She does some really fun and unique stuff, but at the end of the day, even when she was "on", she was no better at closing out a game than the Hydra was. But she was a lot more narrow than the Hydra.
I hate to see the Pox/Smallpox/Skeleton tripod leave, but it looks like you're replacing them with some cards that are a little less niche. Did you not like Ob Nix or did you just need the 2-drop more?
I'm especially interested in the wave to journey swap and the rector, thirst, smallpox, skeleton, ob nixilis and tempt cuts. And I wanted to ask if zuran orb didn't do enough.
I'm okay with short reasonings, if you don't want to go into detail.

The Stax archetype has gotten so many universally good cards to help support it (Champion, Carver, Strike Leader, Alesha, etc) that it doesn't need the more narrow cards to function well anymore. I was getting feedback from my players that they had more than enough synergy for the deck with the great cards that things like Skeleton and even Pox were left out. They wanted more black spells that were just good in black aggro and not exclusive to the Pox style decks, so I made changes based off that feedback. And as you can tell from some of the other changes, good playable universal removal spells were being requested, so the change catered to that as well.

Wave to Journey accomplished two things. First, the 4cc white noncreature section is so completely stacked that it's hard for those cards to make the final 40. We also wanted more good cheap removal. That swap fixed both.
With the loss of Wave, Rector lost a powerful target. Again, the 4cc section is jammed up with good cards, and he was struggling to make the final 40 outside of decks that had the nut target for him. Just a bit too narrow.
Thirst is a fine spell, but we found that the artifact decks had more than enough other discard outlets, and didn't really want to be discarding their artifacts. Cutting Ruins was a mistake, plain and simple, so this swap makes more sense now. Plus, Ruins gets better with the addition of Ratchet Bomb (and the recently re-added Jar) so it needed to go back in.
The Pox related cuts are explained above. The deck was winning without them, so more generically playable aggro cards and removal spells were more desirable. We just didn't need Pox and Skeleton anymore when we have Champion and Carver now.
I like Ob Nix, but mostly because it was the best of bad options. My group didn't love him, so he's out for something we'll play more.
Tempt is a card I like too, but there's so much token support in the cube already that it seemed superfluous. As you can tell by a few of the other adds, I was trying to add a hidden information dynamic by tossing in three separate 0cc instants in this update. Fireblast is a good spell (it is a bit narrow because you need to be playing heavy red) but it can close out games and really surprise the opponent because it's hard to see it coming.
Interesting changes, I'm surprised by your reinclusion of Pain Seer. It didn't do much when I had it in my cube, getting a bear to survive combat and untap the next turn didn't happen often enough to get it to draw many cards. I've seen Blood Scrivener draw cards as my budget Dark Confidant replacement. Are you just trying to up your human count for Champion of the Parrish?

They both drew about the same amount of cards per game on average. The Scrivener either drew none or drew a bunch, but not a whole lot in between. Whereas I was usually able to get a card out of Pain Seer almost every game. The ceiling was lower on the Seer, but the average performance was better. And the second point of toughness was relevant, even though the average amount of life lost per card was slightly higher. So both cards are really similar, except instead of the card draw per game being 0, 0, 0, 4 it was 1, 1, 1, 1.

How in the world does Blood Scrivener draw you 4 cards in one turn?

If those cards are drawing you one card per game that makes them terrible.
Hardly - Phyrexian Rager was a staple until a year ago, still a pauper staple. These are both 1 cheaper. I would play "1B: 2/1; ETB Draw a card lose 2 life" in any cube.

I disagree completely (as usual).
I'd play a 2/2 for 1B that drew me a card when it came into play for 1.5 life all day every day.
But first you attacked a post of mine because you can't read, and then came in to bash the card (and my evaluation by proxy). Without posting anything constructive either time. I'm going to have to ask you for like the 5th time to stop posting in my thread unless you have something constructive to say.
Had a PM that came through this week showing interest in the Star Wars CCG cube I have in the OP. It reminded me how freaking awesome that game is. I'm going to try and set up a SWCCG draft this week using the (now) updated list. Good times!
Looking through your updated photos is like cube porn. Nice job on keeping the thing fully pimped. That's one thing I think about now that I'm over the 50% hump: new sets and the hunt for new foils.
On a different note, I didn't realize you had put Cradle back in. How's it working out for you? How often does it see play in off color decks? What decks want it?
Cradle has been in since I've been supporting the super-ramp package in green. Decks with lots of mana creatures like to combine their efforts with Cradle for a quick jump to a big fatty. It's also used in token decks that can use the green mana, like RG or WG tokens. I like it most in those kinds of decks, where I can use it to ramp me from a Spectral Procession into an Elesh Norn and stuff. It's decent, but I could see cutting it if it came to it.
The presence of combat tricks makes combat more interesting. Very few of them are worthwhile to have around, but the presence of one or two of them (especially Growth because of the colorless and free nature of the effect) can lead to blowouts in combat because they won't see it coming. I've seen it used in constructed recently, and the same applications it has there can drive success in the cube, maybe even more so because of how many cube games are determined in the red zone. If it was just free or just colorless, I don't think I'd be interested. But since it can be both, it's a tough spell to predict, and it may do interesting things.
