Thoughts on Chandra Flamecaller vs Sarkhan, the Dragon Speaker vs Chandra Pyromaster?
I'm thinking of adding Flamecaller over Pyromaster or Sarkhan. I really liked the unblock able part of chandra's +1 but she seems like she's getting outclassed.
Also thoughts on adding hordeling outburst to support R/g/x aggro? Arlinn Kord got my synergy juices flowing
So it would seem that it's probably in the top 4 best cards for the guild. Being instant speed exile it's going to be played in most cubes. Most people seem to be replacing Ayli for it. I like Ayli but AU is very good removal. Thanks for the link, it answered my questions
The spoilers for SOI are getting interesting! I've been peeking at this thread to see what you've been considering. One question: Considering we already have Vindicate, why is Anguished Unmaking interesting and which card(s) are you considering removing to fit it in?
Ayli would be the cut. Instant speed exiling removal at 3 mana is boss.

I play the 6cc Chandra and the 5cc Sarkhan, and they're both excellent. I like them more than the 4cc Chandra.
Outburst would be decent if it weren't for the RR in the cost. At the moment, I prefer Tempt with Vengeance, and I don't even run that anymore. Red is usually a secondary color in token shells.
Hi wtwlf,
Have you considered moving the colored C-cards to their corresponding color sections (e.g. moving Eldrazi Displacer to white)?
In my experience C mana is easy enough to obtain in most decks and such a change would free up some space in green, red and maybe blue because the C cards in those colors are questionable.
My group has been requesting that we move the cube to 550 and add one more card to each guild. Any recommendations for what cards would make it if you added the fifth spell back into each guild?
I see you have switched out Mardu Strike Leader for Hypnotic Specter in your SOI update. I am a little surprised to see that, could you explain the reasoning behind it?
@Tactuz: I ultimately decided not to make that 3cc black change, because I wanted to preserve the easier 2B cost. But the original thought process was trying to get an extra discard outlet to help Asylum Visitor.
@traceurling: Dragonlord Ojutai is a good creature. I currently have it ranked 5 or 6 in Azorius. The competition at 5cc is steep in this format, and Avacyn getting printed didn't help Dragonlord's value.
Top 20 SOI piece was a great read, thanks for that!
I was curious if, at this time, you ever did a short synopsis of how the last cycle of changes have been playing for you.
I'm specifically wondering about the cycle of eldrazi that are colorless to cast or have colorless activated/triggered abilities. Have these all pulled their weight? Also, are you keeping these as a complete cycle, or are you willing to ax the weak ones and keep the good ones?
For me, I cut the blue and green ones. Matter reshaper is a maybe (if you consider activated/triggered abilities, he is the hardest colorless eldrazi to cast on curve), and mirrorpool hasn't really seen play in our group yet so I'm not sure about it. The white one, thought-knot, reality smasher, and Kozilek have been excellent, and the black and red guys have been solid.
Any thoughts or insights from your experience thus far you want to share?
The gulldrazi creatures have all been doing fine. We like to play blue tempo decks, so there's a home for Dimensional Infiltrator. The green one is pretty unique, because it gives green ramp decks a reactive way to protect a mana-dork board from wrath effects without losing the ability to ramp into your payoff card. I wouldn't have a problem shifting the better ones to the mono-colored sections and trimming the section down, but I haven't felt a need/desire too as of yet. Matter Reshaper has to go into a deck with a lot of C sources in it, but for the "mono-colored" eldrazi decks, it's been a welcome addition.
I've been doing research on cube cards, particularly trap cards, and I often stumble upon people talking about how Mirrari's Wake is bad. My question is, how has it been performing, and what purpose does it often end up serving in the cube? Another question my friend was asking was, do mono colored decks make appearances or is it often two colored ones?
Wake is not bad. It's super sweet. Big mana ramp decks like doubling their mana (shocker), and a lot of expensive cube cards work really well with the anthem effect.
Mono-colored decks make appearances (moreso now that we have C support) but 2-color decks are far more common.
Did you consider removing Boreal Druid instead of Wall of Blossoms in your update for Duskwatch Recruiter?
Do you think it is too important for colorless splash decks in green to remove?

I'm not willing to skimp on C sources just yet. Need more time to determine critical mass. It's still a new design concept.
How are the Colorless Eldrazi working out for you (Smasher, Seer & Reshaper).
Are they more an experiment that reflects the current environments, or are they here to stay?
Best regards,
bonda
I think the additions are more or less permanent for the foreseeable future. Unless the current C suite gets outclassed by actual artifact creatures between now and the time C cards are revisited.

'Clamp is better in a deck with a lot of ways to abuse it, and it has a higher ceiling. SoFI is just a better card for generic creature builds.
And those rankings are probably way out of date anyways, I wouldn't look too much into them.
