Didn't have basic Plains in my cube for the last few months. Fortunately (or unfortunately), I haven't drafted my cube in longer than that - so no worries.
Back to having a full set of basics, maybe I'll get around to finding people for a cube draft soon-ish.
February 24th-25th, 2017 - 2 Man Drafts @ Giga-Bites Quarterly February 2017
Mediocre pictures, but I was able to get 3 2-man drafts in at least while I was visiting Atlanta this weekend.
My decks are first in each set.
2 Man Grid Draft
2 Man Epic Draft
Was introduced to the Epic Card Game this weekend, and they have a draft variant where you and your opponent each draw a 5 card pack, pick a card, then pass the remaining 4 cards to your opponent, from which you take 2 additional cards and discard the rest (face down). In that game you'd draft 30 cards total and play with the 30 you have, we fiddled with the numbers a bit and were pretty comfortable doing 13 packs, making a 39 card, high-impact draft. Pretty cool format and it goes so fast compared to laying out and clearing out a grid each pick. Loved it. Highly recommend.
Another Epic draft.
Draw 5 cards, take a card, pass the remaining four to the other player, then take 2 from that - burn the rest. 13 repetitions.
Didn't get to actually play these decks, drafted between rounds.
My deck first, then his. First time seeing the cube.
Scanned the vast majority of my cube. There's a couple cards out for signing that I missed (15ish?), but I'll grab those whenever they get back. I'll probably get the full list in the first post once that happens.
Generated some packs in the mean time, so here's a couple pick the picks.
Got a small draft together after a local legacy event. Been a while.
As usual, sideboard stuff on the side. I don't have exact mainboard configurations, this is just whatever they left me after the draft.
1-2? I think I might have played Chief of the Edge or something instead of the Jeskai Barricade.
2-1? No one wanted any of the red cards going around the table.
Narrowly beat the WGB deck.
1-2? I know he had Okiba-Gang and Corpse Augur in against me at some point. Also know that he had Crypt Rats and Firebolt in against the GR deck.
Definitely know he lost to the GR deck, might have also lost to the WGB one? Not entirely sure.
My deck.
2-1 losing to the BUG deck.
Boarded in Sentinel + Plains over Gargantua + Swamp in a few games. Wanted to try a more aggressive route with the black two drops and the Pierce Strider.
Side note: Got my scans updated in CubeTutor. I've got 30ish cards out at the moment in progress.
Of all the funny things going on in that Abzan deck, my favorite is that it's playing Vampire Lacerator (with three swamps) and Fyndhorn Elves (with three forests)... but not Tormented Hero, or the white 2/1 idiot (with six plains), or the Elves of Deep Shadow.
Seems better to cut the green completely (5 cards cut) and swap the Forests for more Plains and Swamps, and instead run the Chief, the two 2/1s, the Bloodthrone Vampire and the Shrine. At least it would start to become plausible to cast all those WW and BB cards.
Agree with both of you. I'm not sure adding double green five and six drops is where I'd want to be in my BW aggro deck.
That was his first cube draft as far as I'm aware, and I think it came out well overall. If he had gotten some of the white cards that GR man did (Mistral Charger, Lingering Souls, Arrester, Flickerwisp, etc) then the deck could have been a powerhouse.
Trying something a bit different this time.
Really not sure what resolution works for these or how much vertical space to give each card. I work on a 15" 4K monitor so I tend to like images a bit larger..
These are scaled to 1200px wide and compressed to *****.
This is mainboard configuration (as I was given it) with the sideboard slightly below and with less vertical space between cards.
July 28th, 2017 - 8 Man Draft @ (before the) GigaBites Legacy Quarterly in Georgia
First 8-man I've had in a long long time. Was only able to save 7 of the lists sadly, one without sideboard.
One of these decks is indeed only 39 cards. I double and triple checked my count against the physical list. One of our drafters had to leave for a sanctioned draft at the beginning of pack 3, so he plowed through pack 3 and dumped a 4 color pile on his buddy to build.
Half the draft was playing in Standard FNM, so most only got a couple games in with their decks before that started.
This was every drafter's first look at the cube as far as I'm aware, though one drafter had mentioned looking through the cube on cubetutor prior to the evening - he immediately wanted to draft Booster Tutor and succeeded in doing so.
My list last where yet again I splashed Sentinel of the Eternal Watch for no goddamn reason other than liking the card.
We didn't get to play a lot of games, but mostly red stomped three opponents.
Mono Black was probably my favorite deck of the draft, I died to a reanimated Crypt Rats activation for 8 or something crazy.
Hah, good catch.
Wanted to try out having an extra counterspell in and it was what I had on me at the time - it was in my box of stuff from Vegas signings.
It's strictly worse than Miscalculation and Mana Leak though so it's pretty garbage and I'll find something else instead - been meaning to give Spell Pierce a shot.
Got to do two more 8-man drafts this past weekend at Tuskvitational II. I'll see about getting what lists I have posted later.
UR Rise from the Tides deck with War Elephant tokens.
Ya, Rune Snag is just a strictly better version. Has "flavor text" but if you're OK with drafters trying to read a signed beta Berserk then you shouldn't mind the irrelevant clause on Snag
Remand is just crazy good, though. Never thought it would be missing from your list, or really any peasant list.
Alright, might have to give Remand another shot. It's probably the best of the options I have.
Psh, the Beta Berserk gets fewer questions than this thing that 99% of the people that draft my cube have never seen before being exclusively legacy/vintage players.
Still working on generated decklists pictures, need to sit down and finalize it.
August 12th, 2017 - 8 Man Draft @ The Team Tusk Tuskvitational II powered by Rib Ranch
Tuskvitational II was an invite only Legacy/Legacy Unleashed/Vintage Team event at the Rib Ranch BBQ in Georgia. Got an 8-man draft together after the top 4 cut and had some sweet lists result.
I've only got pictures for 7 of the 8 sadly.
Which is why I ran out of Mountains and apparently should bump my count from 30 basics each to 35 or 40. Probably not going to try and match them to the rest, I might just go with 1-ofs and get drafters to sign them.
Also happened the week prior when 17 swamp mono black was drafted and I needed 31 swamps for 3 decks.
Might just bump it to 40 basics for the sake of it.
The last, UR Control with Rise from the Tides took it as far as I could tell. We didn't play a structured single elimination draft, but the deck was 3-0 or 4-0 if I recall correctly.
September 2nd, 2017 - 6 Man Draft @ The Bachelor Party
Bachelor Party draft with 3 people that play magic regularly, 2 that play casually every now and then, and one that had never seen a card in his life.
My deck
And lastly the guy that had never touched a card before, got the 20 minute rambling explanation during a car ride, and arrived at a pretty respectable deck.
My Peasant Cube thread !!! (380 cards)
Draft my Peasant Cube on Cube Cobra !!!
Back to having a full set of basics, maybe I'll get around to finding people for a cube draft soon-ish.

I think my options are Spell Pierce, Remand, Complicate, Countervailing Winds, or Rewind?
Not hugely fond of Remand and I don't know if Runesnag really does it for me.
Maybe it's time to add a Cursecatcher or a Judge's Familiar.

My deck. 2-1. Pretty sure I could've gone a more aggressive route with this.
Bant 3-0 list.
New to cubing, new to drafting, and I think newer to magic?
[Developing] 430+ Peasant Cube Thread --- [and on Cube Cobra]
I drafted BW tokens and won the best of the three in part due to some mana screw in the third game on his end.
Both seemed like pretty solid lists.
