Q: Why do you have Bane of the Living listed as 7+ cmc? I just added a morph package to my cube, and I've gone through and adjusted cmc to reflect how they'll actually be cast most of the time: Exalted Angel at 4, Stratus Dancer at 3, Bane of the Living at 4 for -2/-2 on flip, Ire Shaman at 2, and Den Protector at 3. Not having played them at all, that's a guess. But I see you've got Bane listed at 7+. What gives?

It's not. I have it classified as an Xcc card in the OP. CubeTutor doesn't have a space for Xcc cards, so it goes at the top of the curve with all the other variable cost cards.
I am trying to get better at making decks. I have had trouble creating more competitive decks as I only really build with the cards I have. I dont have that many value cards, in function or expense. I (almost) never play at FNM type events so its not like im playing against $2k decks. If I do usally play at one, Its a draft or limited game. Any advice on building decks is greatly supported! DMs are appreciated.
Thank you!
To put it more simply, it's like saying, "I can prove Jesus is real and loves you. See? Here's my Hispanic friend Jesus. He's had a crush on you for a long time. Tell em' Jesus."
Here's a joke! Whats the internal temperature of a Taun-Taun?
Glad you're a fan of the cube! Thanks for stopping by to comment.
The cube is up there in value, thanks to the "kitchen table explosion" over the last several years. Most of my expensive foils and rare older cards were obtained when they were a lot more affordable. With alters, basic lands and all the contents factored in, it's right in the neighborhood of ~$30K? A stock de-pimped version with proxies for the $100+ cards could be obtained pretty affordably though, I'd wager.
Im super stoked. I love everything about this cube. I love the amount of money you've put into it for the additions you've put into it.

Building the cube right now, there's no way I'd be able to afford the super rare stuff so I'm buying chinese proxies for the power + duals + $100+ stuff but itss not too bad acquiring the other stuff, especially if you play Modern and you need Snaps/stuff anyways

I would estimate that at least 75-90% of our events are done without the Conspiracy Module on board. But every once in a while, we're in the mood for some goofy cards, and we toss the module in for fun.
Yep. I've been following. Check the new card discussion forum here in the cube area; lots of good discussion there. Not sure if anything spoiled so far is going in yet.
Ash Barrens is akin to Terramorphic Expanse/Evolving Wilds. It loses and handful of synergies and interactions that can be important in some cases, but as a stand-alone effect, it's the better card. Since I'm a pretty big fan of Expanse/Wilds as it is, I'll be happy with Barrens by default.
But lets look at the other mentionable cards from the set:
Magus of the Will is just a slower, more expensive, more fragile Yawgmoth's Will that telegraphs itself completely (killing off a lot of the value that you get from an effect like Will's). Cool card, but I don't even run Will anymore, and being a Centaur Courser for a bit won't make up for the loss of value on the payoff effect. Magus of the Wheel suffered the same fate ...and it even provided a 1 discount off the namesake spell, casts a spell that's better in the cube format, doesn't exile itself (so it can be broken with recursion) and provides an effect that's much stronger at instant speed ...and it still wasn't good enough.
Frenzied Fugue is probably comparable to Zealous Conscripts, but ZC is likely better, since it provides its own additional pressure, can be recurred for abuse, and provides a body that sticks around even if the stolen card dies off (or is given back to the opponent after they remove the enchantment) and it's a combo piece for some cubes too. And I don't even cube ZC anymore. Not to mention that the 4cc cards in red are packed and ultra-competitive as it stands.
And Crystalline Crawler showed promise, but proved to be too narrow and fragile. It needed to go into very specific ramp shells, and those decks needed to be 3+ colors. Then it had to successfully dodge both artifact removal AND creature removal, and you needed the ramp target to be available. Ultimately, those odds stacked against it and it wound up being mediocre in its (admittedly limited) testing. I'll stick with the more consistent 3-5cc ramp cards.
And none of the other cards in the set are really good. They're either mediocre, or simply solid multicolor cards that are easily beat out by better competition. Overall, C16 was pretty much a bust for the cube.
C+P my pros/cons list of Expanse/Wilds vs Ash Barrens list from the other thread for posterity:
Wilds/Expanse Pros:
Interactions with Crucible of Worlds.
Interactions with Landfall cards.
Post-mulligan 1-land hand decisions.
Situations where I can't afford to spend colors of mana I need now for colors of mana I'll need later.
Barrens' Pros:
Situations where I want/need any ol' untapped mana source.
Situations where I need the C.
Situations where I can afford to spend colors of mana I have (but don't need now) for colors of mana I do need now.
Situations where cycling the land at instant speed allows me to hold up reactive spells if needed.
Interactions with Life from the Loam.
