Vile Redeemer seems like the weakest of the C cards. Did you consider World Breaker at all for that slot? It's another powerful ramp target for G/x decks (though unfortunately you can't Natural Order it).

first of all im a huge fan of your cube, i follow your set updates, i love the idea for the new colorless section, so my quesiton how many "wastes are you going to add" to your basic lands for the cube i have 35 for each color, around 15, 20 maybe? keep the great work , greetings from mexico
Yes, I considered it. I think World Breaker is really bad. It's a colorless fatty that can't be tinkered, a green creature that can't be natural ordered, and you can't even reanimate it for value. It'd rather have the 3/3 flash that can protect green midrange decks from control's sweepers and bust apart early combat.

Nice cube box, and thanks for commenting!
I also use 35 of each basic, but I'm only sleeving up 10 Wastes. Only 1-2 decks at the table will need/want them, and those decks will probably only want 1-2 of them anyways. If that turns out to not be enough, I'll add more. But initial testing looks like 10 will be plenty.
Nice way to include all the C cards to the cube! I like this move. Cutting one of each guild card to find a spot for them sounds great! Looks it is the right approach for the people who want those cards in. And re-bring in some Painlands was also expected. I'm a bit worried about the Blightsteel Colossus cut though. But pretty good update so far! I'll have to test it out on Cube Tutor soon!
Thanks! Ya, I didn't like the idea of cutting mono-color and generic-costed cards to get the C stuff in, since they're generally harder to cast. And I wanted to cut down on gold anyways, so it was a perfect excuse.
And as soon as OGW drops in CubeTutor, I'll get the list updated.
Thoughts on Mirrodin's Core as additional C support? I think it can be argued that in some cases, Mirrodin's Core will be better than Tendo Ice Bridge, specially in Control.
Also, how has Nether Void been in your testing? Has Black finally reached the critical mass needed for NV to be considered a staple (it is after all considered as the black Armageddon) , or is it something that you consider on the fence and is in line to be cut? Currently holding out on purchasing it in the mean time.

Control already has its version of Ice Bridge in Grand Coliseum. I wanted to add in a land that would be good for aggressive decks too. Mirrodin's Core is fine, but I think the Ice Bridge is much better.
Nether Void has always been good, but I think black aggro is deep enough now that including a signpost card for that deck is important. It also gets better with access to more manlands, so now was a good time to reintroduce it.
I've been trying to find a Nether Void on the cheap for a bit now but without much success. Still though, I think it would be a great card to have around.
The changes look good! I'm a bit curious about your decision to make a new section though. Why not just lump these into the free-form section so you're not forced to play 10 colorless cards if certain ones underperform.
I'm going to be running an 8 player tournament on the 24th of this month I'll be documenting how the standings went (single eliminations), who picked what, what ended up main board vs sideboard and finally what wasn't used in the end. If you're interested I could post all of this information back here so you can look it over. If you have any suggestions as for how to run things or whatever, I'm all ears
I think that an increase in the popularity of tempo decks, extra blink enablers and additional manlands has increased the value of Cloudskate to be competitive with Into the Roil. So I'm testing it out to see if that theory pans out.

Alright, thanks!
Looking forward to hear testing results .
Also I just noticed that you run Tattermunge Maniac but not Kird Ape is this due to it being hybrid and not needing switched on by a forest? I'd have thought that the 3 toughness and no must attack clause wopuld have made the Ape a decent bit better.

I do the same (running the goblin but not the ape), and the reason is that Maniac can be played by any green (or red) aggro deck while Kird Ape requires you to be gruul. It is simply a case of more potential decks for the hybrid card.

I think if you want to support green aggro, those creatures are pretty essential.
I'd rank them E1 > Captive > Lion > Leopard
I like Maniac more than Ape because it's playable in like 7 different 2-color aggro/tempo decks instead of 1.
