. It's a lot more of a threat than Brindle Boar. With Grazing Gladehart, you either gain a bunch of life, or it eats removal because your opponent realises how good it is. Both have happened to me a lot.

Eyeblight's Ending is pretty marginal, as there are a ton of black removal spells already (Snuff Out, Terror/Doom Blade, Vendetta, Disfigure, Last Gasp, Nameless Inversion, Diabolic Edict, Innocent Blood) - I don't recommend it too highly, since many other spells do the same/similar for less mana and mana costs are key (Ravenous Baboons > Ogre Arsonist, because of mana efficiency, even if the Ogre has more targets.)

Kemba's Skyguard: Borderline playable, I won't run it. My favorite for this slot is still Freewind Equenaut, its tiny advantage over Wild Griffin coupled with not costing 1WW make it seem better to me. (By the way, it's mainly only relevant with Pacifism effects.
Revoke Existance DO NOT run this if you can help it, it's only really relevant against artifact creatures in pauper, and sorcery speed hurts a lot.
Salvage Scout a pauper Rootwater Diver! In an arguably better colour for it! But there are few good artifacts it works well with, we'll probably have to wait for the rest of the block.
Alpha Tyrannyx: Maybe? It's probably better than Yavimaya Wurm, as it's pretty damn hard to kill in combat.
Copperhorn Scout: Really good for Green. Great in aggro against aggro and can generate mana with manadorks.
Bladed Pinions I dunno, this reminds me of Basilisk Collar. Could be absolutely brutal, not sure.
Horizon Spellbomb. Sure, it's an overcosted Tusker effect. But Tusker is great, and this is fetchable with Trinket Mage. I like it.
Perilous Myr: Personally, I love it. Great in blue, even maindeckable sometimes in red. Does aggro and control just nicely.
Strider Harness: Pauper's version of Lightning Greaves? I quite like the card.
Glimmerpost: Waste of space, but seems maybe better than Kabira Crossroads? Maybe not.

Neither do I agree with Copperhorn. 1/1s are so irrelevant in Pauper, and one that requires you to attack with it is basically the same as a sorcery that does the same thing. If your opponent has even one creature on the field, it's dead faster than you can blink.
Tusker is great because it costs 3 to cycle and can double as a finisher lategame. Horizon Spellbomb is no. Where. Near.
Strider Harness is overcosted for the effect. I don't need a 4-mana Greaves, thank you.

Yeah, that's the annoying thing about him. I'm thinking of maybe cutting a manadork for him, but the problem there is that that makes him inherently quite a lot worse.
Yep, it's hardly comparable, but Krosan Tusker is truly amazing in the format. Whether there's any good cut for it, we'll see. I like it more than most of the other spellbombs (from either set) though, apart from maybe Origin Spellbomb. Maybe. Most definitely deserves at least some testing.
I don't know, I'll test it. It's worth a note that some equipment are run even with huge play/equip costs for their effect, like in your cube Runed Stalactite, or even good cards like Viridian Longbow. This is only a large investment once, and afterwards is a much better Leonin Scimitar.
I'd run it long before Runed Stalactite , regardless. It'll cost the same after two equips, and the effect is obviously hugely better.

I don't like Stalactite, but I'd run Bladed Pinions before the Harness in it's place. In fact, I just might.

It'll be a cool card to test, but I've got no idea how good it'll be. It seems pretty great to equip it to a dude, swing in the air and equip it again to have a first-striking blocker. Though it is a pretty expensive equipment to not buff the guy.
Everyone, I was reading somewhere a few posts about Brindle Boar vs Grazing Gladehart. What does everyone think? Brindle Boar seems better, as it's a lot more consistent, especially against red, but M10 rules hose it quite a lot.
