I read this article recently. Link (I found it mentioned on an earlier thread.) What does everyone think about this idea? What are some potential consequences of implementing a change like this? How would you feel cubing with a cube with this change? Any other thoughts on this subject?

I think pursits wont agree with making your own errata in making Rebels in White. I think there are ways of pushing White Weenie (Armageddon, Ravages of War, Limited recources if needed) without resorting to what is essentially custom cards.
In cube and in draft, mono color strategies are really difficult to pull of because of the limited number of cards. I think in larger cubes, A legitimate rebel chain can be put in, as well as other strategies such as Madness/Graveyard, MBC, storm, etc.
EDIT: I did not realize you are talking about pauper. I think you can easily put in Amrou Scout, Defiant Falcon, Ramosian Seargeant, and Ramosian Lieutenent. Blade of the Sixth Pride and Aven Riftwatcher are already in pauper lists. Put in Steadfast Guard and probably the gliders and Fresh Volunteers. I think it will still be suboptimal. I think tribal decks will have more fun with this, hacing changelings to fetch as well.

I have no experience with Rebelizing a pauper cube. A rebelized unpowered cube still ends up with white aggro decks that want some of the support cards, although usually the rebel deck doesn't want to load up on a boatload of 'geddons.
I suspect that rebellizing some of the already-good white aggro creatures will probably make the white rebels archetype very desirable. If too many 'bullet' creatures get rebellized, then the rebel searchers start to get picked early by too many people and the deck seldom comes together.
Ultimately, that comes down to whether you want the searchers to be high picks in an archetype, or high picks overall. I'd imagine that the tutoring is extremely powerful in a pauper environment, even if it is just getting more solid bodies.
Is white weenie underpowered in pauper? I haven't played it much yet, but it seems to be doing alright. From that article, it seems like they may be playing the rebel searchers as written? For a pauper cube, would searching up a Nameless Inversion be allowed? In a peasant cube, Bound in Silence would likely be very good with a rebel subtheme.
For myself, I wouldn't really be comfortable changing creature types to rebels except for creatures that realistically could be. Sorry Steppe Lynx, you're not even sentient.

How about in pauper cubes? (ie. no Armageddon, Ravages of War, Limited recources) Would it make WW too much of a powerhouse? Would it unbalance a Common Cube?
