I noticed that right now you have Sealed as the best way to draft 2-player with a 630 cube, with --% of usage.
Now that you have a 630-card cube (though it might not stay that way), have you thought of making your "official" 2-player draft an Impulse draft?
Essentially, 15 packs of 12 cards, such that you draft 1 and burn 3. This would yield a 57.1% usage rate of the cube and each pack would be seen twice.
Just thinking it would be cool to extend the Sight -> Glimpse -> (Impulse) cycle into something logical. Could also be applicable if your cube ever gets to 720.
Very cool idea! I'll have to test that out moving forward. I haven't needed anything beyond the Sight/Glimpse draft yet, but I like the idea of the take 1 burn 3 and "wheel" picks aspect of an Impulse draft. May need to consider that, especially if I move up to 720 (which certainly could happen).
I definitely want to keep the name and the concept, but I would modify the pack sizes. I think it's important that each pack gets seen multiple times (even if it was a 3-person Impulse draft, or a 4-player one at 720). I think I like 9 packs of 20 cards better, so a larger % of your pile comes from later picks, and people can't construct 65% of their deck from 1st pick cards.
I want to credit you with introducing the concept to me though.
Cool, yeah. I was thinking about 9 packs of 20 as well, but didn't know if 20 would feel like too large of an initial pick pack size. Now that you mention it, I do think it would be better especially when you go up to 4 players, so that it isn't all first picks.
If I get around to testing it, I'll let you know (and you should do the same)!
Thanks for the suggestion! I'm definitely going to tinker with it, try it out, and implement some kind of Impulse Draft methods for smaller events with larger cubes.
Just so it doesn't come as a tremendous shock when it happens, there's going to be another significant change to the cube structure happening in the near-ish future. It will cover a lot of changes, including an increase in size to 720, incorporating another new draft method to increase the pool % used when drafting (part of what facilitates the changes) and the new pool of cards is largely going to be focussed on combo play. You'll see cards that support the Kiki/Twin combo, cards that support Storm, Vault combo, Persist combo, some infinite mana combos, Grave/Dance Annihilator creature combos and a few others. I have players in my playgroup interested in exploring that design space, and if an increase in size and modification to draft methodology can facilitate the real estate and the logistics required to allow those strategies with less of an impact on the existing cube pool, I'm open to testing that configuration. It'll take a while to iron out the details, but I just wanted to put everyone on notice now that it's definitely going to happen. I have a lot of guest drafters and a lot of other folks that are interesting in playing combo decks and wondering why that element is excluded from my cube experience. Historically it's been in large part due to small draft pool % issues and the fact that they take up too much real estate in the cube. If I can solve both of those problems at the same time, I should be able to give combo a good chance to be competitive without hurting the validity of my current strategies.
Awesome news. I was working toward a size 720 cube because my playgroup had some suggestions (mostly combo-oriented cards), so this will help guide me in that direction. Can't wait to see the changes!
Impulse Draft (discussed a few posts above). 9 packs of 20. Pick 1, burn 3, pass. 5 picks per pack = 45 cards in draft pool. Just like Sight and Glimpse drafts, but with a 3rd burned card per pick.
Edited my post #3 (which covers draft methods) and updated my "pinned" Tweet on Twitter to include all the information about all the alternative draft methods we use.
I'm looking forward to seeing what your support for the storm archetype looks like. Several of my drafters love it, but I just can't see giving it a permanent home in a ~540 list. So I have a storm add on package and I stipulate to my group that if we get to 8 drafters, I'll toss storm into the pool. The package is 23 cards and, honestly, that still feels like too little to make the deck work even with the support that's just in the cube already (U cantrips, Dark Rit, Tutors, Power, etc).
Here's what I'm running in that add-on, if you're curious. I'm definitely interested in seeing how you support it and what you include, though. I'm not personally a fan of the archetype, so I'm probably doing something wrong here.
Upping your cube-size to 720 is very interesting. As many have, I took a grest deal of inspiration for my cube from yours when it was 450. Your list was always extremely strong and powered, so I'm interested in how you manage to expand your cube while making minimal loss in power-level. Do you think the differential between best and worst cards in your cube will get very large at such a size, especially since you play the very best cards in the history of magic?
Well the idea is to create a powerful and balanced custom limited environment. As long as I can maintain that maxim, I'm comfortable at whatever size that winds up being.
The powerlevel will be going UP with this next update. Very few cards are just "the next best card" for a given color/CMC; they're largely all support cards for powerful combo archetypes.
Sight/Glimpse/Impulse drafting is a big part of maintaining a powerful pool with a medium- to large-sized list. That continues to be the case moving forward.
@calibbretto: My storm package won't be too far off from that, from what I can tell. But a 4-player Impulse draft seeing 100% of the cube or a 5-player Glimpse draft seeing ~94% of the cube will help us with consistency.
OP has been updated with the rise to 720. CubeTutor changes coming soon. Then I'll update the change log, and post a quick primer discussing the additions. Thanks for your patience everybody!
I briefly discussed the philosophy change above of having the real estate to support combo without sacrificing consistency thanks to Impulse/Glimpse/Sight drafting making that a possibility. Here's a list of the additions and changes, and a brief explanation as to why the card's included.

What are the combos that fiend hunter/sun titan/karmic guide support? Want to make sure I’m not missing anything. Thanks for all the work you put in as always, especially in these big updates! So excited to play with the new combo packages
You combine them with a sac outlet and you get infinite triggers. So with a Goblin Bombardment and a Fiend Hunter + Sun Titan/Karmic Guide (Or Guide + 'Lark), you deal infinite damage. With an Altar of Dementia, you would get infinite mill. With an Altar, you'd get infinite mana. Etc.
That's an awesome list of changes. Really cool to read your justification for all of them. You'll have to update us with how you feel about the changes once you have tested the new infrastructure. I'm interested to see if your group likes the changes enough to keep them around.
Something I've learned from playing Vintage recently is that you can use Manifold Key to untap Sensei's Divining Top with its draw ability on the stack to tap it again and draw an extra card.
Have you looked into Bolas's Citadel for storm? Easy to Tinker / Ritual into, and also has cool Top synergy where you can just pay 1 life to cycle the top card of your library with Top every time.
It uses all the available pieces, and sees a greater % of the pool than the Vintage MTGO cube does, so if it can work there, it can work here. Storm is never a consistent archetype, but it can be drafted, and it can win. It's just risky.
Hokori, Dust Drinker -> Ranger of Eos
Bomat Courier -> Village Messenger
Eidolon of the Great Revel -> Reckless Waif
Staggershock -> Instigator Gang
Vinelasher Kudzu -> Duskwatch Recruiter
Sarkhan Vol -> Huntmaster of the Fells
Field of Ruin -> Adaptive Automaton
