I’m Geena - I used to hang out here and had two cubes - one of the earliest 180 Travel cubes and a 450 All-Foil cube. Life happened, I drifted a way from cube a little and I had to sell a lot of cards to make some ends meet. Things have gotten better and I can now start to slowly put together my cube again! I have always been drawn to smaller cubes, I enjoy the mind game of trying to support everything in a small footprint. I also like to have something easy to transport. I currently have the entire 270 in a Dex Protection Supreme One Row with enough room for some tokens and a few spin downs.
I probably will never have two cubes again because of the expense, and right now I am happy with the 270. I have no one to really play Magic with and no way to get into a group with COVID and all so I feel like this is the right size. Right now its all about enjoying putting it together by myself. I will probably land on 360 sometime, but I don’t want to water down the quality, so I’d rather it be smaller than a bunch of filler cards.
Anyway, I feel bad I just disappeared, but I am happy to be back doing cube. My cube is in my signature!
At 270, I wouldn't find these cards powerful/interesting enough to keep around: Sun Titan, Weathered Wayfarer, Enclave Cryptologist, Jace Beleren, Liliana Heretical Healer, Liliana Vess, Prophetic Flamespeaker, Spear of Heliod, and Farseek. I'd probably cut green aggro and focus on ramp and midrange for green. This looks like a fun cube, though. Keeping a cube this small must be maddening.
Just dropping by to say you got a really nice cube.
I think just having a cube is nice - I had a lot of fun with cubes of all sizes. I've had fun with a hyper competitive 540 card Vintage Cube and a 2000+ mega cube. Its just awesome to play a group to play.
