I dont know if you are willing to do this, but are you able to make a live action draft video of you drafting your cube with other people and making a deck and some gameplay?

I am trying to get better at making decks. I have had trouble creating more competitive decks as I only really build with the cards I have. I dont have that many value cards, in function or expense. I (almost) never play at FNM type events so its not like im playing against $2k decks. If I do usally play at one, Its a draft or limited game. Any advice on building decks is greatly supported! DMs are appreciated.
Thank you!
To put it more simply, it's like saying, "I can prove Jesus is real and loves you. See? Here's my Hispanic friend Jesus. He's had a crush on you for a long time. Tell em' Jesus."
Here's a joke! Whats the internal temperature of a Taun-Taun?
First of all: thanks for this thread. My son is 9 weeks old and I've been reading through this thread, starting sometime around page 280 with the Pox update, when he's had me up in the evenings. We bounce on an exercise ball to put him to sleep, and I can usually make it through a few pages of the thread before he's asleep. It's been pretty helpful in thinking about evaluating cards for cube, thinking about archetype and theater support, etc. Plus the alters are always fun. So thanks for all the entertainment.
Second of all: I'm at 450, or will be soon, and looking at my guild sections, I think I can live with just 3 rather than 4 cards. That opens up some room for me. I want to carve out a little room for C cards. I already run Eldrazi Displacer, Dimensional Infiltrator, Bearer of Silence, Reality Smasher, and I plan to add Eldrazi Obligator, Thought-Knot Seer and Kozilek. Problem is that both of the green options suck. I know you started out running Vile Redeemer, which seems narrow at best, and have switched to World Breaker, which seems even narrower. I don't really think either one is any good. That would leave me lacking a green C card. Not sure how to classify because of it, and it feels unbalanced. Sell me on World Breaker or Redeemer? Thoughts on classification if I choose to not have a green C creature?

I'm going to keep it in for extended testing, but it's still an experiment right now. Early results have been promising, but I'd consider adding in a proxy for a while before dropping the cash on one; make sure your playgroup enjoys/uses it first. It's been a long time since I've tested it, and there's been a good amount of support for the shells that play it since then. Most importantly are Feldon and the Darettis, because they really helped expand the artifact.dec shell into an extra color. Since there's more decks, more shells and more colors that can use Workshop than ever before, it seems like a perfect time to re-test it.
Thanks for the reply. I haven't used that kind of add-on before so I have no idea how it works outside of the short description on the product itself. I can how 4+ player setups would benefit more from this kind of thing vs the 1v1 matches the cube tends to revolve around.
Oh and we played with the conspiracy module for the first time last weekend. It was fun and the feedback was positive. It offered some interesting twists for sure both during the drafting and playing. Thanks for making it wtwlf123
Nah, even when we're in the mood for the Conspiracy Module (which is rare enough) we're not really interested in Planechanse and/or Vanguard stuff. Just not our cup of tea.
Any guess on the total cost of the SW Cube? I figure if I'm willing to spend a bunch of money on some Zendikar expeditions, maybe I should see if I can build a second Cube with the money first
I don't know for sure. A lot have the cards have grown in value since I transitioned from constructed into cube in that game. I looked at some of the cards recently though, and Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight and Emperor Palpatine are up over $100 each. EPP Maul is like a $40+ card, and there's a ton of good cards from DSII, REFIII and the EP1 sets that are in the $10-$20 range. I'd guess right in the neighborhood of $1500-$2000? But that's completely off the cuff.
I do not keep a legacy cube list myself, no. You can always start with a list you like as a base and tinker with it yourself until you have a product you're happy with...
In this case, I was considering using yours as a base (incredible job by the way) and replacing the power 9 with the signets and replacing the super expensive cards with similar ones keeping the curve. Do you think it would hurt a lot?

Hi Fel Barros
I was in your shoes when I first started cubing. I do recommend starting with a well-regarded and thought-out list before tweaking it to your liking. The trick is finding the right one that fits the direction you want to go.
I saw your other thread asking about unpowered 540 lists and Steve_Man's list was suggested. I would recommend modeling on his list if you are set on an unpowered cube. The reason is there will be inclusions/exclusions that are more appropriate for an unpowered list that aren't easy to see if you start with wtwlf's and try to modify it. For example, Trinket Mage is not as good without Moxen, nor are the Tezzerets (though if you are adding all the signets maybe they are still fine). These might be easy to see, but there will be more subtle ones that are harder.
Going forward, as lists are updated, the same logic applies. If you model on wtwlf's you have to ask yourself with each update whether it makes sense for your unpowered version. Whereas if you model on Steve_Mans you know that the updates already consider the appropriate power level / existing cards.
Hi, Bmholle, thanks a lot for your tip! I am feeling really well received at this forum , so thanks for that
I am looking at Steve and Wtw cubes and they are pretty similar, probably under 50 cards different. Maybe I will be able to transition from one to another and have the best of both worlds !

The Aether Revolt inventions have been almost completely released. Anything catch your eye wtwlf? For me the Sundering Titan in particular looks amazing. Happy to replace the previous artwork since I've never been a fan of it. The platinum angel is going to look very nice too I'm sure, though that card isn't in the cube. Might pick one up just to have one
Nope. I'm not a fan of the frame at all, so I only want one of them in my cube (just to have the frame represented). I'm using the Hangarback Walker, and that's still one of the only ones that I like. Same with the Expeditions (and FTV cards, for that matter) ...hate the frame, but I use one in my cube just to represent it somehow.
Thank you!

Personally, I have tried it and was not a fan. I save those for big multiplayer games.

Thanks for all the hard work.
Do you happen to have a Legacy Cube? Or , could I 'transform' your cube in an unpowered one? Or it would break it?
And if you don't , do you know a 'counterpart' of you , meaning someone who really understands cube and keep a legacy 540-card cube up-to-date?
