how permanent/staple-y do you think Ral Zarek (no time vault) and Solemn Simulacrum would be in a 380 powered environment? In particular, I'm concerned that Solemn might not do enough with moxen/lotus floating around, and I've never been particularly overwhelmed by Ral Zarek. Love to hear your thoughts, cheers.
1 - The mirage fetches grab dual lands, so they're more valuable for 3+ color decks, and sometimes valuable for decks that are only one of the two colors. They also give blue more shuffle effects, and they also thin the deck. And work with land recursion effects.
2 - Bouncelands provide virtual card advantage, so if decks can handle their ETBT clause, they're great lands to run.
3 - Colored mana on T1 is more valuable unless the land has a tremendous upside.
I have a follow-up question about the Mirage fetches.
Would you still include them if you were to increase your cube size to 720 cards? In a cube of this size, there will be longer between the ABU duals and shocks in a draft, which diminishes the value of fetches.

Yes, I'd still play them. I still want to grab dual lands, shuffle my deck and thin my draws. Even with less chance to see duals, they're still in there. Each one of them can grab 14 dual lands.
Abbot/Shaman are in because I wanted to have some more maindeckable red card advantage that's playable in aggro to help from being out-attritioned all the time.
Harbinger struggled in its UU mode all the time for us because of its inability to hit untapped targets, ya.
Welp I've ordered the last chunk of cards and should be able to host my first cube draft in the next few weeks! All my buds are really looking forward to it so thanks again for making this cube and keeping it up to date
Oh I see. That makes sense. I'm currently trying to learn the ins and outs of the cube, like reviewing the archtypes section you provided (thanks btw). Would you have anything off the top of your head for common cards combinations that come up often when you draft your cube or themes that people usually go for outside of the archtypes you have listed?
There are tons of them. The 2-power ETB theme supported by Imperial Recruiter/Alesha, Who Smiles at Death/Reveillark expanded upon by Feldon of the Third Path and Mimic Vat and stuff; combining Strip Mine/Wasteland/Dust Bowl with Crucible of Worlds/Life From the Loam; Time Walk w/ Soulfire Grand Master (or Eternal Witness/Den Protector + Crystal Shard/Erratic Portal); Kalonian Hydra + Triskelion; Mystic Snake + Mimic Vat... there are hundreds of powerful little synergies all over the place.
That's awesome. I'll give you feedback after I try the cube for the first time. Do you think a 6 player draft would be a good place to start to get a feel for the cube? If so, how do you usually set up the cube for that amount of players?
I was wondering how the Dragonlords you run have been performing. One specific comparison I'm interesting in is Ojutai vs Venser in Azorius, but i was thinking of replacing my jund card (Hellkite Overlord) with Atarka.

1 - Why you think: Flood Plain > Glacial Fortress and Bad River > Catacomb, for these guilds ?
2 - And, Boilerworks > Falls and Chamber > Harbor, for those ?
3 - And, Coast > Harbor and Reef > Falls ? (it would be better cards who do not take damage for blue ?)
4 - Adarkar Wastes vs Flood Plain ?
5 - Bad River vs Underground River ?
2 - Bouncelands provide virtual card advantage, so if decks can handle their ETBT clause, they're great lands to run.
3 - Colored mana on T1 is more valuable unless the land has a tremendous upside.
4 & 5 - Answered above.

1 - Adarkar Wastes vs Glacial Fortress vs Seachrome Coast ? What order ?
2 - Drowned Catacomb vs Underground River vs Darkslick Shores ? What order ?
The painlands are okay if I had to play them. They might be the 6th or 7th best lands in those color combinations.

I'm curious about Hangarback and the Abbot. Let us know how they do for you.

No setup required. Shuffle the entire thing together, make 3 random packs of 15 for each player, and draft it.
